Chapter 26: Cathy and Pippy

"S-Serve me? Are you serious? I didn't ask for anything like this!"

Jean frantically responded to her desire.

"But you must Lord Jean! Where I come from, if someone offers you such wonderful gifts and treasure, it's only fair to offer yourself unto them! I wish to serve you… or…"

Jean eyebrows lifted.

"Or what…?"

He asked.

"…Or be your wife!"

Estrilda shouted which left the others behind Jean wide eyed and confused. They were just staring, clueless to this whole situation going on.

"I don't know how Giants work… nor their culture, but in Midgard I want to know someone before marrying them."

The Giant would lift her head to look at Jean.

"B-But I must do something to pay you back!"

Jean scratched the side of his cheek as he looked to the side, not really coming up with a conclusion on how to deal with this.

"Uhhh… well… I guess an housecarl isn't so bad?"

Grimhild grunted in annoyance.

"…This is madness…"

The small witch said, proceeding onwards into fairy city, leaving the others behind.

"I'll let you deal with this Jean, make sure to return to me once you're done."

They all looked at Grimhild who seemed more irritated than the usual.

"Oh thank you Lord Jean! My name is Estrilda, I come from a great family known to be mercenaries! I have experience in protecting my clients, thus you shall not worry! You're under great care when I'm with you!"

Fhiron and Kyto looked at each other.

"It's like she's ignoring the fact we're here…"

Kyto had said.

"Yeah… but she hasn't seen nothing from us yet."

Fhiron responded before elbowing Kyto in the arm, and now walking behind Grimhild steps.

"Cmon, let's go! You guys do remember why we're here after all, don't you?"

Jean looked at Fhiron confused.

"Huh? No not really… Grimhild didn't tell us."

Fhiron turned back around to face Jean.

"To get a blessing from a fairy of course! You left too hastily when Grimhild explained it, so cmon and let's get this over with."

Jean eyes widened.

"O-Oh… a blessing? That's unexpected."

Jean had smiled, looking up at Estrilda.

"Well… I guess we'll be together from here on out Estrilda, let's go!"

The Giant seemed to blush on her cheeks, seeing Jean walk away, but—

"Huh? What's wrong Estrilda? You not coming?"

The Giant looked to the side with her eyes.

"Well… there's one condition I didn't mention…"

Jean tilted his head to the side.

"What condition Estrilda? I hope it isn't anything too out of the ordinary…"

The Giant bowed their head and would start giggling.

"Ehehehe… hahahahahaha! Buhhahhahaha!"

Jean backed up some… creeped out from her sudden change in demeanor.

"Uhhh…? Hey you okay?"

"Ahahahahaaha! Master… call me your BITCH!"

"WAIT WHAT?!?"

Jean was fully creeped out now, but more confused than anything.

"Master, please fulfill my desires as I will protect your life! Call me all the dirty names you can think of! Slut, whore, bitch! All of those words turns me on… Mmm please~!"

"I-I didn't ask for this! I'm not doing something like that!!!"

"PLEASE MASTER! PLEASEE PLEASE MASTER!"

"N-NOOO!!!"

Elizabeth was with Pippy and followed the direction towards a certain location; they both were in search for Pippy's sister, known as Cathy. She was captured inside one of her kidnappers house, and eventually they found it after aimlessly walking around the large city of fairies.

"Whew… we're finally here Pippy!"

"Pippy is proud of Elizabeth! I'm glad you did all the walking while I used my Scout magic to find this house!"

Elizabeth risen her brow, confused.

"Well of course I did? Not like you can carry me you know."

Pippy crossed their arms after Liz's comment.

"Pippy can change his body size whenever he wants you know! I can do a bunch of stuff, but I keep it all a secret!"

Elizabeth would drop her jaw before pouting.

"Hmph! If I'm your friend Pippy you'll have to stop keeping things a secret from me!"

Pippy looked at the pouty girl and would pat the side of her face a few times.

"Don't worry Elizabeth, Pippy only tells you the big secrets rather small. Now let's move onward!"

Elizabeth would sigh, but eventually smiled. 

"Alright then."

She walked towards the house and slowly turned the doorknob… pushing it open to go inside.

"Hello? Anyone here?"

Elizabeth had fully opened the door, however once opening it, an arrow shot in front of her and aimed for her face… but—

"Huh?"

Elizabeth didn't even notice the arrow being launched at her face, but she still dodged it either way.

"That was a close one…"

Pippy was astounded.

"How did you dodge that Elizabeth? Even Pippy didn't notice that arrow! It was hidden with invisibility magic, and super sturdy!"

Elizabeth giggled to herself.

"Ehehehe… well my body kinda adapted to surprise attacks from the Goblin forest incident, and now it instinctively dodges attacks. It's just a Non-Mana born thing."

As she stepped inside the house she kept the door open.

"Alright Pippy, let's find your sister!"

Pippy would flutter above Elizabeth's shoulder and already start the search, first heading upstairs to search the bedroom.

"Is she up there? Wait on me!"

Elizabeth quickly followed behind him and headed upstairs, the two of them going inside the bedroom.

"CATHY!"

Elizabeth and Pippy noticed an tied up fairy on the bed… she was way taller than Pippy, even the height of Elizabeth at that.

"That's your sister?"

Liz asked.

"Cathy, wake up! Cathy talk to me, it's Pippy!"

Pippy was in front of her face and started tugging on her nostril, pulling it backwards.

"Wake up!"

Elizabeth walked over to the side of the bed, and leaned forward to see if Cathy was breathing.

"Well she's still kicking… maybe a little bit of force can do the trick then?"

Soon as Liz given an idea to Pippy, the Chronicle wielding fairy decided to change their body size. They grew in length and it all happened in the blink of an eye, their legs and arms sticking out, and fairy dust sprinkling off of them.

"Ta~Da! It's been so long since Pippy has transformed!"

Now with enough strength, Pippy risen his hand and slapped Cathy across the cheek, leaving a large red print there…

"PIPPY SAID WAKE UP!"

Cathy all the sudden shot her eyes open and shouted in pain.

"OWWW! WHO HIT ME? Huh…? Pippy?"

Cathy noticed her brother in front of her with his hands on his hips, hovering above her.

"PIPPY! I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!"

She tried to jump and hug her brother but fell off the bed, landing straight on her face.

"OW!"

Elizabeth backed up some.

"Oh dear… she's clumsy…"

The Rozenheart rubbed the back of her head laughing.

"Your arms are still tied up, here let me get that!"

Elizabeth would have her arm vibrate.

"Style of Matter."

She had sliced the magic nullifying ropes that tied up Cathy with her hand, destroying molecule bonds inside of it. She didn't know the style of matter at first, but witnessing her Sensei Izumi do it once, she already copied and mastered it.

"Alright, you're free now!"

Cathy quickly stood up and would look at Elizabeth.

"Thank you very much! What is your name?"

Liz had a big smile on her face.

"My name is Elizabeth… it's a pleasure to meet you Cathy."

Pippy returned back to his normal tiny self and went to sit back on Elizabeth's shoulder.

"Elizabeth is Pippy's best friend!"

Cathy glanced at her brother.

"My little brother… you're finally making friends aren't you? I am so happy for you Pippy! I couldn't be any happier to be your sister!"

She walked over to Pippy and leaned forward to kiss his small cheek.

"It's even more impressive that you made friends with a human."

Cathy giggled.

"Elizabeth isn't just any friend, she's my closest friend ever!"

Cathy wound smile brightly.

"Oh I believe you for sure big bro… even your superiority complex diminished a bit! Ehehe!"

Cathy said in a mocking tone, even causing Elizabeth to laugh.

"Ahahaha, yeah he was a little bossy fella when I first met him, but now I can see the true side of Pippy, and it's more precious than diamonds."

Pippy would blush from the two of them, proceeding to cross his leg over the other, and cross his arms as well.

"Hmph."

He closed his eyes and wouldn't look at them.

"Pippy is still the same, you two are just imagining things! Besides all that, your little brother will be traveling with Elizabeth and his other friends as well Big sis."

Cathy had her eyes light up.

"Oh my… other friends?"

Cathy asked.

"Yes, Pippy has many now, just like big sis with your hundreds of friends!"

Cathy looked at Elizabeth after Pippy replied to her.

"How many will be there?"

She asked Elizabeth.

"Well… we have quite a large group. There's Grimhild which is a golden mage, Jean who has an champion, Fhiron the elf king himself, Kyto which is a Cyrodel, and that's about it! Including me and Pippy of course."

Cathy covered her mouth with her hand.

"My my… even the elf king? I believed him to be dead after rumors of him leaving his home realm… but he's traveling with a group of people? How interesting… and my little bro will be part of your group as well."

Elizabeth nodded.

"Indeed, we all are a team, but more importantly, we are friends!"

Cathy closed her eyes before bowing her head, snickering.

"I see. Then I don't have to worry about my brother at all… he will finally get to see the world and how beautiful it is, outside of the Skyland."

Pippy scoffed.

"That's trivial! I'm only doing this because they need someone strong as the great and mighty Pippy to save them from danger!"

Cathy and Elizabeth snickered.

"Very well brother, your sister will pray to the Ancient Fairies for your safety! Be well, and take care of your friends!"

Cathy had her wings flutter behind her, and opened the window to the side of them.

"I love you little brother, always keep moving forward, life will always bring you down, but you have the willpower, I just know it!"

Cathy waved at the two of them, finally flying outside the window back home.

"Your sister is very sweet Pippy, be glad you have someone like her in your life."

Pippy would look down, his face tomato red.

"Of course… but you two didn't need to talk about me that way…."

Elizabeth giggled.

"We were just teasing you Pippy. But besides that, let's find the others."

"Right!"
