"Please wake up... wake up! Wake up, wake up, wake up! You can't be dead... you can't die on me big brother!"

One of the black mages cried over their brothers dead body, tears pouring down his eyes as he sobbed.

"Please come back to me... you promised to return home with me so we can see mom together! Remember?"

He sat back on his knees now and wiped the tears from his eyes while his nose had snot dripping down.

"*sniffle* Brother..."

"Hey... it's alright. Tell me your name?"

Komodo was now standing in front of the Black mage, holding out his hand.

"Senior Komodo...? Wait my name?"

Their eyes widened.

"My name is Johan."

Komodo smiled, grabbing his hand and lifting him up.

"Well Johan, I need your help more than ever."

"A gold mage... needs my help?"

Komodo nodded.

"Yes. Johan, can you bring the wills of everyone back together? We need everyone in this war to be focused and fighting... Because if we cry and give up now, it means the end of our very Country. Our family would suffer immediately from our fall. Do you want that?"

Johan shook his head in denial.

"No Senior Komodo, I don't! I don't want that!"

Komodo had smiled.

"I don't either, so work with me Johan! Let's get everyone back up on their feet and fighting once again!"

Johan saluted to Komodo.

"Yessir! I will get right on it!"

Komodo smiled from his sudden change of mood.

"Now then. I can only rely on Edward for the time being... I just hope he doesn't screw anything up."

Edward was standing in the frontlines and waving his wand back and forth at the army of mages in front of him as he faced them.

"That's no good, we have not enough firepower. At this rate we'll all be killed, do you idiots want that?"

Edward would say, having his smug look as always.

"I-I don't want that! I wanna win!"

One of the black mages shouted, causing another one next to him nod as well.

"I do to!"

Edward crossed his arms at their confidence.

"If you want to win this war, then put everything you got into your spells. The dark mages are weak against light magic, and yet we're still falling for their tricks. We look like fools!"

Edward turned around with a sigh coming from him.

"Honestly, my sister Elizabeth would even be better than all of you combined. Oh well, I can't complain now can I? After all, I am here, a great Rozenheart!"

Edward reached behind his neck and lifted up his hair, showing the birthmark of an Rozenheart to the other mages behind him.

"Fumu. I won't fall here, not at all. Let me show you mages the greatest spell that you would ever see."

Up above were leagues of flying creatures that just hovered in the sky, unable to release their dark spells from [Heavens fall] being active.

"I'll start with those flying grotesque creatures."

Edward had smiled, now raising his arm up into the sky.

"As an Rozenheart we tend to release more than we bargained for. But I learned to control my mana, and I am able to amplify it over hundreds of times."

The mages all looked at Edward in astonishment.

"More than... one hundred times?"

An Gold mage asked.

"Yes. Let me show you... my greatest spell."

Edward closed his eyes as his hair elegantly flowed in a golden aura that surrounded him. The golden aura seemed to be rich and pure, full of light as well.

"I practiced with a little bit of light magic when I was bored, so heavens fall isn't something I really needed."

He pointed his wand up into the sky now.

"But it does help amplify my power even more!"

They all glanced at Edward and his enormous aura of mana.

"Incredible... Edward's mana increased over hundreds of times more!"

"NOW THEN. DRAGON OF LUMINOSITY!"

Releasing from his wand was an straight ray of light that would then grow in mass to that of an dragon. It had no wings but looked more like a Chinese dragon.

The large creature seemed to even be sentient as it roared in the sky, having the color of pure gold with red eyes, attacking every flying creature into the sky and swallowing them whole.

"This is the power of Edward Rozenheart you fowl dark mages! Remember it well and remember my name!"

The Dragon of Luminosity shown no signs of stopping it's rampage as the entire legion of flying creatures were all gone in mere seconds.

"QUICK STEP!"

Meanwhile in the battle between Takami and Nokitera, they seemed to both be evenly matched in terms of strength and combat speed. Takami used quickstep to enhance her speed and quickly dodge the Dark Commanders Halberd by an inch.

"Tsk. What a nuisance."

Nokitera had said, now taking his halberd from the ground and facing Takami.

"Well? Are you gonna use any of your dark spells Nokitera? Why are you stalling?"

Takami asked, purposely teasing him.

"I'm not a fool Takami. With your Kyokogen it's able to nullify any spell by absorbing it and turning it into more power and strength. You Kyoko's are a powerful clan, and I've faced your kind before."

Takami scoffed before spinning her blade around between each finger crevice, now pointing the tip right at Nokitera.

"Heh. If that stops you from using your dark magic then maybe I am too powerful for you! May as well retreat when you have the chance, Dark Commander!"

Nokitera scoffed.

"Retreat? There is no reason to do such a thing. This battle is only getting STARTED!"

Nokitera had an dark aura flare around his body, and erupt into the sky like a beacon.

"SAME HERE!"

Takami done the same. They both released their aura's from their body and erupted it into the sky, however Takami's seemed to be pure white, with a hint of blue.

"LETS TAKE THIS TO THE NEXT LEVEL!"

Takami would dash forward again before using [Quick Step] once more, vanishing in front of Nokitera. Nokitera raised his Halberd to guard against her incoming attack, but Takami slipped through the guard by quick stepping behind him and cutting across his back.

"GRAH!"

Nokitera shouted in pain but he didn't turn around. He predicted Takami's next attack, and he predicted it precisely. Takami ended up quick stepping in front of him, thinking he would turn around, however it was already predicted, and now he slammed the blunt side of his Halberd against her hip, throwing her to the side by force alone.

"GYAA—!"

Takami eyes widened in pain, her body even folded from the attack as she slammed into the ground and bounced back off of it. She eventually rolled in dirt until her momentum slowed down to show her unable to move on the ground.

"He... predicted me..."

She coughed up blood, and a large bruise was shown on the left side of her body.

"I-I can't move..."

Nokitera approached Takami as he spun his Halberd around.

"Is that all you can do Takami? Your movements are predictable just as your attacks."

Nokitera stopped a few meters away from the Commander and held out his hand, casting a magical circle.

"Hounds of Darkness!"

Multiple dark portals appeared at the ground as many hounds climbed outside of it, biting down upon Takami's legs and restricting her.

"...Aaahhhhh!!!"

She yelled in pain, feeling her mana being sapped out of her.

"My mana... it's being drained?"

Takami tried struggling but the dark hounds would bite even harder.

"...F-Fuck!"

Nokitera laughed at her struggle.

"Hahahahaha! Are you at your limit now Takami?"

Takami struggled to look up at Nokitera with her bruised and nearly broken body.

"I have not lost yet... Nokitera!"

Nokitera would jab his halberd into the ground and lean up against it.

"I can spare you. But only if you do one thing..."

Takami squeezed her one eye shut, questioning the Dark Commander.

"What one thing...?"

Nokitera snickered.

"We have no Kyoko inside our army, and with skill like yours, you can be a great asset to the dark mages. What do you say Takami? Do you wanna keep your life, or lose it? Simply handing yourself up to me is what it takes."

Takami had her head fall to the ground as she lost her strength.

"N-Never... I'll never... do anything for you! Nor anyone part of the Dark Nation!"

Nokitera would sigh, now leaning off the halberd and pulling it from the ground.

"I gave you a chance Takami, and you blew it. I suppose ending you here and now is the only option I have."

Nokitera would raise his Halberd in the air, holding it with both hands.

"GOODBYE TAKAMI!"

Takami closed her eyes and accepted defeat.

"CHAAAAA!!!"

Another voice was suddenly heard as Nokitera was kicked away by an large foot.

"—NGH!"

The dark commander had flew miles away from Takami and slammed into a mountain, crumbling half of it.

"I won't let you. I've come to help Mesnil country under Master Jeans order!"

Standing behind Takami was an large girl... a giant to be exact. The hounds biting upon Takami were now thumped away by large fingers with relative ease, dissipating them.

"Hey, are you okay?"

Takami had just enough strength to turn around and look up at a large woman.

"A...Giant?"

The Giant was none other than Estrilda.

"Ihihihi~ that's right, I've come to help you and the people in Mesnil!"
