Chapter 45: Genesis Vs Nokitera

"...Haaaaaa...!!!" (Nokitera)

Nokitera shouted before launching another wave of mana at Genesis.

"Your cosmic inflation won't be enough!" (Nokitera)

Genesis managed to evade the blast, however he disappeared from clear sight of view.

"...How fast is he...?" (Nokitera)

"You may embody logic as an transcendent being, but it won't be enough against me." (Genesis)

Genesis appeared behind Nokitera, slamming his foot right into their back.

"...Guh...!" (Nokitera)

Nokitera stumbled forward in the sky, now turning around.

"...Hyaaaaaa...!!!" (Nokitera)

He would sway his hands to the side, sending a wave of dark fire at Genesis.

"...Tsk!" (Genesis)

Genesis held up his arms to block most of the fire, however it seemed to still burn his body.

"Even though fire shouldn't have an effect against me, as well as everything that exists in the universe... it can still burn me." (Genesis)

"I am no fool. You're a walking universe after all, that means everything that exists in the universe will have no effect against you. However my logic magic is no ordinary magic..." (Nokitera)

Nokitera extended his arm to the side, swaying another wave of flames at Genesis.

"My logic magic comes from the Sea of Darkness! The very place that Lord Dracula comes from. It exists outside of the universe of Midgard! You're not invulnerable against it, and that means you can be hurt!" (Nokitera)

"...How troublesome." (Genesis)

Genesis was in a bad situation, however he smirked.

"...Ngh... Gwaaaaaaa!!!" (Nokitera)

The flames around Genesis would evaporate.

"....Gwuooooo...!!!" (Nokitera)

Nokitera began to bulge at his stomach. Holes inside his belly would open up as shining light illuminated outside of them.

"...My body?!" (Nokitera)

"It seems that Cosmic inflation is doing its job." (Genesis)

"...Mas-ter... Jean..." (Estrilda)

Estrilda looked at the battle in the sky, feeling her body become colder.

"Estrilda!" (Elizabeth)

Liz quickly ran towards Estrilda, placing her hand upon her head. 

"Estrilda stay with us! Jean can handle him, and after he does, he can heal you!" (Elizabeth)

"I don't think that's happening Elizabeth. Pippy thinks it'll be the opposite." (Pippy)

Elizabeth looked at Pippy with wide eyes.

"What do you mean Pippy? Don't say those words! Jean will definitely help Estrilda!" (Elizabeth)

"...Elizabeth, he said that he's no longer Jean. He mentioned something about transcending his lower dimensional self into a higher position. He's not the Jean that we know." (Pippy)

"...No way...! So that's what he means?" (Elizabeth)

Liz looked down with teary eyes, proceeding to hop onto Estrilda's chest.

"We won't lose you Estrilda! I promise!" (Elizabeth)

"...Master Jean... is no longer... himself?" (Estrilda)

Estrilda closed her eyes in shame.

"...This isn't what I wanted... I could've defeated him... but I was distracted when I seen master Jean join the battlefield... this is my fault." (Estrilda)

"You doing that only shows that you care a lot about Jean. I'm sure it made him very happy Estrilda!" (Elizabeth)

Estrilda slowly opened her eyelids to look into the sky, blood dripping down her cheek.

"...If I made Master Jean happy... then that's all I need before I die." (Estrilda)

"No! Don't say that Estrilda! You won't die!" (Elizabeth)

"...GWAAAAAAAA...!!!" (Nokitera)

Nokitera screamed his lungs out until an massive explosion was heard in the sky, creating a large smoke cloud. Cosmic radiation could be felt around the battlefield however everyone was unaffected by it.

"Is that all you have, Nokitera?" (Genesis)

Genesis stood afloat with his arms crossed, and a smirk on his face.

"...Did jean kill him?" (Elizabeth)

"...Is it over?" (Pippy)

"It's not... Master Jean looks like he's playing around rather than taking this seriously." (Estrilda)

An eerie laugh was heard as the smoke cloud gently faded away.

"...It is great to be immortal! Us transcendent beings have greater immortality than even the fairies. No matter what you throw at me, I'll only come back! I cannot be killed unless the concept of logic is killed alongside me." (Nokitera)

"Is that so? The cosmic inflation was only for show, you know?" (Genesis)

"That cocky attitude of yours will only be your downfall." (Nokitera)

"I can say the same to you, Nokitera." (Genesis)

They both stared at each other in the sky, however they decided to take this to the next level.

"Let's fight for real. I'll show you how much I've been holding back." (Genesis)

"Kuhahaha! And I'll show you the power of Orcus himself!" (Nokitera)

The two transcendent entities initiated in battle again. Genesis was the first to charge in with an attack, and Nokitera followed with his own as well. They both clashed and sent shockwaves throughout all of Midgard, crumbling space in the process.

"....Woaaaaaahhhhh...!!!" (Elizabeth)

"...Aaaaghhhhh...!!!" (Pippy)

Elizabeth and Pippy was nearly blown away by the shockwaves, but they hung onto Estrilda for dear life.

"...Haaaaaa...!!!" (Genesis)

"...Hyaaaaa!!!" (Nokitera)

They clashed fists with each other again, however this time reality shattered. They were both sent into another timeline.

"...YAAH!" (Genesis)

Genesis sent a roundhouse kick into Nokitera's shoulder, shattering reality again and sending them into another timeline.

"...BASTARD!" (Nokitera)

Immeasurable strikes were sent at each other until it became infinite strikes.

"TA, HA, YAH!" (Nokitera)

"HA, YAH, HAAA!!!" (Genesis)

They collided their fists into each other at such rapid successions. No one could keep up with their battle anymore; their attacks would hit each other before it was even thrown. Their punches and kicks sent shockwaves throughout the Midgard of different timelines. Not even those in the future or past was safe anymore.

"I'LL BLAST YOU TO HELL!" (Nokitera)

They were back in the original timeline now.

Nokitera took it even further by holding out his arms and condensing mana into a large sphere at his palms.

"I'LL DESTROY EVERY TIMELINE THERE IS TO EXIST!" (Nokitera)

Genesis risen his brow

"There's endless timelines inside Yggdrasil, destroying them would not only destroy me, but you'll unbalance the entire world tree." (Genesis)

"...So what if I unbalance the entire world tree? Hahaha...MWAHAHAHAHAHA! Who's gonna stop me? My power is beyond even the gods!"

"...Are you a fool? Yggdrasil isn't just some immobile tree, it's a sentient force that keeps all realms together, even timelines. Attempting to destroy those timelines and worlds will lead to your imminent death. Even is transcendent beings cannot match Yggdrasil's power, as it even surpasses it." (Genesis)

"Your words are a mere bluff!" (Nokitera)

"I can see and hear everything in the universe. From past to future. I know the true power of Yggdrasil." (Genesis)

"Then we'll have to see about that, won't we?" (Nokitera)

".....IDIOT!" (Genesis)

"BEGONE! SWIRL OF DEATH!!!" (Nokitera)

The sphere of mana was launched from Nokitera's palms, approaching Genesis at high speeds.

"Every timeline will be destroyed... you really are a madman." (Genesis)

Genesis held out his hands.

"...HAAAAAAAAAAAA...!!!" (Genesis)

Genesis yelled as the attack slammed into his hands, pushing him backwards. Timelines started to become unstable, and even Yggdrasil would have to be involved if Genesis didn't stop the attack.

"Master Jean...!!!" (Estrilda)

Estrilda yelled as she watched the battle take place in the sky. Both Pippy and Estrilda watched it in awe, unable to process words.

"....I may transcended my lower self... but... I still remember the memories I spent inside of Midgard. If it's destroyed, then I'll never be able to forgive myself, even after death!" (Genesis)

"HAHAHAHAHA, FOOL! WHEN YOU DIE, YOU'LL BE CONSUMED BY ORCUS! YOU WONT HAVE TIME TO FEEL REGRET!" (Nokitera)

"...My power... it's fading... away..." (Genesis)

The sphere of mana would slowly shrink.

"But it doesn't mean I'll give in!" (Genesis)

"What? Is my swirl of death being nullified?" (Nokitera)

"All energy in the universe is in my hands. Not only from this universe... but every other universe from each timeline we crossed over during our fight." (Genesis)

Genesis smirked.

"Our battle has only strengthened me even more!!!" (Genesis)

"THIS CANT BE—" (Nokitera)

"One last attack is all I need to defeat you, Nokitera!" (Genesis)

Jean held the swirl of death in one hand before cocking back his other arm.

"...HYAAAAAAAA...!!! (Genesis)

Genesis sent a direct punch into the sphere of mana exploding it upon contact. However a torrent of crystal-blue light would follow behind the punch, aiming its way at Nokitera.

"...He condensed the very fabric of time itself into a stream of energy... he's truly mastered everything in the universe. I have no choice but to evade—" (Nokitera)

Nokitera would hold out his hand, casting an layered barrier of logic magic around him. The condensed fabric of time would now collide into the barrier, pushing the dark commander back.

"...GNAAAAAA...!!!" (Nokitera)

Nokitera yelled as he tried to defend against it, and actually managed.

"...He's defending against the attack...?" (Genesis)

Genesis' appearance began to change again. His white hair became purplish as his tattoos disappeared, alongside his pure white eyes.

"...I'm back to normal?" (Jean)

Jean would fall from the sky after reverting back.

"Woah— Somebody catch me! I'm out of mana!!!" (Jean)

Pippy quickly flew to the sky, catching Jean inside their arms as they made their way down.

"...Master..." (Estrilda)

Estrilda coughed up blood, and watched Jean land on her stomach.

"Estrilda...? Wait... why aren't you healed yet?" (Jean)

Both Pippy and Elizabeth looked down in sadness.

"When you became Genesis... he didn't even bother to heal Estrilda. You became an entirely different person Jean." (Elizabeth)

Jean looked at Elizabeth with wide eyes.

"...I can't remember anything...." (Jean)

Jean began to tear up, clenching his fist.

"...That's... not fair... I wasn't in control of my body...." (Jean)

Jean closed his eyes, tears falling down his face.

"Pippy can't help... Pippy's magic isn't strong enough to heal Estrilda..." (Pippy)

Nokitera still struggled with the attack until it eventually broke through his barrier, hitting him right into his stomach.

"...IMPOSS— GWAAA!!!" (Nokitera)

His eyes were bloodshot red as his very existence began to change once again. 

"He reverted me back...? He condensed the fabric of time and specifically made it to where I'll revert back to the point where I never gained transcendence."

Nokitera was reverted back to his state before transcendence, being unable to obtain it again. His body fell to the ground, however he still retained some of his power that he had when battling Estrilda.

"...I'll destroy you... I'll destroy you all...!!!" (Nokitera)

His body laid flat on the ground before slowly standing back up. An large hole was shown in his stomach.

"Foolish life forms! I'm the bringer of Orcus!" (Nokitera)
