There were thousands to nearly a million men marching all together through the harsh environment of fire and the eruption of volcanoes. The ground had streams of magma flowing for miles upon miles. The sound of volcanoes in the distance erupted violently, shaking the ground in the process.

These men were brave however, none of them shown any fear upon their march. These group of men were Templar Knights, carrying out their duty by marching towards Basilisk Kingdom and to slay Ouroboros once and for all.

"…Are we there yet, Lord Siegfried?" (Soldier)

"It seems we're arriving fairly close, yes." (Siegfried)

Siegfried hung Balmung low in his hands whilst he looked up into the sky.

"…We have entered the lands of the Dragons. No man nor creature in Midgard has survived to tell the tale of this place. It swarms with dragons, and mysterious creatures that's attracted to pure mana force." (Siegfried)

Siegfried gently closed his eyes.

"…Of course pure mana force is only something that good hearted people have. And negative mana force is something that cold hearted people have. It's like oil and water. However every creature loves the taste of pure mana force for unknown reasons." (Siegfried)

Siegfried would continue walking as he and the other knights seemed unaffected by the heat around them. Luckily they were wearing their holy armor, which prevents any fire or unholy spells to pierce through it.

"I do hope Kyto, Elizabeth and that Golden mage has managed to deliver the envelope to King Vrunemir. I have no idea who the person was that given it to me, but for some reason I was eager to take it… and to deliver it to King Vrunemir. That is why I went as far as to give it to those three." (Siegfried)

He closed his eyes and exhaled from his nose.

"It felt as if my mind wasn't in the right place when I seen the envelope. Was I placed under some hypnosis spell? I am uncertain." (Siegfried)

"Sir Siegfried, I detect an approaching enemy heading our way." (Galahallt)

Galahallt's appearance wouldn't go unnoticed. As the man who faced off against the black dragon in order to save the village and their people, he was known as an hero among the Templar Knights.

"Which way?" (Siegfried)

"From down below! With my clairvoyance Magic I can detect any approaching doom and it's location before it happens." (Galahallt)

"I see. Very well then." (Siegfried)

Siegfried turned to face the large army behind him.

"Listen up men. An enemy approaches us from underneath at any second, we must stay on guard! I cannot tell you what creature heads our way, or what their motive is, but I have heard many rumors on there being creatures that eats away at pure mana forces, which is something that all of you have from being good hearted people. There's no telling how it can do it, so stay close." (Siegfried)

"Hahahaha! About time for some action! I grew tired of hunting for bears back at camp!" (Solider)

"Heh. Bears? You're lucky! I had to hunt for rabbits. Imagine how bored I must've been!" (Soldier)

"Oh really? You two idiots wanna complain about a rabbit and bear, but imagine not getting to hunt at all." (Soldier)

The soldiers made jokes to one another as the ground beneath their feet began to shake.

"…It's here." (Galahallt)

An large explosion happened in front of them as a massive, and lengthy dragon head appeared from underneath. It wavered back and forth before roaring. The roar was enough to make someone deaf.

"…It's been quite some time since I've smelled the rich aroma of pure mana forces. And look what we have here! There's nearly a million of you with them. Ahhhh, you must be the ones who march to destroy our creator, Jörmungandr?" (Dragon Head)

"As I expected. Dragons that wants to eat away at others information and purity. It'll be so much better if you dragons were attracted to negative mana forces but you rather choose the pure ones." (Siegfried)

"The pure ones gives us more mana and increases our mana as well. The negative ones only drains us." (Dragon Head)

The dragon slowly bowed its head to be face to face with Siegfried.

"I've also heard of you Siegfried. The one who defeated Fafnir, the rogue dragon of legend. You're indeed powerful if you can do such a feat, however you have gotten weaker over time." (Dragon Head)

Siegfried held Balmung with two hands and pointed the tip of the blade right between the dragon eyes.

"Fafnir only wanted chaos… just like your creator Jörmungandr. That's why he created the Ouroboros duel after all! Just for fun and games." (Siegfried)

"…That is where you're wrong Siegfried. Our creator Jörmungandr only wanted to do an experiment, and it worked. He decided to create the Ouroboros duel to show the other races how greedy and chaotic you humans are. Once the Ouroboros duel came to existence, so many humans done it for either money… or for power. But it's gotten so ridiculous that even the strongest of opponents in Midgard wouldn't even bother doing it." (Dragon Head)

"I've heard this story by hundreds of dragons I slayed. I hate to say it, but it is true. Us humans are a greedy race! Our race only cares about power and riches. We don't care about anything else. But it isn't our fault; The Predominant Blade of Monarch. Also known as Overlord, has spread its effect on us." (Siegfried)

"Oh?" (Dragon Head)

"The Monarch Blade Overlord has started the very concept of evil in the old times before we had calendars. Many were affected by the blade and humans were the ones most exposed to its evilness thus making us the most greediest race and chaotic race out of any other. It's also why we're hated the most. It isn't entirely on us. Blame the god of fate who's made us this way, dragon." (Siegfried)

"Ohhh I see. You know your history don't you young man? AAAAHAHAHAHAHA! BUT THAT HISTORY IS ONLY A MYTH!" (Dragon Head)

The dragon head leaned back and began to laugh hysterically, rumbling the ground as he done so.

"Only a myth! The blade overlord isn't even real! AAAHAHHAHAHAHAH!" (Siegfried)

"If that's what you truly believe dragon, then so be it. But I won't waste anymore time speaking to you if you're just gonna ignore my claims." (Siegfried)

The ground underneath Siegfried's boots would crack as he leapt from the landscape.

"I'll finish you off, so I can have the head of your creator, Jörmungandr!" (Siegfried)

"You'll have to attack me all at once with your army if you wish to enter the kingdom of Basilisk!" (Dragon Head)

Siegfried swung Balmung brutally.

"…Gwaaaaa…!!!" (Dragon Head)

The dragon head leaned its head back yelling in pain as a large gash appeared on its cheek.

"Impossible! I could've sworn I dodged your attack!" (Dragon Head)

"Incredible… Sir Siegfried is unbeatable! There's no way that any dragon can stand up against him. This must be Balmung's power!" (Soldier)

"No. It isn't Balmung's power. General Siegfried is just too skilled, and has great speed over the dragon. He is an master swordsman to the heart." (Galahallt)

"Incredible. One day I'll be fighting like General Siegfried! I'll make sure to get powerful as him." (Soldier)

"Hmph. I said the same thing, I've even obtained great power and mastery over my spells, yet I am still not equal to a fraction of his power. He's merely too powerful. After all, he is an hero that's been chosen by Yggdrasil itself." (Galahallt)

"…I've never understood that hero thing ever. What does it even mean?" (Soldier)

"To put it in simpler terms; an hero is someone that's chosen by Yggdrasil itself once they're born. Yggdrasil usually chooses an hero to fulfill a duty that they must do, in order to keep balance in the 9 realms. Siegfried doesn't know his duty yet as an hero, but he assumes it is to eliminate Jörmungandr, and bring world peace to humans once more." (Galahallt)

"I-Is that so…? Heroes must got it easy, huh?" (Soldier)

"HAHAHA! Of course they do! But there are some enemies that can even kill an hero, and that's either another hero, or a witch. Champion wielders also fit in the mix." (Galahallt)

"Hah, a witch huh? I don't believe they exist even for a second." (Soldier)

'…Too powerful… how is this even fair? I dodge his attacks but when I do, he attacks with double the power!' (Dragon Head)

Siegfried and the Dragon Head moved in blurs to everyone else's point of view from their fast movements.

"What's wrong Dragon? Are you too scared to fight back against me?" (Siegfried)

'I must find a way to defeat him. I usually don't fight dirty… but my life is at stake here!' (Dragon Head)

The Dragon would find an opening as he attempted to evade every attack, and now opening his jaw.

"With my flames, it'll burn you into a crisp, while simultaneously absorbing your pure mana force itself! You have no chance, SIEGFRIED! EVEN YOUR ARMY WILL BE CAUGHT IN IT'S RADIUS!" (Dragon Head)

"W-What? No way! Is he serious?" (Soldier)

"Tsk. Damn coward!" (Siegfried)
