Astoria held the knights face close to her and focused her eyes once again, lighting them up into an crystal blue glow.

"I'll use my Kyokogen to heal you all and stop the mana cancer from causing any more damage." (Astoria)

"W-What's happening to us…?" (Knight)

"Your mana is being sapped away and fueling the surrounding area. That's what mana cancer does; drain your energy and gives it to the life around it such as plants, animals, or even people." (William)

"Everyone, you all stay here! I'll be back!" (Leelee)

"Huh? Princess Leelee where are you going? We must stick together. This place is dangerous, you can easily be harmed if you venture onwards by yourself!" (William)

William quickly sprinted over to the princess, gripping her arm, however she tugged away.

"You think I don't know that William? Stand your ground and follow my orders! You will obey me, and my every command. We may all be close friends, but I am still the princess of Feerota kingdom!" (Leelee)

William closed his eyes as he fell to his one knee.

"…Damnit… I can't disobey the charm of the Princess…" (William)

William was forced to bow to Princess Leelee and listen to her every command now. Her charm was her aura itself, making anyone who comes into contact with it serve her and become her loyal servant. That was the ultimate power of the princess. She could even send her aura into her opponents from a glare and force them to follow her every command.

"Princess Leelee, what do you plan to do?" (Astoria)

"I will open the door to the Chrono tower. Did you forget? I can see into the future when the right moment asks for it." (Leelee)

William grunted as he tried standing but failed miserably.

"W-What do you mean by that? Does something bad happens if we come with you?" (William)

Leelee shook her head in denial.

"Not to you and Astoria, but to the knights that follow us." (Leelee)

Leelee would then sprint down the hill, accelerating herself towards the tower.

"…Well whatever it is, thank the gods for Leelee's future sight." (Astoria)

William was finally let free as his body responded to his actions.

 "…Damnit I could've stopped her!" (William)

William fell back on his butt.

"Tell me William, why do you want to stop Leelee so badly? Can't you rely on the princess a bit more than what you're doing now?" (Astoria)

William bowed his head as he panted.

"I promised something to her Astoria… and I mustn't break that promise, at all costs." (William)

"We've been friends for more than twelve years now, and you still cannot tell me?" (Astoria)

William stood back up and sighed.

"…It's a promise that I made… to the king…" (William)

Astoria risen her eyebrows.

"What promise was it?" (Astoria)

William turned to the side, denying eye contact.

"Tell me William… don't hide this from me." (Astoria)

Astoria risen from the ground and approached William in haste.

"What are you hiding? Nothing in this world can make you feel… fear? And yet you turn away every time I ask you of this promise you made." (Astoria)

William felt an gentle breeze blow across his face, causing his blonde short hair to waver in the wind.

"Do you remember… that day…" (William)

Astoria walked closer to him, her arms behind her back.

"That day, when we were saved by… him?" (Astoria)

William nodded.

"Yes. This is where it all begun." (William)

***

An carriage was heard driving along the pavement. It creaked as it carried dozens of passengers inside of it, all seemed to be captured.

"Hahaha! How much do you think they'll sell them for?" (Bandit)

"Hell if I know! But I heard that underground King Vrunemir buys them for millions!" (Bandit coachmen)

"Millions? Really? What is that sick bastard into if he's buying slaves for that much?" (Bandit)

"Heh. If you ask me, that bastard seems desperate for slaves. He probably uses them to watch them brutally beat up each other to death for entertainment." (Bandit coachman)

The bandit scoffed as he walked next to the carriage.

"What a waste. He could at least give them some duties before taking their life." (Bandit)

Inside the carriage was an balled up girl who hid in the corner, while the other captive slaves were crying.

"Where are we going…?" (Astoria)

A young brunette spoke as her blue eyes gave themselves away.

"We're going to pay King Vrunemir a visit MISSY! Looks like he's up to buy a couple of slaves for an reasonable price." (Bandit)

"…King… Vrunemir…?" (Astoria)

"Yeah that's right. The one who rules Vrunemir nation, he'll be the one buying y'all. Especially you… miss Kyoko brunette." (Bandit)

"No way! King Vrunemir would never do such a thing! He's an courageous and noble man! My father always told me about how great of an guy he is!" (Williams)

An blonde headed child stood up as he approached the bars of the carriage, gripping them.

"Take back what you said about King Vrunemir!" (William)

"How stupid are you kid?" (Bandit)

"Take it back!" (William)

"William calm down!" (Astoria)

The bandit shoved William back down to the carriage floor.

"Cant you see kid? Every fucking officer in this damn kingdom doesn't care… look, can't you see em?" (Bandit)

The bandit pointed at an officer across the city of Vrunemir as they stood dozen meters away.

"See him?" (Bandit)

"HELPPPP! HELP USSS!!!" (Slaves)

The slaves all reached their arms out the bars trying to yell for help, but it failed miserably. The officer ignored them.

"Why isn't he facing us…?" (Astoria)

"That's because every single officer in this kingdom knows about what we're doing! They even support the slave trading we do… day by day…" (Bandit)

William eyes widened.

"No… stop it… stop lying! That's not true! King Vrunemir would never let this happen! Ever!" (William)

"Too bad kid, looks like we're now moving underground. Get use to those cuffs, because it'll be an everyday thing from now on." (Bandit)

The carriage came to an halt.

"DRAGON! THERE'S A DRAGON!!!" (Officer)

"What?!?" (Bandit)

"What's going on William?" (Astoria)

William looked behind them and far out into the city.

"…Is that… fire? All the houses are on fire!" (Astoria)

William tried kicking the iron door open.

"We have to escape! Open the door! Get us out of here!!!" (William)

"Cmon, we have to escape!" (Bandit)

The bandit and the coachman both quickly ran away from the carriage.

"But what about the slaves?" (Bandit coachman)

"Forget about them! Move your ass!" (Bandit)

"No, wait! You can't leave us here, please!" (Astoria)

Citizens was heard miles away running in fear as terror reigned upon the kingdom of Vrunemir.

"Look William! Everyone's running out their house, maybe they can help us!" (Astoria)

Astoria and the other captive children started banging on the iron bars, attempting to gain everyone's attention.

"Please help us!" (Astoria)

One of the citizens finally turned their direction.

"You disgusting children! Stay away! You don't belong here!!!" (Citizen)

Astoria's eyes widened.

"W-What do you mean mam? Please save us, we're stuck in this cage!" (Astoria)

"I will never save an commoner! We're all royalty! Die and ascend to Valhalla where you belong, worthless commoners!" (Citizen)

Astoria dropped her arm as she reached for her.

"Commoner…?" (Astoria)

"We must be up in the section of royalty. They must only care about royalty and nothing else…" (William)

Astoria started to tear up.

"Then… no body will bother to even save us… and we'll die?" (Astoria)

"I AM FAFNIR! THE DRAGON OF LEGEND! I AM ALMIGHTY, I AM POWERFUL! I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED BY THE LIKES OF AN YOUNG BOY LIKE YOU!" (Fafnir)

Everyone looked up into the sky, seeing the dragon soar through the air, agonized in pain from its tone of voice.

"…Who's fighting that dragon?" (Astoria)

"I-I don't know…" (William)

Astoria and William looked at the flames fifty meters away from them, seeing an boy walk out from them.

"Hey… who's that guy?" (Captive slave)

"I don't know… but is he the one fighting the dragon?" (Astoria)

"My names not 'young boy' dragon. I go by the name of Siegfried, and I'm here to destroy you." (Siegfried)

"Siegfried…?" (Astoria)

"…Siegfried huh…?" (William)

"GET HIM SIEGFRIED! KILL DAT BIG BAD DWAGON!" (Captive slave)

One of the captive children yelled as they cheered the mighty hero onwards.

"I'll end this quickly." (Siegfried)

"Wait, please free us!" (Astoria)

Siegfried looked at the captive children, quickly walking up to the carriage and busting the iron door down with his weapon.

"Woaaah where did you get that blade from?" (William)

William asked as he disembarked the carriage with the rest.

"Questions later. But I can at least give you my name. I am Siegfried." (Siegfried)

"O-Oh… Siegfried, my name is William, and this is Astoria. Thank you for saving us, really!" (William)

Siegfried smiled.

"I'm only doing my duty."

Siegfried looked up into the sky.

"Get ready Fafnir… I'm finishing you off, with my conceptual weapon… BALMUNG!"
