Jake finished changing the keywords for the system. It took a while, but now the system wouldn’t pop up from him just thinking about it.

Jake also took the time to use his information concealment passive skill to hide any information he didn’t want known about him, such as his previous life, transmigration, etc.

Now he has time to try and feel energy in the outside world.

After an unknown period of time, Jake saw a message from the system appear.

Daily time in training space has finished, automatic exiting will commence in 3, 2, 1

Then Jake felt something soft underneath him. Looking down it was the soft stone bed. Looking at the side, he saw the giant ogre sitting in the same position as before he entered the training space thankfully.

It seemed he had to be attentive of the time in the training space next time. He always got distracted when thinking about something especially when he was close to a breakthrough. In the last life it was inventions and in this life it will probably be magic.

Opening the system and checking if when he could enter the training space again, he saw that it had a cool down time of 16 hours. He had read that the training space and arena will always reset when it was midnight. So, it was 8 in the morning if this world also ran on a 24/hour day.

A moment later Jake felt something inside of him, it was his vital energy it was circulating too fast. Looking at his stomach where the vitality was being transformed, he remembered that absolutely tasty tiger milk, it seemed that it wasn’t just a delicacy, but also a high energy food that he had read about.

He would have to get more of it next time, it will help him grow faster and stronger.

Jack saw that he couldn’t do much with being restricted by the magic crib, so he decided to take a nap.

By the time Jack opened his eyes, he saw and smelled something embarrassing. He realized that since he was just a baby, he had a bladder and bowel incontinence, so he peed and defecated on the floor.

Why didn’t the magic crib clean it up? It can restrict him but can’t clean his excreta?

Deciding this wasn’t the time for that, he felt his stomach groan in hunger. Turning his head, Jake saw something amazing. The ogre that was near him was controlling water in a skillful manner. Wasn’t this magic!

A moment later the water was aimed at him. Petrified in confusion, Jake didn’t have the time to crawl away before the water reached him.

Thankfully water washed over him, it felt like a soft and comfortable bath, and a moment later he felt and smelled great. It seemed the giant was just as disgusted and cleaned him up.

Jake couldn’t believe he witnessed magic so fast, and it was from a giant ogre.

Afterwards the giant ogre picked him up yelled, probably calling the tiger again to feed him. Waiting for a few seconds he saw the tiger again. He was pushed towards it again. Though this time he didn’t struggle and sucked as much milk as he could from the tiger for his growth.

When Jake felt completely full, he reluctantly let go, and was picked up again.

Though a moment later, Jake felt excited because the giant ogre went past the magic crib and was going to the front of the cave.

Upon reaching the entrance, Jake narrowed his eyes due to the bright light outside. A moment later he recovered, and he couldn’t believe what he saw. A medieval town or maybe a city.

Then what happened next made Jake somewhat scared but a little excited. The giant ogre covered both of them with water and then used it to propel them towards the area.

A half a minute later, the giant ogre stopped propelling them before a wooden sign and then started walking. Jake finally had a close-up view of the place. He was a little stunned by what he saw.

On the large road and huge shops, he saw what he could assume to be goblins, cats, trees, and plants moving about. They were a bit hard to see because he was so high up being carried by a giant ogre.

The goblins looked like they were about to rob people with how they were speaking, made Jake think that is definitely a goblin. What was strange was that they were all wearing robes, and least it wasn’t a suit.

The cats looked a little like a smaller counterpart of the tiger living with them, but what was strange was that they were talking and trading with a goblin. What was going on!

The trees and plants also looked like they were trading. Jake was speechless how can trees and plants trade?

Unfortunately, the giant ogre didn’t share the same fascination as him and kept walking along the road. What was strange was that any creature that saw them would ‘nod’ politely towards them, well not him but probably the giant ogre. It seemed that giant ogres, or at least his parents, were well respected in this area.

At his point Jake decided to just call this giant ogre as ‘his mother’, there was no harm in having a good backing. He also didn’t have parents in the last life, so he didn’t really feel burdened doing that.

During the walk, Jake saw more strange creatures and lifeforms such as golems, elementals, animals, mammals, and reptiles, on the road. What was strange was that all of them looked like they had intelligence and would nod towards them. Though he didn’t see any other humanoid creature apart from the goblins.

Then his mother finally stopped before a large building and entered it.

Once inside Jake felt the air around feel much more comfortable. It looked like it was also laced with magic. Looking around the building, it was covered by letterings that were glowing.

The creatures inside the building were a couple of goblins and walking plants. His mother then kept walking straight until it reached another door and opened it.

Inside Jake saw a familiar face, the other giant ogre that was in the cave during his birth, most likely ‘his father’. His parents then started talking with each other leaving Jake nearly having a broken ear drum. After a while, they left the building and headed somewhere else.

After nearly a whole minute of walking, they headed towards one of the buildings. It was even larger than the previous building by at least 5 times. Upon entering, Jake felt restricted yet comfortable, just like when he was in his magic crib.

Looking around, Jake saw the place was covered by glowing lettering from the top to the bottom, it looked so strange yet beautiful.

A moment later, he saw a strange scene, his parents bowed slightly ahead. Jake couldn’t help but look at where they were bowing. That was the first all the others bowed to his parents, who can make them bow? Jake turned to look, and he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. An emperor penguin?

The penguin looked slightly strange; its eyes were white with no pupils. It was wearing a white robe with strange marking that covered it. It carried a wooden staff that was taller than itself. It also strangely looked like it was expecting them.

The penguin seemed to sense him looking and stared back. Strangely Jake felt exposed as if the penguin saw and knew everything about him, well at least the information he hadn’t concealed. Jake couldn’t believe that information concealment came in so handy so early.

In the training space, Jake had removed any information he didn’t anyone in this world knowing.

The penguin then turned towards his parents and began talking, Jake wasn’t sure how they understood each other.

Then both of his parents stared at him as if in shock. Jake had no idea about what was happening, until his father placed his large finger on him. Jake then felt vitality flow into his body completing a full cycle. It seemed that the penguin also saw that his vitality was strange and told his parents. Was it because vitality flowed equally over his entire body?

Though what happened next made Jake confused. His father started laughing while whom he assumed his mother started crying happily. Jake was confused, so was having vitality flowing equally a good thing?

Then he heard a voice appear in his head.

“Little youngster you are one strange giant ogre, your vitality is flowing equally throughout your body! Yet even more strange or should I say impressive, is that your vitality already flows towards your brain. Unbelievable! I hope you grow up fast, you will make a great addition to our forces.”

Jake turned towards the penguin, whom he assumed spoke to him, in disbelieve and fear. How did he speak with him, and even more importantly how did he understand him, it didn’t sound like any language he knew.

Fortunately, it no longer looked at him but started speaking to his parents. Jake guessed the penguin thought he couldn’t understand him. Jake couldn’t blame him, who would believe a newborn could speak and understand.

A while later the penguin turned around and left further inside the building. His parents bowed slightly and left the building.

While leaving the building Jake saw and felt that his parents looked at him differently. It was as if he was their son. Feeling out of place, Jake started thinking about what was happening.

From what the penguin said, the vitality flowing throughout his body didn’t seem like a problem. What impressed the penguin was that his vitality was traveling to his brain.

Then Jake started connecting the dots. When he read the book ‘Necessary Knowledge for Energy Users’, he learned that sensing energy in the body and controlling it to connect to the brain before the brain was completely formed, will cause a non-intelligent creature (often a beast or monster) to gain intelligence, and become as smart as a regular intelligent lifeform. The sooner the smarter the creature will be. Intelligent lifeforms already had vitality connected to their brains.

The penguin being impressed that he had vitality connected to his brain meant one thing, giant ogres were monsters, and so was he. Jake didn’t feel that bad knowing that. It was the same to him whether a giant ogre was a monster or not. All he cared about was becoming a mage as soon as possible and finding a way to return home to his wife and kids.

While Jake was thinking, his parents reached the same spot he had entered town. This time though his mother didn’t use the water propelling magic, rather his father placed his hand on the ground. The next moment everything went dark.

A few seconds later Jake felt his sight return and saw a cave. Looking closer wasn’t that their cave?

It seems that his father was faster than his mother at transport, though to be honest Jake liked being propelled by water, it had a great view and felt great.

While Jake was thinking, his parents walked inside the cave again.

They then passed the area he was familiar with. As they kept walking Jake saw a strange sight. Hammers, anvils, and other smithing tools he didn’t recognize were all over the floor. Also, there were unfinished works all over the floor.

When they reached near the end of the cave, he saw the tiger that fed him. Looking closer he saw a few baby tigers near it. Though that wasn’t surprising considering that the tiger had milk.

They came over and started licking them except for one. It stared at them with surprising intelligence, just a like the large cats in town.

Jake’s parents didn’t pay attention to them and let them do as they pleased as they reached their destination. A table with a few old books on top of it. His father grabbed a book. They then started discussing with each other until his father put the book in front of his mother. After a few more words, his father left, and his mother turned towards him. After a while, she turned around and opened the book. She then started speaking. Jake didn’t understand anything she was talking about, and his ears hurt from her loud voice.

This continued until she started to speak the same word repeatedly, while staring at him. It took him a moment to realize that she was teaching him!

Jake didn’t know what to do. Should he start speaking the same word back so quick, or would he be considered a monster. Well, he supposed he was already a monster.

Considering his options didn’t last long. His mother just wouldn’t stop talking, and his head started hurting and his ears felt like they were burning.

That was the moment Jake spoke his first word this life, and it was in giant ogre language.
