I had just finished my talk with Eliah, and it was obvious that I touched a nerve. I mean she smashed the table completely. In all honesty I was terrified the entire time, but I couldn’t let it show. I had to push her into a corner with only my words. Hopefully she will agree to deal with this nuisance that is “The devourer”. She said she would have an answer by tomorrow. I just hope that we have that much time. I need to act quickly.

I quickly headed out of my study after telling the maid to take care of that table. Her name was Julie and she was the only maid in this entire castle that I could trust to keep a secret. You see, a lot has happened between her and me. Now she has my undying loyalty. I rushed down the hall towards the throne room. I found a door next to the throne room door that was my fathers office, but in front of the door was that familiar shady man in black robes. This time though his robes had a crest on the shoulders. Upon noticing me he began to speak.

“Oh oh! If it isn’t Prince Eren? Where are you off to in such a hurry? I regret to inform you that your father won’t be seeing you now, and he told me to turn away any visitors at the door?” This shady bastard was an Eliah cultist the whole time? But why would father?...

“Turn away any visitors? Now that is the shadiest thing you have ever said. Didn’t you just make that story up all on your own. Where the fuck is my father? Is he in there?”

“Worry not, your father is fine, and no harm will become of you; however, I am going to ask you to come peacefully with me. It is my diligent self that will have the honor to take you to meet my dear lord. After that you will become a stepping stone for the true lord! I am sure you have met her amazing self! I am sure it is so!! Oh, how I envy you!!! Oh, I find it truly detestable that you even have met her… I hate you! Truly…Truly…Truly I despise you. The lord said that I couldn’t harm you. Oh, how I truly hate those orders, but it is all for the sake of that person! Isn’t it amazing!? Aren’t I amazing!?... No that isn’t right… It is our lord that is amazing for thinking of such a painstaking plan… No, even more amazing is the person who for our plans sake…”

Before he could finish I cut him off by teleporting next to him and sending him a right hook. He blocked it with his left hand, and then the shady bastard grinned and pulled a knife out of his cloak in his right hand. I blocked his knife hand with my left wrist. I succeeded in blocking his knife hand but he sent his right leg into my gut causing me to stumble over.

He then approached faster than I thought any human should be able to move. He sent a chop to the back of my neck and my vision started to turn black and warped. I started chanting to teleport, but something hard hit my head and my vision went dark. Afterwards I was sent to dreamland.

“...And then the evil Eliah was defeated by the hero…” My mother, the queen, just finished the book as I sat on her lap. I looked up at her and it looked like she wanted to say something more. “Mother, what happened to the Hero Leo? Did he die as well?”

“No, it is said that he founded the Kingdom of Leo. It is a fair nation to the west of ours. Contained within its borders is Eliah’s old castle. It is currently a neutral place where scholars go for their research.”

“How do we know for certain that Eliah died? Wasn’t she a vampire progenitor mother?”

*Cough* *Cough* *Cough* My mother started to cough violently until blood started to come out of her mouth. “Mother! I am going to go get the doctor! You wait here!” I said as I jumped down from her lap, but she instead grabbed my arm.

“Mother! What are you doing!? I need to get you to the doctor!” I said while yelling at her. I tried to break free from her grip, but her grip on my wrist was too tight. Just how is this frail woman able to have this much strength?

“Listen, Eren…You already know that my disease is incurable. There is nothing that can be done by that doctor. Besides… I am happy…” She coughed a few times, but then she smiled at me.

“I have such an adorable child! I couldn’t be happier…” She said as tears started to roll down her cheeks.

I woke up from my dream surrounded by stone in all directions. I could hear the faint dripping of water next to my face. When I looked up I saw that I was inside of a cave with no one around. The only reason I could see in the darkness was a magic light at the top of the cave.

I tried to move my arms, but they were chained to the stone wall. My legs were chained to the floor. I felt incredibly drowsy as well. “That bastard must have drugged me…” As if on queue the bastard walked into the cave dragging someone behind him. The person being dragged was my father.

“Now, don't make such a face to me. It is Truly…Truly and abhorrent face to make to me. You are truly disgusting. Thankfully I can be done with this job and you soon enough. Oh, but don’t get the wrong idea. I am incredibly happy right now. I am incredibly ecstatic!” He said as he smiled. I could finally see half of his disgusting burnt face.

“You aren’t so talkative now that I have bound you? Aren’t you just boring? This is why I truly hate you!” He said as he dropped my father on the ground.

My father hit the ground with a thud, but it was clear he was still alive due to the rising and falling of his chest. The Eliah cultist approached me and bent down in front of me.

“You will be a part of the grand event tonight? Aren’t you happy? Aren’t you overjoyed? To be able to…” He was about to continue until I bit towards his face. He dodged my attempted assault and grinned.

“You still are very lively! Well you can use that later to complete your mission! And once you do everything will change!” He exclaimed loudly as his sick grin grew even wider.

“What do you mean to complete my mission? You disgusting bastard!”I yelled out at him in a threatening tone.

“Hehehehehehehehehe…” That bastard started laughing with no concern for my intimidation. I mean obviously it wouldn’t work. I was just hoping to buy time while I thought of something.

“Your mission is of utmost importance…” He paused for a bit in thought before continuing. “I guess, I can tell you. Even though I truly despise your despicable self…Are you familiar with your family lineage?” He must be talking about the man who slaughtered a dragon leading to the founding of this kingdom. “Yea, what of it?”

“You see, Enderman invoked a certain magic on his bloodline. If one of the bloodline dies the magic is passed down to the next successor. In other words, if I were to kill your father right now the magic will be passed down to you!” The cultist exclaimed while looking like he was in ecstasy.

“What does this fucking magic have to do with anything? What does this even have to do with Eliah?” All of this just sounds like some ramblings of a crazy person; in fact, it is just that. There is no way this man is sane. He must have lost his sanity some time ago.

“Well, you don’t need to know the minute details. Just know that the true lord Eliah will finally be free. You see when the magic is being passed from your father to you… we will usurp the magic using our very own magic circle… Well, I will begin preparations.” He then teleported away with my father. Leaving me alone in the cave.

“I need to get out of here… I have to escape… I need to get to my mother’s closet aid. Yes, if it is him he can help! But how do I get out of here?”
