The forest was quite a peaceful place, the faint chirps of bugs and distant sounds of flowing water, filled my head. Though that peacefulness came to a halt, as my heightened senses detected a being up ahead. I placed my Phylactery down inside of a bush, as it would get in my way. Ahead of me was a young elven man, wearing a wonderful black cloak, with poofs of black fur on the shoulders, and the ends of the cloak. My love of fashion led me to approach the forest elf.
“Hello, I am intrigued by that cloak of yours, what is it made of friend?” I said, appearing behind the elf. He had jumped back, a look of terror spread across his face as his gaze met my own. I felt quite embarrassed after realizing he is probably frightened by me, as I am wearing no clothing.
The elf unsheathed his sword, which had been hidden by his large cloak. “You— You chose the wrong person to fight undead!” The young elf exclaimed, with a confident upper body, although his shaking legs and on the verge of tears expression, gave him away. I put my hands up and told him that I simply wanted his cloak, my piercing gaze fixed upon him.
“Why is it that you are so afraid of me?” I asked, honestly confused on why. The Elf looked dumbfounded as if I was insane. “Your– your presence..” the young elf muttered. My presence? And it was at that moment that I realized that there were two reasons for the boy being so afraid. For one, I am a talking undead, as usually undead are mindless beings unable to speak. Second, my immense magical presence is wildly flowing out, drowning the atmosphere around me. For other beings that are weaker than me, their instincts scream out, sending their bodies into panic.
I immediately suppressed my presence, slightly calming the boy down. “I apologize, as I had simply forgotten about my immense power. My name is Rhondu, please would you honor me with yours?” I said kindly. The boy threw his cloak at me, screamed inaudibly, running away. Putting my bony hand on my chin I thought about whether I would scare every person whom I came across. I hope not, as that would be quite the bother.

If I were to have my human face, then you would see a large smile, as I wore my new cloak, picking up my phylactery. For my lair, I required a cave. And in that cave I would carve out many floors, creating an underground castle of sorts. I fantasized about this as a human, having my own castle, Oh, and of course servants and knights. With my new powers, I could make this fantasy real, I thought while happily strolling through the elven forest.
I had been curious, so I checked my abilities, which revealed my capability of going beyond the 20th rank in magic. It seems I now have the capability of using the subtype magic Necromancy. I hummed gleefully, as I was extremely happy with my choice in becoming a Lich. Though I don’t know if I want to look at rotting zombies.. Maybe I will refrain from summoning zombies, Yes that is a good idea.
Finally, I happened upon a small cave carved into the side of a cliff. The cave was lit up with the bright flames of my fire magic. The inside of the cave was a square-like shape, perfect for the entrance where my front doors would go. I moved my fingers in excitement, as I readied my excavation spells. That night, the elven forest, and all its inhabitants had experienced the biggest earthquake ever, although they had no idea it was caused by a skeleton in a fancy cloak.
A few days had passed, since I began excavating my underground castle, or I guess you could call it a fancy dungeon. It consisted of 100 layers, with the final floor holding my phylactery, which is guarded by twenty-four 20th rank Death Knights, a large suit of black armor, created by Necromancy. The 99th to 70th layers all had traps, and high-tier monsters guarding them. The rest of the layers consisted of libraries, farms, etc. Of course, a king of a castle requires a throne room, which is located on the 72nd layer, right above my resting chamber. And if I ever have any living beings residing in my castle, I prepared rooms in the 73rd layer to the 65th.
Of course on all layers other than the 100th floor, I have large groups of Darkness Knights patrolling the layers, keeping any unwanted person out. I also have a jail prepared, just in case. You might think that I'm done, but my artsy soul cried out since I had no paintings in my dungeon castle. Now, I need to hole myself in my research room, to learn a spell that allows me to transform into a human, so that I may purchase fine art.
