“First, Aaron Smith…”
Slowly, most of the kids were called for their awakening.
The role Numbers were not allotted according to their names but rather were based on the time they took admission to the school.
Cedric was the last person who got into the school and right before him was Oscar.
“Derrick Warren, come forward for your awakening.” The teacher called out Derrick.
Derrick came in the front and sat on the seat right beside Grandmaster Maria.
“Are you ready, kid?” Grandmaster Maria asked.
Inside the school, all the noble titles were ignored and the teachers had the right to treat every student equally. Even the teachers themselves usually came from the nobility.
Derrick nodded.
Maria started gathering some mana in her hand and then infused it into a glass ball in front of her.
After Maria spoke a spell, Derrick placed both his hands on the ball.
The ball turned brown and slowly it turned dark brown.
“It is Earth Element, B Rank talent,” Maria said.
Derrick jumped up happily. Any talent above the C rank was considered very good in the kingdom.
“This is very good. Though, if it was the light blue one, it would have been better.” Derrick said but still jumped around.
Light blue meant that the person had the potential to awaken the aura and follow the path of the sword. The lighter the colour, the better the talent.
It also told what rank the person may hold in the future. The lighter the colour, the further he would go.
The further growth, unlike magic, did not completely depend upon talent but also on hard work.
For mages, Talent was more important while hard work could not be neglected either but for the knights, disciplined hard work mattered more.
A few more names were called after that and then, it was the second last roll number.
“Oscar, come here.” The teacher called him in front.
Oscar went forward and followed the same process as Derrick had.
When Oscar kept his hand on the ball, a very light blue coloured light appeared on the ball.
“This- This is a very good talent. This is a Sword Lord-level talent. Congratulations child, you have a bright future ahead of you.” Maria said.
Oscar’s talent caused an uproar in the whole class.
The teacher even called the vice-principal to let him know of Oscar’s awakening.
“Yes, I think we need to ensure his safety until he enters the academy.” The Vice principal said.
He was a bald man with a height of over 6 feet and a hideous face but his nature itself was very friendly.
“Come on, Oscar. I’ll take you to the principal for now he will decide how to proceed.” The vice principal said and then left with Oscar.
Cedric sitting at the back got happy seeing all this but he also got more nervous about his awakening.

As Cedric worried, the teacher called his name,” Cedric Ashlet, come forward.”
Cedric went in the front like the others.
When he kept his hand on the ball, an orange-reddish light appeared.
“You have awakened Inferno Element, B+ Rank. It is pretty good.” Maria said.
This was another thing that made everyone go into an uproar but Cedric was not happy at all.
All his siblings had awoken a Rank A+ talent and his eldest sibling, who had the highest talent in the whole human population right now had awoken an S rank Water talent.
The Brixia kingdom, being the 3rd most powerful kingdom did not have a lack of rank B mages and it was not very rare to find one.
In case Cedric was a normal citizen, he would lead an extremely good life as a mage but since he was not, it was not good for him at all.
“With this, everyone has awakened. Everyone with a B rank or above talent can enrol in the national university of fighters while the others can go to subsequent universities according to your awakening. Everyone can now go home.” The teacher announced and then left the room hurriedly. Cedric assumed that she must have gone to the principal’s office to see Oscar.
Cedric got up and exited the classroom before anyone else.
He had completely forgotten about the little argument he had with Derrick the previous day.
Cedric quickly exited the building and went to the carriage he always travels in.
“Young Lord, you got free so soo-” The driver was speaking but was interrupted by Cedric’s angry expression.
“Shut up and drive back home,” Cedric said and sat inside the carriage.
The carriage soon reached the mansion through the teleportation portal.
Cedric wanted to hurry into his room and spend the rest of the day thinking about his future moves.
But, he was not able to directly rush into his room.
He encountered his 6th brother, the one who was older than only Cedric.
“Hey little brother, how was your awakening?” He asked.
His name was Jonah, he was a Master Rank Mage.
“It was good. What do you need from me?” Cedric asked.
“Oh my, I am 10 years older than you, you should at least call me elder brother,” Jonah said.
He was indeed 10 years older than Cedric.
Every sibling in the Ashlet family had a gap of 5-10 years between each other.
This big age gap gave every older sibling a long time to accumulate more power and get stronger, making things even more difficult for the younger siblings.
“I awakened a B+ Rank talent, elder brother,” Cedric said.
Jonah smirked and came closer to Cedric’s ear and then whispered to him,” Be careful now, kiddo.”
