This world wasn't even a 'simulated world', but merely a 'virtual world', just like the pure white space that Han Yanyan returned to every time a world ended.
There were countless people in a simulated world, each of whom had their own karma and causality, interconnected with each other, influencing each other, thus propelling forward the world with its laws and logic.
This world was a simple replica of Leo's real spaceship created by the system, with neither causality nor independent logic. It was like an empty movie set.
Therefore, there was no need for an architect to generate this world. The AI could do it alone.
Han Yanyan had been defeated by Leo Parker's phobia of women.
It was true that she had conquered his heart within the virtual world, allowing him to accept her touch, caress and even kiss. But before that, when Leo Parker had lied about 'letting her out' to rest, he hadn't really dared face a living woman made of flesh and blood and soul in the real, three-dimensional world.
He said that he would 'let her out', but in fact he had placed her into this imitation world. From the hibernation pod to the cleaning robots, the food processor, and even the simulation system control cabin, everything was duplicated. Everything was just data.
Han Yanyan was far too sharp. That was why Leo Parker had hedged his bets by lying to her in advance.
And it had worked. She had fallen right into a trap.
The aide had agreed to give Leo an hour. He hadn't left, but instead found a place to lean against inside the operations room, lighting up a cigarette with his fellow soldiers.
When he was on his third cigarette, the hatch of the operations cabin suddenly opened and Leo climbed out. He was so mentally stimulated that he couldn't stand up straight. Instead he draped himself over the cabin hatch and panted.
Noticing that something was wrong, the aide walked over to ask, "What's going on?"
Leo's head suddenly jerked up. His eyes seemed to be dripping blood, and his expression was as if he wanted to eat someone. "I'm going to fuck her to death!" he roared.
All the soldiers stood there stunned, unable to comprehend what had gone wrong with this mad scientist in such a short time.
Leo had already charged out the door, stumbling and staggering like a madman. Tossing away his cigarette, the aide chased after him.
Leo rushed madly past two hatches into the cabin in which the hibernation pods were placed. He slammed open the hatch and dragged Han Yanyan out, throwing her onto the floor still soaked through with culture medium. Unzipping his pants, he yanked out his member and pressed himself on top on her.
Following hot on his heels, the aide kicked him off.
"Are you crazy?" he raged. Bending down, he picked Han Yanyan up.
Choking and coughing on culture medium, Han Yanyan lay weakly in his arms, gasping for breath, her eyes half open.
Less than an hour ago, she had begged him for help. This time she didn't. She merely watched him quietly with her half-open eyes.
The attendant lifted his head from her and frowned at Leo, saying sternly, "What were you trying to do to her?"

"I'm going to fuck her to death!" Leo panted from his position on the ground. His pants were down, his body exposed, and his expression terrifying. It seemed that he might at any time get up and rush over to tear Han Yanyan to death with his teeth.
But the soldiers who followed after pointed their guns at him. This was the real world, in which death meant death. Leo didn't dare to act rashly.
"Give her to me!" He said through gritted teeth.
The attendant said coldly, "If you so much as touch her little finger before she wakes His Grace, I'll kill you!"
Saying so, he looked down at the woman in his arms. Her eyes were half-open and she looked very weak. Her culture medium was mixed with a high concentration of inhibitors, and it was obvious to anyone how uncomfortable it was.
The attendant intuited that something must have happened between them in the world in the time it had taken him to smoke just a couple cigarettes. Knowing Han Yanyan's skill at playing with hearts, she must have completely enraged this mad scientist. He looked like he was about to eat someone.
He could also imagine exactly what sort of treatment this innocent woman would suffer after he left.
Having reached his current place in the world, the aide had, out of necessity, a cold and ruthless heart. But at this moment, he lowered his head and took a second look at her. She couldn't speak, merely regarded him, as if she were in a coma and yet still completely sober.
He had been with her for several years in the worlds of Ding Yao and Yao Chen, and was no stranger to her.
At that moment, the attendant's heart softened.
He paused, then said to Leo, "When this is over, she..."
"Don't even think about it!!" Leo shrieked. He tried to stand, but tripped over his pants and fell flat on his face. He struggled to pull up his pants, screaming like a madman, "Don't even think about taking her away! She's mine!!!"
Han Yanyan had really crossed Leo Parker's bottom line this time. He had almost lost his mind. "If you dare take her away," he cried in a frenzy, "I'll kill your master inside the world! I can do it! Come on! Try me! Who's afraid of who?! Worst comes to worst, I'll just die!"
The aide's expression changed.
Leo Parker no longer resembled that mad scientist who had been afraid of death, greedy for money, and with no conscience or moral bottom line. He was completely insane!
Everyone has a reverse scale. He didn't know how she had done it, but Han Yanyan had made herself into Leo's.
The aide's slight softness disappeared immediately. "I'll leave her alone!" he said sternly. "But if you dare touch a single strand of the Duke's hair, I will turn you into stardust!"
"Swear." Leo pulled up his pants and tucked in his shirt. It made him look a little more human, but his expression was still terrifying. "If you don't swear, I won't work," he said, forcing the attendant's hand. "Swear!"
"Don't you Amijin nobles value loyalty above all else? Isn't your master trying to restore the glory of the White?" With his voice coming out from between gritted teeth, he said, "Swear upon your loyalty to Duke Kline and the glory of your Army in White, that even if everything is over, you won't even think about her! You'll leave her to me! She is mine!"
The aide looked into his bloodshot eyes for a moment, then slowly said: "I - First Attendant Lin Ran, swear by my loyalty to Yao Calande, Duke of Kline, and the glory of the Army in White..."
In the end, the attendant made the oath. He lowered his head after doing so, just in time to see the woman in his arms close her eyes.
Was she awake? Had she heard? He was sorry, but this was the only right choice he had.
