I could have sworn that the man was going to finish me off. The man had a completely different vibe when he raised his hands once again. Even Ryong was alerted, as he warned me about him. But something stopped him. He just withdraw and left.

As the crowd cheered for the match, Irene could be seen as shocked but happy as she grabbed the magic ball and shouted excitedly to whoever is on the other line, most probably Gerald.

The white-robed trio was excited while the students I beat up had mixed feelings. Especially the wild boy with the wind magic, Zephyr, who angrily stomps off after seeing the ending.

As the crowd continues cheering, I turned my head to the headmaster, catching him smiling at me sinisterly. It's like looking at another King Darius, to be honest.

Back in magicis Mundi, news in the awakener world spreads like wildfire regarding the skirmish between the Shinto Champions and the Chinese Champions. It seemed that the Chinese had stolen the Japan Champion's prey.

The Champions of each of the Japanese Gods are in a meeting on whether to take the Nine-Tailed-Fox back from the Chinese.

"They already stated that King Yama was the one who issued the order to retrieve her back."

"King Yama could have informed us that, why would he entrust to them?"

"Even the gods asked us to cease fire and return it to them. What gives you the right to stop God's orders."

"Imagine the offering we could have given to our sponsored Gods if we did manage to offer them the Nine-Tailed-Fox."

The meeting ground was filled with complaints and concerns about why were those on-site willing to leave the Nine-Tailed-Fox leave with the Chinese.

Nakamura Yuuma was one of those that were in the meeting observing the situation. As laid back as he was, not being able to do anything back then did leave a sour taste in his mouth. But still, he was one of those that took a neutral stance on the issue. His fellow God's chosen champion, Abe Kazue, surprisingly was one of those that think that not taking the Nine-Tailed-Fox back is a good thing.

Her logic was that she is not confident that the awakeners of Japan has the capabilities to seal the beast up themselves. 

Her words themselves are a huge controversy not only among the awakeners but also among the Omnyouji of Japan. 

For the descendant of the great Abe-no-Seimei to preach these lines, showed a moment of weakness, which the people of Japan's ego will never let go of.

But she knew their capabilities and decided that it was time they faced the truth. The crowd did not share the same views as her and the discussion started getting more heat up. People started raising their voices louder and louder as they talk, which in the end turned into an argument among the members.

The table held in the middle of the room was suddenly just cut in half. As surprising as it was, everyone immediately got up and unsheathed their weapons by their Instinct. At the front of the table was one person, sheathing her sword back in the scabbard. Kamiyami Haru proceeds to take a seat before speaking, "Are you guys done?"

Those 4 words were enough to shut everyone up as sweat drips down from their head, and they anxiously took a seat down. 

"My decisions from that day are absolute. Anyone who objects will answer to me."

The room was silent. No one dared to make a move due to Kamiyami's Influence. That was how strong she was and on top of that, she is the Champion of Amaterasu Omikami.

"So what about the 2 people who were involved in the Nine-Tailed-Fox subjugation?", someone asked from the meeting room.

Just then, the visualizer displayed two men. One of them was a man who was fairly tall and handsome and the other was a man in a peculiar mask.

"We will not lay a hand on them. Be it for their agenda or an act of goodwill, nonetheless, they did manage to save our lands."

As Kamiyami Haru declared, someone asked, "Do we need to keep an eye on them in that case?"

"Is there any status on where are they?"

"None whatsoever. It's as if they both vanished in thin air."

[Lee Jeong-Hun's POV]

After the encounter with the Nine-Tailed-Fox, it did not go as planned. I thought I was prepared to face her alone but it seems I was still too weak. After I departed from Japan, I headed back to Korea and lay low. There was only so much I could do with the limited amount of Dungeons available and I needed to grow stronger quickly. 

The fact that I was saved by the person I previously spared, was humiliating. Furthermore, there was no mention of an awakener that is wearing a mask through the multiple regressions I had. So a unique variant appeared.

But it won't matter. What I need now is strength and I can only achieve it by training and farming.

Pairing myself with only a C-rank dagger, I arrived at a dead end that was located in Ansan Station. From my inventory, I grabbed a key that was previously rewarded by the system.
