Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Origin Story of Deus

A year ago. 

"Today's the day I finally become an hero" Deus repeated those words with vigor causing the crowd of students around him to gawk at him. However it didn't matter to Deus, as he couldn't contained his excitement. 

As Deus stood before Arcos Academy one of the great 7 hero academia in the world. He could help, but think back to beginning of his journey. 

He was at an young age when he first awakened his ability. One day Deus was eating out in local restaurant when an broadcast aired on the television. He watched everyone quiver in fear and despair watching the scenes unfold as the heroes of their world were annihilated one by one. 

The scenery seemed like something out of an high budget blockbuster movie.

Scarlet flames raged upon the land follow by the continued destruction of buildings and the screams that resounded through the air, as the streets were colored by the blood of the fallen. 

In the distant stood mountains of corpse. Edged in the bright colored suits and blood that were left of the former heroes. However the battle was far from over, as the camera zoom in on an man. His body was edged towards the ground, blood covered upon his clothes. Everyone knew exactly who it was immediately, as the reporter repeated the audience thoughts. 

“It’s the legendary hero Odin”

Deus was never truly an fan of superheroes growing up. He often thought something amongst the lines of Why go out of your way to protect others? Why not use your powers for personal benefit ? 

His young mind just couldn’t grasp the idea of heroes until that day. As the world in his eyes seemed so colorless and the people were just shades of gray. However he could see the heroes shined so brightly-almost if they glow. 

So what made them different? After all they were just like us,regular humans the only fact that separated us was their abilities. 

However that was all but not for now, as Odin struggle to get up from his state. It all seemed helpless and colorless in his eyes once again. Deus concluded that the battle was over and turned his attention back to yummy burger and fries combo. 

But before Deus could continued his meal he was caught off guard with the loud cheering of fellow customer. As he turned back to see the television screen, he could see the reason behind their shift. 

Odin was finally standing. As he made his way towards the cloaked figure. Deus eyes were set on the television screen, focused on every step Odin took. An gold aura began to engulf Odin body, as it ignited like an raging flame. 

Deus clenched his fist with anticipation. Awaiting what happened next 

There the two figures stood across each each other. On the right was one of the deadliest and terrifying supervillain of all time. An deranged psychopath and serial killer who was known to the world as Zodiac. He wore a bleak-green blood soaken cloak, and an mask that covered his face symbolizing the stars with it’s bright red patterns. His long messy black hair could reach upon his back, as his star shaped red colored eyes seemed to glow. 

On the left was the legendary hero Odin an pioneer of superheroes and said to be the God of Heroes. He wore an tight spandex hero suits just like the others, as it was contrasted with the bright colors of yellow and blue. He wore no mask, as you could make out his bronze complexion of his skin with his noticeable curly, but somewhat spiky white hair and an completely beared face. 

As the camera zoom in, the two began to clash.

The battle was intense, neither side giving an inch. Every blow seemed to be so painful,but they keep at it for what seemed to be hours. 

Soon it began to escalate, as the two began to move faster. The camera could barley focus on them and the audience couldn’t keep up, but Deus eyes were glued to the screen. 

It could see everything.

Zodiac brought forth his daggers and began to strike Odin. Odin was weaving through his attacks and counters with his super strength. As he delivered an counter punch that sent Zodiac flying into an building.

Odin then took flight, as he scanned for Zodiac in the area. However as Odin turned his eyes he was meet with an powerful wave of aura that resembled an chain, as Zodiac slammed Odin across the ground. 

Odin grabbed the chain launching Zodiac into the air, as he flew into the sky and launched an kick that sent him back to the ground. 

Over the course of the fight, Zodiac was gaining the advantage as Odin was embracing blow after blow. 

Soon Odin fell to the ground, as his body was edged to the ground once more.

"It looks like he was knocked out” a voice called out 

The adults began to panic, However, Deus wasn’t scared. The only thing he could think about: Is this really how it ends? 

But of course, the battle wasn’t over. After all in what story does the hero lose. 

Odin rose from the ground once more, as he rushed toward Zodiac. In response, Zodiac unleashed a small array of orbs. Zodiac attacked fiercely however Odin wouldn’t give up, taking blow after blow as he delivered a powerful uppercut that knocked Zodiac out. 

The battle was finally over. 

Odin rose his hand up to the sky to declare victory, yells of joy and screams could be heard across the restaurant. 

At that moment Deus decided he would become a hero, but that the just origin of his story 

After that day he began to study diligent and was accepted into Arcos Academy. During the evaluation test his rank was classified as S and he was considering the best in his class and world as only 6 exist.  

Today was the awaited day for all inspiring heroes Recruitment Day.
