"Scum like you an hero, don't make me laugh Deus" a boy shouted down the hallway.
Ignoring the boy insult he continued walking down the school corridor. Comments like his were an daily occurrence for Deus since his time here. Normally he chuck it up to jealous and try to ignore him, however...
Deus stooped in his tracks and turned to face the boy. Standing across the hallway was an boy around his age or it would be better to describe him as an men. He had the presence of an punk, but overall had an average looks with his distinct trait being his distinct red hair and enormous height at 6'5 foot.
In most cases he would be intimidating for his large frame, but to Deus he look like an small fry. Deus was planning on ignoring him as he usually did, but for some reason his pride wouldn't allow it.
"I'm scum? pfft That's rich coming from someone like you, but guess it's what weaklings like you do. Always bringing down others or blaming the world for their trouble because you weren't strong enough."
"What you say. Are you calling..."
"After all you're nothing but garbage." Deus remarked giving him the middle finger
"You need to be taken off that high horse Deus"
Dashing towards Deus, the boy clenched his fist, as slowly an green aura began to surround it. With no hint of hesitation the boy strung at Deus.
The punch had enough force to shatter an planet, but luckily it didn't reach Deus. As with his quick reflex's he managed to avoid the blow in the nick of time.
The boy was persistent as he continued to launch strike after strike to no avail, as Deus was just too quick and flexible.
"Look at you now, running away like an coward" the boy punched the wall, as Deus evade to the air and landing behind him.
"Who said I'm running away" Deus place his hand on his hand on the boy shoulder. As the man felt an slight shock throughout his body he quickly strung back at Deus forcing him to retreat.
With no end at sight to this struggle Deus finally decided to fight back.
Taking the opportunity of another failed strike. Deus counterattacked by ducking below his punch and punching him in his rear causing the man to cough up blood. As he was sent flying into the wall.
Deus approached him infusing lighting into his right hand. The boy looked to be unconscious, but as Deus went to check his pulse he felt an strange aura consume the boy.
Instinctively he jumped back, but it was too late. The boy unleashed red light from his hand causing an small explosion as he yelled "Laser Beam!"
As the explosion occured covering the corridor in smoke. Students began to form crowds interested in the commotion.
"What's going on" one of the students nearby said.
"Are they really fighting on Recruitment Day"
"That's dumb they are just tanking they're chances"
As the smoke slowly cleared, Deus curly black hair came into view. Deus slowly emerged from the smoke with no scratches on him leaving the boy dumbfounded
"How did you do that? it clearly hit you" the boy replied, sweat-drenched from his face. Deus could tell from his body language he was exhausted, if the fight continued he be victorious.

"It was no problem, after all, you're pretty weak," Deus replied with a smug grin.
"WHY YOU," the boy yelled, as he lunged at Deus, but his movements were too predictable, and his eyes caught wind of the boy's attack. Dodging the move flawlessly, the boy falls to the ground. Deus placed his foot on the boy's back and began to stomp multiple times. The boy could only gravel in pain not being able to counter, as he clenched his fist.
"What was that about me being weak again? Look who's lying face down on the ground now" Deus said, as he continued his assault. The students of Arcos began to converse, as they watched the events unfold.
"Of course it's him, The Worst Class Hero"
"He probably started the fight, it's a shame he's so powerful, but doesn't even know how to behave himself and is so egotistical "
"No wonder nobody would recruit him "
"Yeah he's no hero"
Their words aggravated Deus, he hated that nickname. Worst Class Hero, the nickname didn't logically make sense at all. According to the Grid System, the government ranking system of Espers. He was considered the highest at the classification of level S. Yet his classmates subjected him to being the worst even though he became one of strongest Esper.
It didn't make sense at all. It was true that he didn't have the best control over his abilities but despite that, he was one of the strongest in terms of combat.
Not to mention he wasn't the one who started the fight, so he had every right to defend himself. Yet his classmate was treating him as if he were a villain. Deus couldn't stand it and that fact was what infuriated him even more,
Deus!" a voice yelled amongst the crowd. Deus turned to see The Director approaching him, as he could only stare anxiously. As she placed her hand on his shoulders giving him a terrifying stare that sent shivers down his spine.
"Let's talk now Deus"
