Just like in previous times. Deus stood in the principal office, sitting across from him was Director Eda Newman, she was what many described to be a beautiful woman. As her sharp, and distinct purple eyes stared down upon him and flicked her short black hair behind her. She began to smoke her cigarette, in that moment Deus knew she was not one to be messed with. Unlike times before, this time her expression was serious.
"Do you have anything you like to say for yourself, Mr.Nox?" The Director remarked, as she darted him a cold stare, that sent chills down his spine. Deus didn't respond and just bowed his head in embarrassment.
"Sorry!" He manages to reply. Deus knew in this situation, the best thing he could do was give a heartfelt apology and hope for the best as even if he did try to defend himself, careless words such as It wasn't me or I didn't do it were worthless. This situation was utterly hopeless and he knew it.
"So no smart talk today" The Director expelled a smoke-filled sigh, as she looked for sympathy from Deus. None was found
"You had so much potential Deus, as a hero. You had everything from the looks, power, and even the catchphrase. Yet you couldn't get past your ego of yours huh, declared yourself as the greatest without doing anything to prove it. Now, look at you know, Pathetic"
Pulling out an envelope from her desk, she scans the sheets and placed them towards Deus.
"A combined total of 15 accounts of vigilantism, 45 accounts of assault on another student or teacher, and 161 reports of disruptive behavior during instruction. With a record like this people think you're a delinquent or future convict, not a Class S Esper and future hero.
Deus rolled his eyes, as he made an agitated face. He had already expected something of this magnitude, but this was out of his expectation. The reports were true, as Deus was known as Arcos's Worst Class Hero. An Esper with amazing power and potential, however, due to his toxic behavior and awful personality he would often cause trouble. Everyone knew about him and all said the same thing he isn't a hero. He could remember those words completely as they were repeated every day since he awaken his power at the age of 8.
"Arcos Academy is one of the seven great hero academies across the globe, a school that spans over centuries of great superheroes such as the God of Heroes Odin. Here, young hybrids spend day to day diligently polishing their skills as students. But scum brings forth dirt to this institute's foundation."
Deus couldn't take it any longer. It was just the fact that she was dissing him, but the truth of the circumstance. She acted like Arcos Academy was some safe heaven when the truth was the latter. This academy was an ass hat. Not only were students discriminated against based on their classification, but they allowed a hierarchy to take place. The Kings and The Pawns as they called it. Even some of the teachers joined in on this hierarchy With all these realizations he couldn't hold in his anger anymore.
"You think you have any room to talk when weaker espers are being treated as slaves by the so-called Elites of this school. Aren't heroes supposed to protect others and not abused their power huh huh? What happened to that logic?" Deus shouted in a thunderous voice, so much that it could be heard through the building, as Deus took a deep breath.
"Is this about that what happened to that Arthur kid?" The Director replied as she darted a terrifying glance at him before. "After all you never cared about the Pawns before, After being the King of Arcos Academy"
"Don't you dare, call me that again" Deus replied in a thunderous voice, as he slammed his hand at the desk, replying to her glance with eyes filled with blue, as blood lust oozed out of him."
"Relax Eda, Don't you think you're going too hard on the boy for a simple fist fight," a woman said, coming into the room as she placed a cup of coffee on the desk beside the desk and turned to Deus giving him a glamorous smile. Her presence removed the tension that once aired across the room.
Deus couldn't help, but take notice of her. She was indeed beautiful, but that wasn't all. As he recognized her, Her name was Scarlet Blaze, the assistant director. The former partner was back when the director was a sidekick not to mention...
"Now why are you harassing my pupil, Director," she said, in a serious tone as she darted a terrifying glare at her. It was no coincidence she showed up at this moment, as she was Deus's mentor and adoptive mother.
"Scarlet, the boy will never learn if you don't discipline him. After all, it's your fault he's acting this way, you spoil him too much"
"Are you saying I'm a terrible mother"
"Maybe you are," The Director remarked, as she pointed towards Deus with a smug smile. "After all you raise trash like him"
"Damn!" Deus thought as the two began to clash back and forth hurling insults and curse words after another. Deus could only watch in amazement, as he watched the two. In this hostile environment, he decided it would be the perfect time to escape. As Deus made his way towards the door he could hear the director's mumble voice, as he turned to see the two as they passionately kissed.
The only thought that crossed his mind was Umm.
The Director pushed Scarlet away, as she began to make her way towards Deus. Before she could Scarlet was placed in a headlock, she began to give the director a noogie. She reaches her hand out to Deus, as either a sign of help or a desperate attempt to restrain hi

"Now apologize, to poor Deus or else," Scarlet said, as she increased the intensity behind her noogie. With no other option, the Director gave into the request, as she dropped the act. "I'm Sorry Deus, just wanted intimidate you," she said, as placed her hand on his shoulder. "I thought it be better acting serious for once since it hurt more if I was myself"
"What do you mean Eda, What going on" Scarlet replied, as she looked curiously at the director. The Director, gave a sympathy-filled look as she look into Deus's eye
"Deus, you are expelled" The moment those words were uttered out of her mouth. the fantasy he believed in as a child was over. No Academy or agency would accept him, not to mention the rumors he would lucky in fact lucky to find employment.
"What do you mean he was expelled?"
"I'm sorry it's out of my hand, it's coming straight from the board"
You're no Hero Those words repeated continuously in his head, almost as if they were mocking him. As he stared across the room, he noticed something different.
Blood, as the room was drenched in red. He looked around for the Director and Scarlet, but no one was there.
"You are no hero"
Deus was frozen. Standing behind, was a masked figure as he placed his banged hand on Deus's shoulder. "Look there they're all died, everyone, you care for dies." Across the floor were corpses, Deus could make out a few on them. Scarlet, Director, but one truly caught his attention. It was a familiar face, as Deus approach the bloodied corpse he couldn't help, but scream.
"Oh, you recognized them, the one true friend who believed in you, the one you betrayed after you rose in power, the one you let die before you"
Deus couldn't breathe, he felt as if were suffocating, as he stared at the corpse. "Arthur" he managed to mutter under his breath.
As if to respond the corpse began moving, as it rose from the floor and made its way toward him. "A boy with blond hair and green eyes, and wearing a yellow and purple striped sweater. It was Arthur" Deus thought, as he let out a mountain field of tears.
"Save me," the corpse said, as it placed its hand on Deus's face
At that moment he realized he was dreaming.
Deus was awoken by the smell of bacon. He didn't know whether it was hungry or his natural senses, but he followed the smell to the living room. Where he was greeted to the scene of a half-dressed Scarlet, as he caught a glimpse of her chest.
"Put some clothes on," Deus remarked in a thunderous voice, his face bright red in embarrassment as Scarlet turned to see Deus. "Oh, Good Morning" Scarlet replied, as she greeted him. Taking notice of his tomato of a face, she placed her head on Deus's head.
"Don't tell me you got a fever "Scarlet remarked, as she gave him a look of sympathy. Deus couldn't help, but take notice of her soft and warm hands as they rubbed against his head.
"No, I'm fine," Deus replied, removing her hand from his forehead.
"No, I'm fine," Deus replied, removing her hand from his forehead.
That's good to hear, c'mon let's have breakfast" Scarlet suggested, as they made their way to the kitchen table. Deus could hear the sounds of hunger rumbling throughout the stomach. It was embarrassing to him, but he nudged it off and began to dig into the food as if he were a wild beast.
After finishing the meal, Deus bowed his head to Scarlet uttering the words "Thank You" repeatedly.
"Hey Deus, I need a favor," Scarlet said, as Deus raised his head and faced Scarlet.
"How would you like to be a hero"
