The Mirror of Dawn

For as long as he was old enough to remember, the world was, to Shu Cailing, this beautiful, idyllic peach blossom island. But when his shifu leaves to step once more onto the red dust, he and his shige, Hongshi, can't help but go after him.

To eyes that had seen the unbearably long bamboo scroll of history, what is the shape of forgetting? As Shu Cailing finds himself snared by strings that had entangled souls for centuries upon centuries, he finally understands the answer:

But how long can the present live in the past? As resentment and love entwined long ago becomes a force that cracks the foundation of a dynasty, Hongshi can only raise his sword and cut loose the calcifying, brittle strings of fate.
