The fight between the two camps was raging with an obvious advantage for the side of Serea.

according to the laws of Olympus if a god were to kill another he would be executed in return for his crime, that is why even if some of them were already injured and others were already dead they still hesitated to retaliate with the same level of violence.

"Have these bitches lost their minds?"

"Why do they act like, this is incomprehensible…"

"Maybe they have completely given up on living"

"Why go so far?"

"…"

Everyone present was wondering what was the reason for the incomprehensible behavior of the warriors of Serea, what they didn't know was that their fate was sealed if they failed to accomplish their mission, so they got into this battle without holding anything back, hoping that Hera keeps her word as she had always done until now, and at the same time they hope for the clemency of the one for whom they had betrayed their mistresses.

After half an hour of battle, the situation worsens for Hermes' side but

The pride that all the gods possessed due to their statues, prevented them from fleeing while the human apostles who were most affected by this fight were still fighting, but they were also too disorganized due to the fact that they had never fought together and that their leader was held back by the opposing side leader Serea.

Some of the most qualified ones had tried to take the role of temporary leader but they had quickly given up in the face of the lack of cooperation of the majority of the other gods, who refused to follow the orders of anyone other than Hermes the one who had rallied them.

And finally most had already made up their mind that if the situation became really desperate they had the option of just abandoning all restraints and attacking without mercy even if it meant killing the apostles present instead of trying to rescue them or avoid them at all cost.

After all the life of his unborn child will undoubtedly be more important for Zeus than the lives of simple apostles.

“Bang, bang…” with her great experience and responsiveness, Serea blocked Hermes' attacks that were coming from all sides.

She tried at the start of the fight to prevent Hermes from gaining momentum to run, first by displaying her shadow on the ground, second by trying to injure him on at least one leg, and thirdly by mentally destabilizing him but all that had failed.

Serea couldn't help but smile when she remembered how he'd used the gods and goddesses fighting on her shadow and in the sky as support, literally using them as stepping stones, and knocking out several of them at the same time, and now that he was at full speed she finds herself on the defense.

'I expected nothing less from one of the fastest gods alive' thought Serea

"Swish" Turning around at full speed Serea delivered a powerful thrust to Hermes which was coming straight to empaled on the tip of the spear, but just by hitting the ground with his right leg, he made a side step fast enough to avoid the attack.

He then jumped and delivered a strong kick that Serea barely stopped with her shield propelling her a few meters back while he used the shield-like support to push himself away, to avoid being stuck on her shield like before he opted for fast attack and retreat, basically a hit and run tactic who was his specialty.

“Tap, tap…” Now that he had enough speed he was able to run on Serea’s shadow without being slowed down.

Running around Serea, Hermes was so fast that a storm began to appear around Serea isolating her in it.

Hiding in that storm Hermes resumes his attacks, he was still unable to inflict any real injuries to Serea until now, but he was able to put her in a tight spot, and seeing her huffing and puffing like that he knew that she will not be able to keep up with him much longer

“Didn’t you say that I didn’t have any chances of winning, where did all that confidence go?” said Hermes taunting her.
“Easy there Hermes don’t make such ugly expression with such handsome face, that does not suit you, and I maintain what I said, you have no chances of winning” She replied with a smile that just anger Hermes

“Anyway, are you sure that you do not wanna know for sure if Zeus really sold you to me in exchange for my cooperation?” she asked

“Ha" laughing a little he said "you really think that I am gonna fall for that you are obviously trying to destabilize me, you have succeeded once, but it won't happen again,” he then attacked her with more vigor

“I know why you allied yourself with us, it's because he promised to elevate your status right, you may very well be just another of his conquest and nothing more.”

“indeed I agree to join your side because he promised me a higher status... he saw the greed in me that my queen Hera wasn't able to see, but what we agreed on, the price of my betrayal was you, Hermes!”

It was obvious that what she said touched him because he slow the speed at which he was attacking her and she took it as a sign that he wanted to listen more of her tale, he even asked a question “why should I believe you?”

“Because it’s the truth you know your father and you know that he is able to do that right, I tend to be dominant and like younger and handsome gods and you are attracted to dominant older goddesses right?” she asked Hermes who didn't deny it or said a word making her chuckle

“You are very close to your father which provides you a lot of influence, you are quite inexperience with the opposite gender which makes you easily manipulable and you are very dedicated to your work and is completely disinterested in ruling a faction or to be worshiped by human, while it's the opposite forme, you see you are the perfect candidate for people like me.” She said to him

At this point, Hermes had completely stopped attacking her letting breathe as he was thinking about what she was saying “All that sound good but why would he agree, plus if Hera was to learn that you and I were in some sort of relationship she would probably try to kill you, after seeing her kill so many of my father mistress and child in the past I can tell that she hates me and my mother, she will not let one of her direct subordinates live he join the enemy side”

“If you think that then you underestimating the queen, sure she is very hot-tempered but, she wouldn't have killed me, because she would have finally access to something that she wanted for a long time… an informant in the circle so closed up that her husband builds over the years, particularly if I had as much influence on you that I planned to, of course, she would have probably figured out that I betrayed her at some point to be able to get so close to you and that even her husband approve me and act accordingly but in the end, she would have probably even help me build my faction in the shadow.” She explained everything calmly to Hermes who stayed silent

“And your father probably had something similar in mind after an informant isn’t really a threat if you know that he is one right and he also acquired another powerful faction on his side or at least neutral in some matter.”

“Bang” after she was done talking someone crashed in front of Serea, she was able to identify her as one of her subordinate

“Tap” appearing standing on the lifeless body of the goddess he asked “So you both planned to manipulate me?!” it was obvious just by looking at his face how angry Hermes was which itself was pretty unusual

A flash of guilt appears on her face of Serea as she looked at him “I am sorry, Hermes, I really like you, and you are one of the only good ones, but this is also one of the reasons why you were our target.

“Huh” now that Hermes had stopped running around her the storm that surrounded her began to disappear she then saw that all the apostles that he bring had disappeared, and only her subordinates and the gods that he brought were still fighting and that a certain balance had been reach
Looking at him she said “you created this storm to obstruct my vision and using this opportunity to beat some of my subordinates and put the apostles in a safe place, huh, that's impressive"

'You are really a good god Hermes, that's why you are going to lose!' thought Serea in her mind
