Petition to revise the ranking:

"As we all know, even among supers, there are ranks given to them by the government or the hero association, depending on whose hunting dogs find the poor soul first.

These ranks can range from class 1 to class 7 and are used to classify the danger a superpower represents to the government if used against them.

While that is their official name on administrative papers, I've noticed that most of my soldiers still call them based on the old S to F rank system used during the Development era.

I understand the need for a numerical system, it's better for data analyses, and it's also better for the unlearned folk who come every year from the monster-ridden lands on the frontier where they don't use our alphabet, among other things.

But as you good folks in the government should know by now, given that this is my third petition, I DON'T CARE!

My soldiers aren't looking at a villain while thinking, "Is that villain rank 1? or 2? What danger does it pose to the government?", instead they're screaming, "RUN AN S RANK HAS GONE LOOSE!" while chaotically shaking their arms.

Meaningless to say, that makes the damage control and report a challenge that some heroes would say is harder than the fight itself!

From what point does an "S rank" stop being a class 2 and start being class 1? On paper, it's easy to distinguish the two, but if all the information we have about the villain is the recordings of the soldiers screaming that the villain is an S rank?HA! Good luck with that!

Not to mention that classes, unlike the rankings, have nothing to do with strength. What does it matter if the guy (or gal, not judging) is class 1 or 2 if his only power is to make infinite money?

I understand that would be a bureaucratic nightmare, but from this small soldier's perspective?

All it takes is an overblown clown in the government to, like usual, not share the information of the villain because of "Confidentiality" to make us wastefully move our best "S RANK" hero's team, only to later on receive news that we wasted precious personnel fighting against a Paper! Cut! Machine! (breath in while writing)

I understand I'm being hypocritical, given that my younger self voted in favor of this bill's passing.

But, even if bearing the shame of a hypocrite, I want you all to know that I have aged, and with it came the experience of being in the fields fighting against man and monster alike, something that most of my predecessors lacked, and I too lacked back in my youth.

So for the love of whoever is the god you pray to, listen to me, someone with not only the academic accomplishment but also the military experience to make a better judgment than you, AND CHANGE THOSE DAMNED RANKS!"
