1280 A.M. (After Merge)

'Crack,' 'Crack,' 'Crack'

The sound of glass shattering echoes softly through the depths of a cave deep in the Great Forest of Gaia.

A figure in the room of this sound's origin begins to stir and approach the sphere of light, beginning to break apart. Inside sits two boys asleep from the beginning of their journey.

Watching as the two boys begin to awaken into this time, the figure beings to split the laurel wreath wrapped around their neck in two and begins to speak quietly.

"Child, you have fulfilled your role successfully; rest easy now and watch on as the two lives you saved at the cost of yours forge their path in this world."

'Shatter'

The sphere of light had finally broken to pieces. The figure begins walking through the chamber, now littered with fading shards of light, observing as the boys' eyes open for the first time in over 1000 years.

Now kneeling in front of them and placing the laurel just split around their necks speaks, "The world has progressed in most interesting ways in the time you have rested. Perhaps watching as you progress from this point forward will be even more so."

'Rumble'

"It seems the beasts in the forest above have noticed your presence and are beginning to stir. I wonder how you will leave here alive." The figure says in a contemplative tone as if it's begun to think of a possible solution.

'Rustle'

The ground behind Gaia begins to open as a new presence composed of the surrounding vegetation rises.

"I do believe that's enough, Gaia."

Turning around to face them and rebuttals coldly,  "Tellus... To what do I owe the pleasure?"

"I came here to prevent you from meddling in these affairs any longer. You know as well as I that we are not to interfere with the mortals or even the gods. Any further movement from you may spur Chaos to take action; their involvement would surely cause that rift in the sky to break open and fully end us." Tellus replied.

"I am aware of this; I have taken every precaution to only act when is necessary."

"I do not believe that to be true. Concerning yourself with the requests of that woman and the fate of these children from this point forward is past the realm of necessity and entering that of blatant disregard for the established order." Tellus says, leaning back on the ground below.

Slightly annoyed at this jab, Gaia turns to face the now lounging figure.

"Have you not grown tired of our present circumstances? The constant bickering, fights, plotting, and factions between the gods, even though those very same actions resulted in this? Their hubris and incompetence have already caused untold amounts of destruction and madness, and now it threatens to end everything."

Meeting Gaia's gaze, Tellus replies, "The memory of me making such implications escapes me. I do not disagree with that which you have said or the actions you have taken. I merely came to warn you that further interference may be catastrophic." "I will also add that this- these children are not supposed to be here; the fact remains that they are now present due to direct meddling from not only you but others as well. Their presence will surely not be hidden forever, and any beings,  involvement, including yours, may come to light."

"I have my doubts that there are many gods that hold the intelligence to make such deductions. However, what do you propose to be done then? Surely you have noticed even the beasts above have begun to stir from their presence together. They cannot stay here or stay together. Any resolution I have thought of requires my direct movement above ground." Gaia replied.

Looking at Gaia with what could only be assumed to be a smirk Tellus says, "Fret not, fellow goddess of the Earth; I have a plan."
