On the busy Ilifelen streets, Luna looks at Alum as he ponders over her question. Some people are glancing at them as they pass, and it was probably due to it being unusual for them to see a person like Alum.

Luna, who was in her disguise, didn’t stick out as much, and if she hadn’t had a disguise, people would walk up to her or look her way as they do to Alum.

Hmm…. What I want to do, huh?”

Alum then looks around before making a decision.

“Since we’re here, what are the good foods I might have dismissed?” he asks.

“Then… how about that stall over there? They sell meat buns.”

“Sounds good,” Alum says.

After saying that, he gets up and starts to walk toward the stall. Alum pauses for a moment and glances back at Lunn.

“You’re not coming?” he asks with his head slightly tilted.

“....I am?”

“Then why are you so far behind me?”

“....Should I not?” Luna asks with a confused look on her face.

“You’re my guide, right? You either walk in front of me or by my side.”

(....This guy has some questionable word choices….) Luna thought.

She walks to him as he waits, and as she arrives, standing beside him, he continues to walk. She glances at him and thinks to herself.

(What a strange guy…. Usually, people would be reserved and formal with me. On the other hand, he doesn’t seem to care and treats me like any other person he comes across.)

Alum notices that Luna is repeatedly glancing at him, and their eyes meet.

“...Is there anything on my face?”

“No,” Luna replies.

“Then, why do you keep glancing at me?

“.....Are all the people from your world like this?”

“Like what?”

“...No, never mind,” she says as she looks at the stall they are heading to.

Luna then asks him another question.

“What would you like to do after?”

Not saying anything as he walks, Alum ponders that himself.

“Then… how do you people have fun?”

“.....”

Hearing this, Luna couldn’t say a word; honestly, she didn’t even know herself.

(...How do we have fun? As in an activity we do to entertain and or enjoy ourselves with?)

“Can you clarify…?” Luna asks.

Alum looks at her with slight surprise.

“You… don’t know?” he smugly says.

“.....”

“How about we just walk around town and try finding something fun?”

“...Such as?”

Hmm, feed the birds?”

“Is that fun…?”

“...Not sure.”

Luna narrows her eyes and looks straight at him.

“You don’t know either….”

And as they have a meaningless conversation, they arrive at the stall.

She looks at the stall owner and asks for the usual. And while Alum was looking around, the owner spoke to Luna in a low voice.

‘Missy, you brought your boyfriend with you this time?’ she asks with a grin.

‘....He’s not my lover,’ Luna says as she snuck a glance at Alum.

‘Is that so? He’s handsome and has this innocent look, but you know, guys like that are popular nowadays, and you should snag him before any other girl does.’

“...You make it sound so violent,’ Luna says.

‘Don’t be like that! Love is war!’ the stall owner says enthusiastically.

‘.....Can I just have my standard meat buns?’ Luna asks.

‘Sure thing, oh! I’ll add 2 extra for this special occasion.’ the owner says as she winks.

‘Aunty….’

‘You’re one of my regulars, after all!’

Luna glances over at Alum as he reads the descriptions of the items that are for sale.

(Do we look like lovers….?) Luna asks herself.

And as she was looking at him, he briefly glanced at her, and their eyes met.

“Are you done?” Alum asks.

“I am,” Luna replies.

“I see, then, owner. Can I have these?” Alum says as he hovers his fingers over 3 of the special meat buns.

The meat buns he ordered had something in common, and that was that they were all sweet.

And after they ordered, they walked around and looked for more.

Luna would occasionally glance at him.

“...Do you like sweet food?” Luna asks.

“Hm? You want one?” Alum asks.

“...No, that’s not it…..” Luna sighs as she turns and looks the other way.

“You sure?” Alum asks.

He then takes out a meat bun from the bag, and as Luna turns her head to see what he is up to, she feels a soft and warm sensation on her lips.

(...!!)

“Here, I saw that you ordered the regular ones and haven't eaten any. From the looks of it, you’ll save them for later. So why don't we eat these together?”

Luna then took a bite.

(....It’s sweet.)

“How is it?”

“....It's good.”

Luna has a slightly soft smile as her cheeks color themselves rosy pink.

Alum faintly smiles too.

“You finally made another expression,” he says.

“....You’re the one to talk,” Luna calmly says as Alum hands her the bun.

He then takes out another one and splits them in half.

“Here,” he says as he watches Luna stuff herself with the previous meat bun.

“.....”

“Or do you want me to feed you again?”

“...No, thank you,” she replies as she takes the other half.

And as they walk around and try different things, Luna suddenly realizes something.

(....Is this a date?)

She sees people around them doing the same things.

However, Luna’s and Alum's status wasn’t that of lovers, and they weren’t even friends….

She glances at him, and he seems no different. She didn’t know if he; either didn’t care or if he was dense.

“....Say, how come you decided to ask me to be your guide? I don’t see you as a person who would do it on a whim,” Luna asks as she munches some sweets they got earlier.

“Why do you ask?”

“...I doubt you’d care if I tailed you or whatnot.”

“...Well, I guess.”

“Then, why?”

Alum looks straight into her eyes as he removes the crumbs from her cheek.

While Luna was a little astonished that he did so without much thought, she realized that he really did ask her on a whim.

“You could say that it was on a whim, and to be honest, my only friend is such a worrier.”

Alum, then look at the distant sky.

“I don’t really have friends, and he told me to get to know more people before we split up, and… you know, while I did ask you to guide me on a whim, I also felt that we’re rather similar.”

Luna widens her eyes in surprise.

“You… want to get to know me…?” Luna confusedly asks.

She stares at him, and her mind is almost completely blank.

(Does he have ulterior motives? Somehow… I can’t picture that… he’s rather blunt and doesn’t seem to want anything from me. Not only that, he doesn't even look at me with those prurient eyes that some men usually give me….)

And to be fair, Luna doesn’t have friends at all.

“I guess so?” he says nonchalantly as he begins to walk again.

“...Alum,” Luna calls his name in a clear and gentle voice.

“...Huh?”

“...If we’re going to be friends, isn’t it better to call each other by name rather than ‘you,’” Luna says a little awkwardly.

“....You’re right about that….”

Alum then glances around to see if there are any potential listeners.

“Princess Luna….”

Luna then giggles a little.

“No need to add princess. Also, Luna is a rather typical name… you know? So there is no need to be that cautious.”

“...Wouldn’t that be rude to you as royalty?” Alum asks, tilting his head.

“You say the strangest things, even if I were to get offended. You calling my name without any honorifics wouldn’t be my first complaint.”

“...What would that be then?”

“Of course, you forcefully feeding me.”

“....Oh, sorry…” Alum says apologetically.

“I don’t mind,” Luna says.

She then softly smiles at him.

“We’re now friends, right?”

And seeing her smile made him lower his guard, and he’d reciprocate her gentle smile with his own.

“I’ll be in your care then.”

After that, they arrived at a park located around the center of Ilifel.

“The park here is more populated in the evening,” Luna says as she sips her drink.

“Why is that?”

“The animals living in this park are quite shy, and they mostly come out during that time. Most people come here to watch them then.”

“Animals?” Alum asks as he tosses a macaron in his mouth.

“Yes.”

“Can you pat them?”

“...Typically, no,” Luna says as she looks a little down.

“You tried?”

“I did, but they don’t let people touch them in general.”

“That so?”

Alum then looks to the side, and on his shoulder, there is a cute fluffy squirrel-looking animal.

“Is there anything you shouldn't feed them?”

“Well, they’re magical creatures, and I doubt anything we feed them would upset their stomach,” she says as she sighs.

“I see,” Alum replies while feeding the fluff ball a macaron.

Alum then pokes its cheek and rubs under its chin. And it seems to enjoy as Alum then pets it on the head and scratches behind its ear.

“You’re rather cute…” he says softly.

Hearing this, Luna was taken aback as she was surprised.

“....Complimenting me won’t get you anythin—”

And as she was about to finish her sentence, she sees that a squirrel on his shoulder and some other small animals following him.

“W… what?”

“Luna, What’s wrong?” Alum asks.

And upon noticing that Luna is staring at the fluff ball on his shoulder, he asks if she wants to pet it too.

“Want to pet it too?” Alum teasingly asks.

“....Yes,” Luna replies as she sulks.

Alum glances at the cute thing as if he is asking it to cheer Luna up. And with it slightly tilting its head, it jumps onto her shoulder and rubs its head against her cheek.

Her mood then brightens up very fast.

Hehehe, Alum, look! It's not running away from me~.” she cutely says.

And looking at her, he couldn’t help but let out a chuckle.

Ahaha… I think you’re plenty cute, too, now that I think about it.”

Hearing him say this, her ears redden as she looks away, with her cheeks slightly puffed.

“...You won’t get anything by calling me cute,” Luna meekly says.

“Oh? Sorry, that wasn’t my intent, you know? It sort of slipped out,” Alum says as he tilts his head.

“.....”

Which, of course, confuses Luna even more.

Luna then mutters something under her breath.

‘ You fool...’
