Chapter 8: Volume 1*Chapter 7*

It took two days for all the materials to be unloaded from five trucks. The truckers and unloaders were freely able to camp outside for those two days.

On the third day Utan and Mr. Rui, because he got tired of everyone calling him by his last name, came to the others with four roughly drawn blueprints.

They gathered near E.C.S to take a look at them.

 

"Despite them just being drafts, these are great!" Lillian says excitedly.

"Let's go with this look, what do you think boss?" Lillian holds one up for E.C.S to see.

 

E.C.S: [I will go with whatever my subordinates choose.]

 

Lillian smiles, "hehe, so what do the others think?"

They all leaned closer to the blueprint she chose.

"Looks pretty good. Everything we asked for is on this blueprint. And the setup looks great, I also want to go with this one." Kyoto agrees with a nod. 

"I'll start building the computers," Utan points out.

"And I'll start making the machinery." Mr. Rui adds.

Both were awakeners so building things on their own won't be a problem.

"We need to call temporary construction workers to get started on the rest," Pen says.

"Aren't we out of money?" Lillian asked.

"Oh, don't worry I, of course, paid a top-notch construction company, the best landscaping company, and even paid a year's worth of food supply all up front days ago," Kyoto says grinning.

"Chief, you're like a genius!" Lillian says in awe.

"It was Pen's idea. When I was getting my savings he told me to make sure I got these three things ahead of time."

Lillian turned to Pen, "I guess you're an intelligent agent for a reason." She says.

"So how much was the savings that you could afford only the best? Didn't you say it was only a little?" She asked.

'Um. Let me see if I calculate I had over 100 billion baht." He admitted.

Both stared at him.

"One Hundred, billion? That's a little?" Pen asked."

Lillian shakes her head, "that's like 28 billion in US dollars." 

"When will they arrive? And how long do we have their services for?" Lillian asked.

"Once those two finish, the rough draft of the chosen blueprint, you can call the construction people then. As for the Landscaping company, go ahead and call them, they should arrive within the hour. We only have the landscaping company for the day, since they can finish the job quickly as awakeners." Kyoto answered.

"And the construction company."

"Whenever we need them, they will come. We should use them until we get a construction crew of our own," He says.

"What are we getting done today, "everyone here needs a workplace and we need a place to sleep, so I drew a plan." Pen pulls out a paper and spreads the plan on the table.

"Your drawings are still as unique as ever," Lillian teases.

 

 

E.C.S

 

I watched as things were starting to take off. My new subordinates have been working hard.

I'm very proud to say that I will finally start my revenge once the basics are completed.

For Now, I need to see how they do things.

The Others

 

"So we will build other buildings that will have a connection to the boss? That's a good idea, and I say we build two buildings for lodging, one here and one here. We should also knock down a wall or two for the base, this will give more space to expand," Lillian points around.

"Mm. There should be another building over here about fifty kilometers away for the laboratory, this way it can be mostly a secret underground lab." Kyoto points east.

"We won't create a path there, it's best that it's more hidden. And over here we'll put a place to eat and entertainment." Lillian points north.

"Oh, let's not forget the actual Alliance Building, I think that should go here." Pen taps south.

"Yeah, and it should get a lot of space since it will hold a lot of things for training and a huge track area behind it with a field for events," Kyoto says with a nod.

"I say that should do for the basic needs unless we're missing something?" Lillian asked.

"Yeah, when the construction people get here we'll help them with the image of each building," Pen says.

They all high-fived and proceeded to call the construction crew. As for the landscaping crew, it seems they have arrived.

The construction crew will at least take two hours to come so they proceeded to help the landscaping crew.

"Howdy!' A woman climbs out of her truck and walks over to where they were standing.

"Oh, are you Miss Kit?" Lillian asked.

"That's Me, my real name is Malee Amarin, but call me Kit, I'm the Chief Director of the Landscaping company, Raising Weed. I have to say I am amazed by all this. It looks like me and my men have our work cut out for us today." She says looking around.

"That's right, did you bring with you the landscaping blueprints I asked for?" Kyoto asked.

Miss Kit beams and holds up her bag, "that's right, they're in here. When you gave me those pictures it helped a lot with stunning visuals."

"All these people have seen this place. Are we going to be alright?" Lillian whispers.

Kyoto leans over, "no worries, those contracts everyone signed, once their jobs have finished and they leave, all memories of our Alliance location and anything even being here will be wiped. Pen asked the boss about it a while ago." He whispers back.

Lillian sighs in relief.

"Let's go over those blueprints then." She says excitedly.

"This one." Pen points to a draft, I like the road, you should make some changes to follow this plan."

Miss Kit looked at the plan, "oh, I see that makes total sense. Hold on," She uses mana and begins to draw. The quickness of the pencil was amazing.

"How's that, it fits with your plan, right?" She asked.

"That should do it, and just in time to help with the tree cutting the construction workers are here," Pen says watching lines of different construction vehicles pull up.

That didn't mean they didn't have anything to do. They helped with simple landscaping, like using tools to pull up weeds and sweep away rocks and sticks.

While trees were being cut down and stumps were being uprooted, landscapers were doing zone marking that showed where paths and driveways will start and end.

Pen and Kyoto stood side by side, "never imagined myself standing here with an old friend from the past watching such a beautiful scene." Pen states.

Loud construction vehicles and landscaping tools can be heard in the background.

"Yeah, same. So you don't regret coming here with me?" He asked.

"Not at all," Pen says while patting his shoulder. 

"Let's go before Lillian starts yelling at us." Kyoto and Pen joined Lillian to continue helping.
