She stood up and looked at herself. Making sure to inspect everything about herself. How the elven king was able to transfer his soul over to her was a conundrum. She then looked over to Emner and me then shook.

“The elves won’t be happy that their king is dead,” she said.

“that was kind of obvious,” I said, “so what do we do now?”

“Well, I’m sure that these elves will listen to reason if we tell them the whole story. The elves at the gate seemed to be sane enough to talk to,” said Emner.

Just as we all seemed to agree that we would talk to the elves as that was the best option seeing that we did not want to fight said elves an explosion rocked the ground. As son as we heard that we ran outside to the front door.

We couldn’t see anything but the tree line and the walls. Though we could smell smoke in the air.

Now that we were out in the open I could see Olivia in all her glory. She looked to be about in her early teens, maybe 12? Which would mean that she is likely younger than me. The outfit she had on was modest of course. The getup looked to be a mix of maid and noble lady’s dress.

“What do you think is happing?” asked Olivia.

Just then the spirits and fairies that had been around us when we entered the courtyard and left when we entered the courtyard gathered around us. They started running around us and yipping in joy. They began to sing, and I could feel the bloodlust rising.

“Oh, the blood of them and the blood of us fills the soil!”

“Oh, the screams of the people drives us mad!”

Oh, the blood of them and the blood of us coats the sky!”

          “Paint the trees!”

          “Paint the pines!”

          “Paint their homes!”

“Oh, the blood of them and the blood of us fills the soil!”

They kept singing and singing and singing… God I wanna take some lives.

The elven guards ran up to us and asked what happened to the king. Instead of answering them I pointed to the direction of the sound and smoke as I could now hear, and smell were it me from. The guards then saw where I was pointing and asked again.

“he’s dead, he tried to attack me and took over the body of Olivia but failed,” Emner said.

The two of them looked shocked and stared at us then ran into the castle. They were giggling and frolicking like children as they ran into the place.  The whole thing left me thinking as though he didn’t let anyone into his life other than Olivia.

I then ran to the manor. As the roads to the manor were dirt and not paved it was hard at times to tell where they were. The dirt roads seemed to have been paved at one point but so much time had passed that they had been ground flat and dirt covered it in time.

When we all got to the manor Olivia suddenly started acting shy and hid behind me. I was caught off guard by this when my sister and father ran over to us.
