Chapter 41: Flaming Boy And The Twins

A few minutes after the dungeon entrance had been opened,

Vylan checked his equipments and armor. When he confirmed that it was perfect, he checked Alfith and Alfen.

"Are both of you ready?" he asked while blushing since both of them looked gorgeous.

Alfith nodded seriously, "Yes."

Alfen scanned Vylan up and down and said while nodding approvingly, "You look so charming, my dear Vylan. We would have to swat away girls like flies. Surely, you have me in your heart, right?"

Vylan blushed and said, " Y-Yes. I have both of you in my heart."

Alfith blushed a little and said in a mosquito-like voice," I-I also have you in my heart. "

Alfen cheekily smiled and asked," What did you say? Care to repeat it? "

"Ouch!"

Alfith panicked and smacked her head with her spear. 

"Stop playing around. We need to hurry," she said while quickly walking away hiding the furious blush on her face.

They enter the dungeon and got creeped out by the eerie atmosphere of the dungeon. 

They took out a small artifact and attached it to their breastplate. The artifact started glowing when infused with their mana. 

They enter room 01 hoping to encounter some monsters but they saw that there was no monster in the room. 

Alfith asked, "Why are there no monsters? Is this a trap?" 

She clenched her spear in case of a trap but after 30 minutes of searching, they didn't find any monster. 

Alfen sighed and said, "There are no monsters here. Let's just go to another room."

Since there were so many doors, they carefully chose the next room and entered room 02.

They couldn't find any monsters again. 

Vylan said, "This feels like a trap." 

Alfith and Alfen nodded and they didn't waste any time and entered one of the doors. 

They entered room 03 and once again, they were disappointed. 

Vylan frowned and said, "It feels like the dungeon is playing tricks with us." 

Alfen nodded and said, "This must be where most of the students make a mistake and lower their guard." 

"Yeah, then even weaker monsters would be hard to kill," Alfith said. 

They noticed four different doors in each direction. 

Vylan said, "If we go into room 04 and there are no monsters then I think we would be wasting our time."

Alfen said, "I agree. Emma and her group must have already entered room 20."

Upon hearing Emma's name, Alfith clenched her fists and said, "We need to hurry. If we take a rest, then we would be left behind." 

Vylan and Alfith agreed and the three of them decided to enter room 56.

When they entered room 56, they saw a group of giant monsters roaming around. 

"Finally!" Vylan murmured as his sword started burning with flames all around it. 

The monsters appeared as giant humanoids with a face similar to that goblins while having very muscular bodies and large heads. They stood between 9 to 10 feet tall. 

They used uprooted trees and stone-tipped javelins while using a thin piece of cloth to cover their lower halves. 

"They are ogres. We have to be careful." Alfith said. 

Vylan's hair transformed into flames while his eyes were also spitting flames. 

He ran towards the ogres and slashed his sword into the chest of one of the ogres. Then, he ran towards another one and did the same. 

Then, he ran back to the twins while 10 ogres followed him swinging their weapons. 

As soon as the ogres came close to the twins, one of the ogres had his neck pierced by a spear. 

Alfith pierced the spear in the ogre's neck. Then, she took it out and rotated it around, and cut open another one's chest. She then used Wind Bullet to pierce the skull of the two ogres behind her. 

Alfen used her axes as she jumped on top of one ogre and used it like a support to jump off and land on another one as she hacked their heads off. 

She then threw one of the her axes forward which cut open three of the ogres' faces and used her wind magic to guide the axe back to her.

Vylan slashed his sword down as he cut open the ogre in front of him. He then turned around to escape from the sneak attack of the ogre behind him and used his momentum to cut its head off. 

They continued fighting until all of the ogres were killed. 

After that, a platform upon which several gold coins and some potions were placed rose from the floor beneath them. 

They collected the rewards and collected the beast cores from the monsters and continued to another room. 

Meanwhile, 

In room 24,

*SLASH*

*BOOM*

*SPLURT*

"Use the sword to cut him down. Hurry!" 

"Y-Yes." 

Abel watched on as his subordinates fought with the monsters. He kept on a calm face as he saw some of his subordinates being injured by the monsters. 

He then took out the map and scanned it seriously as he waited to get to room 29 to set up the traps before Darell and the rest arrive.
