Well, she had to look at my "dad" for confirmation at first, but in the end, he let us go.
It was one thing for him to postpone the wedding for a little bit, but to push back a wedding that would last a month, well, that would just be a major sign of disrespect to his guests.
At this moment, he wasn't being a father anymore, he was now the Head of House Endendyk.
And that was the version of "dad" that I had looked up to at one point.
Smiling as I saw this, knowing that my "move" had worked and that I had gained one up on my "dad", I finally left the room, not before taking one last look at my step-sister though.
Grinning even wider after seeing that she was, for some reason, completely changed, with tears in her eyes as she shook in an erratic way, I knew that my revelation had shocked her to the core.
So, looking at my "dad", transmitting what I wanted to do through my body language, he just nodded, and so, Char finally took us away.
But, when I blinked and reopened my eyes, we weren't back in the inner room of the venue, but we were in my room, which, through the power of Char being the head maid, now had a bed and a desk with a chair in it.
It was still pretty plain, but it was better than nothing.
"The Master has decided that you two will stay here until the final week of the banquet, as to not cause anymore trouble."
Hearing this, I just nodded, as it sounded a lot like my "dad".
But, on the other hand, my step-sister was shaking uncontrollably from just being in my presence.
You see, now that she knew I was a demon, she was probably scared shitless.
That was the actual punishment that my dad wanted to give out.
After all, the person that started this whole fiasco was Fourth Sister, and thus, the punishment.
The only thing I resented was the fact that I was being used as a tool for this punishment, but the benefits greatly outweighed the harms.
I mean, now, I didn't even have to attend that boring banquet every single day, and this wasn't detrimental to my plans at all.
As, their was only one rule to this punishment.
And that was, "You aren't allowed to leave the room."
Who would have thought that this was, in reality, a hundred times harder than I ever would have imagined it?
...
One Hour Later:
After Char had left, Fourth Sister had just huddled up in the corner where the bed and the wall met, wrapping the blanket around her whilst wrapping her arms around her knees, only having her head peeking out from under the blanket, as she stared at me warily, her gaze unmoving.
Honestly, it was pretty uncomfortable, but, what could I do?
So, ignoring her, I instead focused on my mental connection.
After all, it hadn't activated yet, meaning that my sister had yet to arrive.
But, herein was the problem, which was the fact that only those that attended the first day of celebrations would be able to stay here and continue to go to the banquet for every day until the final day at the end of the month, when the couple would be officially married to each other.
And, there was only half a day left until the first day of celebrations ended.
If she didn't arrive, then all my plans would be ruined.
So, I decided to "help" her get here faster.
"Gwen."
"Yes, Young Master?"
Appearing right beside me like usual, she startled Fourth Sister, but she paid no attention nor heed to her.
"Help my sister arrive on time. It would be such a pain if she didn't." I said whilst clutching my head, as if in deep sorrow, just to mess with Fourth Sister a little bit.
I mean she was going to be the only one that I could talk to, other than Char, Gwen, and my sister, if she made it, for two and a half weeks straight, so I wanted to break the ice a little bit.
And, my plan worked, as she immediately spoke up after Gwen left.
"W-we have another sister?"
'Huh? How sheltered were they for them to not know about Eve?'
"Yes, Evangeline Endendyk, my twin, your older sister, and the hero of this generation."
"Huh? The hero?!"
"Yes, the hero..."
I then went on to tell her a few stories about Evangeline that I knew from the book.
Yet, who would have guessed that she would be completely enthralled by these stories, listening to them for such a long time that my throat started hurting from telling them to her?
The only reason I was even able to stop before I completely lost my voice was because she fell asleep after a long while, but even in her sleep, she continued to mumble about the adventures of Eve.
As for me, seeing her sleeping so peacefully on my bed, I could only sigh, as I turned my attention to the floor.
I mean, even though she was my sister, the only person I would truly sleep with at this point in time was Eve, as I actually knew her.
Like, right now, I didn't even know Fourth Sister's name, and that was kind of concerning actually...
//Hmm? What's this about sleeping with me?
//Sister?!
//The one and only! How have you been, Lyly?
Hearing this, I could only smile, as this was definitely my sister.
I mean, hearing her call me a name that I hadn't heard in such a long time, I could only feel a warmth budding up in my chest.
She was still as teasing but as loving as ever.
And, she had actually arrived on time, which was a miracle in it of itself.
Albeit, she had only arrived a second before festivities ended.
//I've been good, how 'bout you?
//Good good, I've been good too!

After she replied, we fell into radio silence, as we just felt the other's feelings for a little while through the mental connection.
It was then that I knew what I had to do, as I made up my mind and reformed my plans.
All the puzzle pieces that had already been perfectly fitted into place, I switched them out with others, as I had been reminded of something, something that I had forgotten to cherish to it's fullest extent.
After all, I had never felt more loved in my entire life than the amount of love I felt in that one moment.
If I truly wanted to preserve everything, then this was the only path that I could take.
And this was the only path that ended in complete and utter victory for me, I was sure of it.
Yet, one existential question continued to burn in the back of my mind.
The question hung there, above the pictured puzzle that I had painted in my mind, hanging on an ever burning string, as it threatened to light up my entire mind, on the precipice of falling, as the boulder-like letters imperiled the fragile puzzle pieces below.
'Was it destiny? Was it fate? Was it the machinations of a god that controlled how I would end up in this world? Or, was it my own choices, my own actions, my own thoughts that were casual relationships that would always lead to one ending?'
After all, the villain always dies in the end.
It was something that we had all learned back when we were young.
But, that wasn't the name of the novel that I was in, was it?
You see, I had forgotten to tell you that the true name of the book that I had read, the book that I had been transmigrated into, and the book that you were reading about right now.
It was the story of an office lady in Korea who had died from overworking and had transmigrated into the body of the hero.
It was the story of a young man, a prince in black light, who would eventually fall in love with the transmigrator.
Now, it was my story, the story of the villain who would do anything to feel loved.
But, in the end, none of this mattered.
Because, although it was the story of Evangeline, Caldrian, and Lysander, there was never a set story in the first place.
After all, this story never existed.
In the infinity of this world, everything was lost to the nothingness.
Sure, this story might have been thought up once or even a million times before.
But, after a hundred years, the story would be lost.
This cycle would repeat over and over again.
Until one day, an infinite amount of time later, a little boy thought up this story for the infinite time.
Yet, this little boy did nothing with it and just let it sit there in his memories, letting the story soak there for another moment of infinity.
Because the story would never be thought of again.
Even after an infinite amount of time, no living being thought of it again.
So, the boy, thinking that it was sad that the story would never be thought of again, created a world using the story as its base.
And, everywhere else, in an infinite amount of space, an infinite amount of boys created an infinite amount of worlds.
Yet, over an infinite amount of time, the worlds would always shatter under the causality of Law.
That was the true fate of this world, and the truth of the world that we all lived in.
After all, the name of this world was not, "The Villain Always Dies in the End."
The true name of everything: Earth, Humans, Life, Stories, Words... all of it, nothing was exempted from this rule, from this title, from this name.
After all...
