Chapter 6: The ancestors recovery

Back in the village at the souma's residence, an old man can be found cultivating in a room burried deep underground and what stood above the room was surprisingly the ancestral hall. 

The old man was wearing a white robe with wide tall sleeves, he had a short white hair matched with a face full of scars that showed the experiences and obstacles he had lived, coupled with brown deep eyes that they were emitting wisdom due to his long lived life. 

The old man slowly and steadily opened his eyes, the moment he started standing up the mana in the room began gathering arround him forming a small tornado trying to devour him, but he simply gave a light smile of satisfaction.

 

He is a warrior that doesn't have any problems with mana, so he is always enhancing his body's muscles and skin with mana since tier 1. 

Because warriors themselves can control mana the same as mages but instead of storing it into their dantian like mages and circulating it while trying to condense the thickness of their mana inside their dantian, they instead absorb the mana from the surroundings but with the intention of circulating and puring it into every part of their body. 

And the increase in their tier means the increase in how much mana they absorb from the surroundings and the speed of circulation inside of their body's, which in return will make the enhancement of their bodies faster or stronger. And that's why warriors from tier 4 and above doesn't loose to mages in terms of fighting capability, heck some are even stronger. 

And in terms of Cultivation, mages build their dantian starting from tier 2, but warriors can start enhancing their bodies starting from tier 1, and that's cause their bodies will be strong enough to absorb the mana into their organs, skins etc. Or else if they try to enhance their bodies at tier 0, they will burst out from the intensity of the pressure. 

The old man said while failing to contain the anger in his voice. 

I finally healed my injuries after 12 years. Demitri family, you will be paying for my families destruction in Arceyna just wait till I breakthrough to tier 3 and your whole family will cease to exist from this world. 

Exactly after he finished, he felt a warm liquid going up his throat. Noticing this he directly suppressed it. fck, I almost spat out a mouthful of blood cause of remembering  those days. I should first calm myself down and check how the family is doing. 

After saying that, he directly vanished and appeared in the ancestral hall, putting his hands behind his back he walked slowly but steadily to the main hall of the house. 

At the same time the old man opened his eyes, at the heart of the souma's small pavilion, stood a man in a big chair facing a young man in front of him in an almost defeated manner, this scene was situated in a luxurious hall almost if not the same as big as the size of Bardo's main hall, it was decorated with all kinds of paintings and old antiques which some of them looked like they are even treasures. 

Looking at the young man sitting in the chair right below him, Jesse the head of the souma's family couldn't help but start to get impatient, "Are you telling me that you wanna marry my daughter without even her reaching tier 1 and without any gifts whatsoever?. Did I hear that right Bell son of Tom? And does your father knows about your decision?". 

 Upon hearing Jesse's question and impatient Voice, Bell simply extended his hand to the cup of tea in front of him and after taking a sip of it he slowly put it back and looked to the man sitting on the main chair, answering with a calm expression " You heard it right indeed, it's usless to wait any longer than this, we might as well get married now instead of waiting your daughter to reach tier 1 and don't forget that the biggest gift you received is my family choosing to marry your daughter despite your situation, so you should think it over after calming yourself down and Don't take so long since I hate waiting, I'll give you few minutes. Ah and by the way, my father is the one who told me to say this so yeah he knows it. 

Upon hearing the young man's answer and his face of his that wore a calm expression like he is saying the obvious, Jesse almost attacked him but he quickly calmed himself down. Since if he acted rashly then his family will really cease to exist this time. 

The whole family is counting on Jessica reaching tier 1 and then getting married . But if she gets married before she breakthrough then she won't be strong enough to talk to her husband and stand up for her family after getting married, at that time we will simply be subordinated to the Bardo family and the marriage between the two families will look like a joke, and that's why marrying before tier 1 for the family is basically like inviting a wolf inside of their house with a welcoming gesture. And that's why Bell wants to push the date earlier since he knows that it won't be long for her breakthrough, or better say it's mainly his father Tom who's behind all of this but he simply letting his son do the talking so he get experience in life.

After all, the Bardo family can't simply attack us and take everything  we have, and that's because first : the Bardo family is not sure how much we lost of our fighting strength when we got kicked out of Arceyna town , it's true that they we run away with little money, but the Bardo family wasn't sure if our tier 2 warrior which was is our ancestor ( Jack) died back then after what happened. 

After all when Jesse lost all the money, the Demitry family took over their business in the town and chased them out of there, without forgetting to send their tier 2 mage and ten tier 1 to deal a blow to their family in a try to kill their tier 2 warrior,  luckily for them Jack managed to survive despite his heavy injuries but they still lost 10 tier 1's which was a devastating blow to them, and with an injured tier 2, they chose to run to this remote village and hide here. 

The second reason and the most important one, is cause the Bardo family is righteous and need a good reason if they wanna destruct a whole family, or else the village head will side with the souma's family to deal with Bardo.

 

"Woow, youngsters those days are really daring and full of themselves or is it cause of your family behind you well in any case , there won't be any marriage, go tell your father that he should come and apologize before the end of the day or I won't mind paying him a visit " an aged voice sounded from the entrance of the hall. While the owner of the voice was still slowly heading to the main chair without bothering to even take a glance at the kid who obviously came with ill intentions. 

Upon hearing the aged voice and seeing who had entered, Jesse instantly stepped out of his chair and bowed to the old man while saying with deep guilt showing in his voice and eyes, " Ancestor, congratulations on your recovery, this boy here is the young master of the Bardo family, and the marriage is already set and I don't think the Bardo family will cancel it , please reconsider your decision". 

 Jack, After hearing what Jesse was mumbling about, couldn't help but give him him a look of disdain.

 The family has actually reached this stage for the head of the family to dare and question his ancestor. And the reason is cause he is afraid from a mere tier 1 family in a remote village. 

Jack didn't bother to answer Jesse, and at the next moment he instantly vanished from his spot appearing in front of Bell and directly stabbing his left hand into the boys chest like his bones were made of tofu. 

Bell was gonna add something to Jesse's comment, but before he could  even open his mouth to say anything, he looked in disbelief at his chest which had a big hole in it and a hand that penetrated him all the way till it got out from his back, he raised his head in difficulty to see who dared to kill him but only to find that it was the old man that just spoke, and he was already retracting his hands from his chest and turning around heading to the direction of the main sit like nothing happened. 

With a loud sound, Bells body hit the ground totally dead with his face still maintaining his shocked expression and not even understanding why would the old man attacked him after just telling him to go and tell his father. 

" Okay, let's forget about your father, I'll be visiting him soon enough but don't worry I'll make sure to send him to your side so you don't feel alone" Jack gave a casual comment while taking position to sit in the main chair. 

Jack looked at Jesse with a questioning tone and said in boredom " What did you say again, because I failed to hear you". 

Jesse who was still shocked at the scene that just played in front of him instantly kneeled to the ground, his head touching the floor like it's attempting to break it. " I'm sorry old ancestor, please punish me for being usless and destroying the family with my hands" Jack kept kowtowing and with each kowtow , his head will make a loud sound indicating the force he put in it. 

Upon seeing this, Jack couldn't help but have an amused expression on his face so he casually said " I like that position of yours , it's usless to blame the weak. You even did good to stall for the marriage till I cameback and kept the family working, it wasn't your fault. Go ahead and call a family meeting, and everyone have to attend it especially young children. Meanwhile I'll be going to visit this boys family, just don't forget to take the garbage out ". 

After saying that, he directly vanished from his spot appearing at the entrance of the hall, slowly walking to the houses gate.
