“Purrfect puurformance,” Karkahl purred, praising Reli and I as we stood in her throne room, the morning after our mission. “Forgive my pun, I’m just so pleased with my two new girls.” She gracefully approached, swaying her hips while extending her arms to us in praise. “I was right to trust you, my darlings, you’re just as formidable as I had suspected.”
“Those Malefic sure threw us for a loop,” Reli said, “I didn't expect something quite like that I have to admit.”
”Mmmm yes, one can never be too certain of when the Malice will manifest now can we,” Karakahl draped her arms around Reli’s shoulders and kissed her cheek, “but you, my little love, did amazingly.”
Reli’s freckled cheeks turned extra rosy, “Well I wouldn’t say that,”
“Oh, but I would,” she interjected, then turned towards me. running her fingers through my hair, while looking deep into my eyes, “And I can’t forget about you of course,” she leaned in and kissed my face, “you too, are amazing, just as I would have expected of the great ‘Bullet Witch’.” my body tingled, my face growing warm as she continued to play with my hair.
“Just doing the job, can’t let a hiccup get in the way right?”
“Oh you two are just so modest, what happened to that cocky little scamp that walked in here only a couple days ago?” She stepped around us, and leaned over as she spoke, her hands on her hips. “Don’t let anyone tell you anything less. You are amazing, both a witch among witches, and I would be honored to have you as my own.”
“So we’re in?” Reli asked, her face still glowing red.
“Of course, if that is indeed what you wish, then you shall be a part of my family, you earned it.”
“I still don’t get it, what’s so important about that old train caboose?” I asked, impertinently.
“Do not worry yourself with that my lovely little angel, just know you have done good and I am grateful,” she dodged the question. “Please, Shana, Reli, dears, go and get yourselves cleaned up. This is now your home as much as it is mine, do make yourselves comfortable, all services we offer are yours to take advantage of.” She dismissed us with a warm wide eyed smile. Before I had left she called, “Oh and Shana, do not think I have forgotten about your special reward,” she smiled a devious, yet sincere smile.
“Hot damn Miki, we’re in a coven now,” Reli shouted as we walked down the halls of the ‘Manor’.
“You seem really excited, honestly I don’t get what’s so special.”
“Of course I am, are you not Miz Shana? Or do you not know what a coven is?” She asked.
I shook my head, “To be honest I haven’t had much experience with other Witches, it’s just easier to keep away you know?”
“Well I mean, a coven is almost like a gang, or a family. It’s when a Witch Bride takes on lower ranking witches and helps them grow in power, while providing them a safe haven from the church. I’m technically a Witch Bride too, but I’m not nearly as powerful as Lady Karakahl,” She explained.
“I know what a coven is, just don’t see the use of them. And isn’t that outlawed by the church?”
“Well yeah, technically, but as long as they stay small enough, then the church doesn’t seem to care,” she answered, her finger pressed to her lips, “though the opposite can be true too. If a coven becomes too powerful, it might be best for them to ignore it, so long as they don’t start trying to make war with the church.”
“Yeah, I can’t imagine the church wants us building up armies against them,” I smirked, “though it would be nice if someone knocked those holy assholes down a peg.”
“I don’t think that’s what Lady Karakahl’s plans are. I think she’s more interested in helping the poor in the outer circles, probably why the church turns a blind eye to her actions.”
“Yeah, I remember her saying something like that,” I tapped my finger against my chin trying to remember her words, “something about stealing from the rich and giving to the poor”
“Yeah, that’s what my father told me, said that’s why they call her the ‘Archangel’, at least that’s one reason,” Reli said, “the truth is, she’s got a special familiar, one of the Witch Queen’s own in fact.”
“Is that really true? Sounds kinda fake to me.”
“It really is true though, but that’s not all,” Reli smiled a sly grin, “Michael also belonged to the Witch Queen.”
“Okay, you have got to be lying,” I objected, “there’s no way a kid like you has such a powerful familiar!”
“Oh, but she does,” a strong benevolent voice spoke, as an elegant tall woman appeared, wrapping her almost plantlike arms around Reli, “I am indeed that very Michael who once served the Witch Queen.” Her familiar had to lean down as she held Reli tenderly. Her body, though the shape of a woman, looked as though it were made of wood, like a tree from the forests of the sixth circle. She was nude, except a bloom of flowers that grew from crawling vines, that covered her body sparingly.
“Well then how the hells did a kid like her end up with a behemoth like you?” I asked, just a little stunned by her unique beauty.
“I do not know, I have no memory of my time with the Witch Queen, or how my carta ended up in my Reli’s possession. I only know of the bond I feel in my heart to my former lover,” Michael answered, her voice forlorn.
“If you can’t actually remember being with the Witch Queen, then how do we know it’s true?”
“You just have to trust her,” Reli answered, “I’ve been with her for five years, and I’ve seen the power she possesses, I’ve felt it. So if she says she was once with the Witch Queen, then I believe her.”
“Fine, whatever you say,” I shrugged, it wasn’t worth arguing over if there wasn’t any proof either way.
“Oh and I’m not a kid!” Reli snapped, a bit late, “I’m twenty-four!”
“Damn kid you’re older than me?” I blurted out.
“You should respect your elders my love,” Gabby snickered as she appeared beside me, “or should I tell her your real age?”
“Shut up, I’m a youngin!” I reached out to smack Gabby, but she evaded my strike with relative ease.
“Actually I was wondering just how old you are, Miz Shana?”
“Come on kiddo, didn’t anyone ever tell you not to ask a lady her age?”
“But didn’t you ask me first?” Reli asked, tilting her head.
“No love, you blurted it out, remember?” her familiar chuckled.
“Oh that’s right, sorry Miz Shana,” she gave me another goofy smile.
“Stop with the Miz! I’m twenty-two!”
“Didn’t you say twenty-three earlier?” Gabby giggled.
“Oh, are you ashamed of your age? You must be older than you look then,” Reli teased, at least I think it was a joke, she did sound pretty earnest.
“She’s actually nearly thirty,” Gabby answered.
“Shut up, you!” I reached for her face, determined to silence her slander.
“Aw, Miz Shana, thirty’s nothing to be ashamed of, you still aren’t as old as my Pah,” Reli tried to cheer me up, “besides, I heard you Mestael age very gracefully.”
“Yes, you could have plenty more years ahead of you so long as you take care of your health,” Michael added in, “It is important to maintain good exercise and eating habits in your advanced age.”
“Both of you, quiet!”
The three laughed as I grumbled and whined, till we neared our respective rooms.
“Looks like I’m down the hall from you, I was planning on taking a bath though, wanna join?” Reli offered.
“Nah, I’m pooped, I think I’m just going to hit the sack for now,” I yawned with a big stretch.
“It is important for the elderly to get their sleep,” Michael said, stifling her laughter.
“Oh haha, jokes getting old,” I furrowed my brows.
“Just like you my love,”
“Imma hurt you Gabby.” They laughed again at my expense.
As the other two went their own way, I saw a young woman leaning against my door. Is this the popular masseuse I’ve been sent? Figures it would be a Goldie. I examined her carefully as I approached. She wore a pretty white dress with a pink ruffled skirt. She wore pink gloves that were attached to white sleeves; they, as well as the dress, were decorated with blue lace. Most importantly, the abdoman of her dress was cut out to expose her belly, which bore no Witch’s brand. The first girl I’d come across there that was neither Witch nor familiar.
“Hey there, sorry girlie but this isn’t your room anymore,” she gave me a small wave and called out as I got closer.
“Huh?”
“You’ve been upgraded, don’t you remember?” She answered.
“Oh right,” So Karakahl really was going to keep her word huh? Nice.
“Follow me, newbie,” She grabbed my wrist and pulled, her velvet glove sliding her hand into mine.
I recoiled, “I can follow just fine, no need to hold my hand.”
“Suit yourself,” she shrugged and began to lead me down the hall. I’d hoped we would walk in silence, but that wasn’t going to happen, “You’re pretty lucky you know?”
“Why? Because you’re just so popular?” I tried to not sound so sarcastic, but I couldn’t help it.
“What? Huh?” She scrunched her nose.
“Aren’t you the girl Lady Karakahl sent for me?”
“What?” she began to laugh, “no hun, that’s not... I don’t take female clients.” She wiped a tear from her eye, “no the woman you’ll be spending tonight with is,” she paused, “nah, I’ll keep that part a secret.”
“Seriously? So if you’re not my masseuse then what are you?” I was thoroughly confused.
“I’m a cabaret girl, I tend to the men up in the Starlet Room, I’m certainly not a prostitute, or a masseuse,” she answered, still chuckling a little. “Like I said, I don’t typically take female clients, although I’d probably make an exception for that cutie you were with.”
“Hey, you better keep your dirty hands off my little buddy!” I yowled.
“No promises, honestly I can’t resist a cute girl with freckles,” she blushed, perverse thoughts probably swarming her brain.
“Didn’t you just say that you only take male clients? And why not me? Don’t you like a Mestael beauty like myself?”
“Clients are one thing, but love is another,” she spoke with a singsong tone. “And besides, you’re too old for me,” she answered wryly, her eyes slighted.
“I’m only twenty-four!”
“That’s not what I heard,” Damn it she heard our conversation?, “Although that familiar of yours is really pretty.”
“Aww did you hear that Shana, she thinks I’m pretty,” Gabby swooned.
Yeah, I heard it alright. I swear if one more person riffs on my age, I’m going ballistic. “So why send you to show me to my room, if you’re not my company for the night?”
“Cause we’ll be neighbors, figured it only makes sense.” Great so I’m stuck next to this brat...
“Okay, I guess that makes sense.”
“And here we are,” she said, stopping in front of a large ornate double door. It was honestly not all that different from the doors of Karakahls throne room, just shorter and not quite as wide. “If you need anything just ask a statue for help,” she said, gesturing to one of the gold people standing nearby.
“Statues?” I stared intently at the nearest one, then jumped back and yelped as they blinked. “They’re people!”
“Sort of, they’re Golems, one of the resident Witch’s made them,” the girl explained, “don’t worry, they aren’t slaves if that’s what you thought.”
I examined one closely, he looked just like a person, though it became obvious he was in fact made of brass, painted gold. Aside from the occasional blink, he stood perfectly still. “Do they think?” I didn’t know how to word it, so I figured that was the best way to ask.
“Not really, They only come to life when given a direction.”
“But this one’s blinking,” I argued pointing at its face.
“Yeah they do that from time to time, though it’s usually only when they are low on power.”
“How, how do you power them?”
“Beats me,” she shrugged, “I let the witches take care of that.”
“Perhaps they use Eros, like most magic?” Gabby suggested.
“Could be,” I agreed, backing away from the uncanny thing.
“Anyways, like I said, whenever you need anything they’ll be here to help. And if you can’t get one of them to help, I’m right next door.”
“Okay, thanks I guess.” I wasn’t really sure I wanted their help, or even hers for that matter.
“Oh, name’s Josie by the way,” she waved and walked to her own room, “enjoy your prize Miss Shana~” She said in a sing-song voice.
I rolled my eyes, and entered my new room. My jaw nearly dropped the moment I opened the doors. Holy shit! This room is huge! I ran inside, and began spinning, taking in the majesty of the special suite. Though similarly decorated to the last room, this one was at least three times the size. It almost rivaled the throne room. Aside from a bed that could probably fit ten people, there was a personal bath, three sofas, a writing desk, and a gigantic armoire. I also noticed a little station with a mirror, and makeup strewn about the desk.
“This can’t be a guest room can it?” I marveled, unsure what to do with myself as I stood there. “I mean, this is really MY room now?”
“That is what she said, was it not?” Gabby said, sitting herself on one of the sofas, “You asked for the most luxurious room after all.” She stretched out her body, her feathers ruffling as she relaxed.
“Yeah, but to be honest I was kinda bluffing, I didn’t really expect her to go all out like this.” I walked around the room some more, trying to process everything around me. As I passed by the desk, I saw a satchel with a small note attached to it, my name written on the paper.
“Shana love, here is the twenty-thousand Ylda I promised you. I do hope you enjoy the room, you’ve earned it. The rest of your prize shall arrive later tonight, simply wait on the bed, and place the blindfold over your eyes when it’s time.
-Love, Kara”
I counted the coins in the satchel, twice, for good measure, twenty-thousand just like she said. Honestly, I could just have taken the money and left, maybe swiped a few trinkets from the room on my way out. But as I thought it over I was only met with the same question, Why? Why leave? Why pass off on making this your home? Why stab someone who’s been so generous in the back? Honestly, I couldn’t think of an answer. Probably because there was no good answer. I wasn’t sure about all that family stuff, but at least I could be safe and comfortable for once. It was about time I retired from train robbing anyways.
So with a cheesy grin across my face, I waltzed over to where Gabby had been laying, and plopped myself atop her, forcing out a groan from her as I crushed her small frame beneath me.
“My love, you know I enjoy intimacy, but please don’t be so rough,” she said with labored breaths.
“Hey we’re all alone again,” I said, nuzzling my face up against hers.
“Yes we are, we have all night with each other.”
“Oh, well not all night, what was it I asked for again?”
Gabby huffed and turned her head away from me, “You asked for the most popular prostitute in the whole brothel.”

“Yeah, that sounds about right, maybe I should bathe after all,” I sniffed my underarm.
“You would not bathe to sleep with me, but you would bathe for a cheap whore?”
“Now that’s not true Gabby,” I argued, “there are no cheap whores in the Angel Kiss Manor.”
“Oh you’re awful sometimes my love,” she attempted to shove me off the sofa.
“It’s just a massage Gabby, don’t be jealous now.”
“I can massage you.”
“Your talons would tear me to shreds!” I lifted myself up, and sat beside her. “You don’t think I don’t love you do you?”
“It’s not that,” she sighed, “you have needs I know, it’s just we hardly spend any quality time together.”
“Hey we spend lots of time together, afterall you’re always with me right?”
“Speaking through my carta,” she said, small tears in her eyes “It’s not the same, I just want to be beside you,” she placed her taloned hand on my leg, “I want to be closer, to touch and feel you. I don’t want to hide away from the world. I love you, but I can’t express it enough.”
I caressed my familiar’s face, “I know, I’m sorry, but that’s just how the world is.” lifting her downtrodden face, I kissed Gabby’s cheek. “Witches and familiars, the church hates us, hell the world hates us. We have to hide, but just because we’re hiding it, doesn’t mean we don’t love each other.”
“I know,” Gabby said, sniffling, “I’m sorry if I sound selfish.”
“No, you don’t,” I sighed, “it is hard, but we’ll press on together, no matter how hard it gets.” I wrapped my arms around her, squeezing my body into hers till it was hard to breath. “Hey, we still got a few hours before the escort shows up, we could spend some intimate time till then.”
“You mean, you’re ready to consummate?” Gabby’s eyes grew bright and hopeful.
I looked away ashamed, “No, not that,” then turned back to my partner and flashed a flirtatious smile, “But we could still have fun.” I pushed her down on the sofa, crawling atop the delicate body. Her breathing tense, as I could feel her heart take flight inside her chest. “I owe you a kiss don’t I?”
“You owe me many kisses,” she smiled, wrapping her winged arms around my head and pulling my face to hers.
Her hot breath tickled my face as it came closer. I hovered there above her, her lips only a hair’s width away. My own heart began pounding, as if it was racing against hers. Oh Goddess, have we really never kissed before? I hadn’t even thought about it. Sure I’ve pecked her cheek, I’ve planted one on her forehead, maybe even kissed her hand, but her lips were new to me. They were a treasure taunting me for so long, yet I always had them there, nothing keeping them from me at all. Her lips shined, perfectly soft, perfectly wet, perfectly waiting to meet my own. Was it seconds, minutes, or hours, did I just sit there waiting to kiss her, leaving her waiting for me? My reservations were chains around my neck, holding me from the lips of my love. Had these chains always been there? No, there are no chains, only my own stupid stubborn parnoia. Do something! I screamed at myself inside my head. All these years, are they really going to culminate in this? Just some stupid useless girl, unable to show affection for the one who loves her? I won’t let that happen, I didn’t let it happen. We kissed, her lips cushioned against my own, her tongue, wet and dexterous working its way into my mouth. I’ve thrown away another lock, how many remain before I can open back up to her? We kissed. Wet, sloppy, long. We kissed. She turned her head, and our tongues danced. We kissed till we were breathless. And then as I pulled away, she pulled me back. We kissed. For the first time since I had made my contract with, no since I began my relationship with Gabby, we kissed.

A few hours later, Gabby returned to her carta. I had changed into a robe, and wrapped the blindfold over my eyes as instructed, “better not screw me, metaphorically speaking,” I grumbled. Waiting on my bed, I sat cross legged, and swayed slightly. Before long, the doors creaked open, and suddenly there was a person crawling up behind me. I twitched nervously as I felt the bed shift under the weight of this newcomer. Arms wrapped around me from behind, one across the waist and another around my belly, a soft body pressed against me. The woman’s warm wet tongue licked my neck slowly from the base to jawline, and then she nibbled my ear. The woman purred as her sharp fangs bit lightly into my earlobe, confirming my suspicion that it was a Ferrael woman. She placed her hands on my shoulders, her nails gently digging into my skin, warm soothing tingles radiating throughout me.
“So do I get to take the blindfold off?” I asked, as the woman began to caress my shoulders. She gave no response, she just continued her massage. My body tingled, the nerves seemed to dance in a flourish everytime the cat-girl touched me. Just a single press from her fingers felt greater than any massage I had ever received. This professional lover’s body sent sensations into mine that made my heart race like a galloping stallion. The woman’s very touch was a drug, it excited and yet also calmed me. My stiff shoulders loosened, fully relaxed as the woman pressed her fingertips into them. My stomach, which had been bruised by the Malefic attack, felt completely healed when the woman lightly ran her nails over my abbs. My back no longer ached from the many nights spent hoveld in abandoned homes, in hay bales, on the desert floor. At that moment, it had felt as though I had been coddled my whole life. A soft moan escaped my lips as the mysterious masseur worked her hands over me, my body quivering under her selacouse touch.
The woman had both healed, and pleased, almost every inch of my body. Then she shifted herself infront of me, and pinned me down on the bed. She placed her hands in between my thighs, and slowly opened my legs. “I think I’ve teased you long enough,” a familiar voice spoke.
“Lady Karakahl!” I sprung up, tearing the blindfold from my face. Just as I thought, the headmistress herself laid in front of me, on her belly, her head only inches from my knees. She had a warm enticing smile on her face, and a hungry look in her eyes.
“Now, now, Shana you weren’t supposed to peek,” She shook her finger like a mother chastising a naughty child.
“What are you doing here?” I scrambled back slightly.
“You asked for the most popular girl in the Angel Kiss Manor, did you not?”
“Yeah, but that still doesn’t explain why you’re here!”
“Dear girl, how do you think I amassed my fortune and established myself?”
“Stealing right?”
“Only from the priests who would come to fill their vices, but no, I whored myself out. All without ever having to lay with a single person,” she answered, a proud smile on her face.
“How does a prostitute not have sex?” Is that not in the job description?
“You mean you didn’t notice?” Karakahl sounded hurt, “was I not satisfying you in a way you’ve never experienced before?”
I blushed, “Well, I mean yeah, it did feel amazing.”
Her face broke into a pleased smile. “That’s my magic at work. I can stimulate the body’s nerves any way I want,” She ran her finger across my foot, causing me to gasp, stifling another moan. “See, I can also cause excruciating pain, though don’t worry I wont demonstrate that on you.”
“So what, you make people climax just by touching them, and they pay you?”
“Precisely,” she flashed a devilish grin, “but that won’t do, not this time.” She wrapped her arms around my legs and gave a good pull. I fell back, and my hips thrusted forward, putting Karakahls face inches away from my most intimate place. “I could provide a greater experience for you, one no other has ever had.” her hot breath warmed me, filling me with conflicting emotions.
“Your fist?” I asked, nearly breathless.
“No, my first was gentle little Judigael, my familiar,” she corrected, “you would be the first Ael though, that I ever made love to.”
“I…” I could barely speak, Karakal’s mouth was so close to her body, and every breath she took filled me with pleasure, “I think, shouldn’t Gabby be my first then?” I managed to say.
“Have you really never?” Karakahl’s voice was deflated. “I see... That will not do.”
“Is my not being a witch bride a problem?” I tried saying it clearly, but she was still pumping her magic into me.
“No, you are talented regardless,” She shook her head, “I should have known, your brand is incomplete.” She ran her finger over my belly, tracing my brand with her nail.
“I’m sorry, but I shouldn’t,” I started to say.
“No, no, you need not apologize, I presumed too much. You see I have taken a liking to you. I wish to become closer with you, though I suppose that now is not the time for that.”
“We could, we could still be close. I just don’t think I’m ready for that.”
“So then, would you like me to continue my massage? Perhaps give you a massage greater than any you ever had?”
I bit my lip, “I…I do!” without a second’s hesitation, Karakahl gripped my knees and pulled me forward, her hands against my legs filling me with pure ecstasy, then the world turned black.
***
I woke up to find Karkahl still there, sleeping, her arms wrapped around me. Was it really so good I passed out? Shit, I can’t remember what happened. I touched between my legs and examined my hand. Soaked, I would forget the best fuck I’ve ever had! I cursed silently, trying not to stir my sleeping partner. Looking around , Gabby was sitting in the corner, her arms crossed and a scowl on her face.
“You’re right pissed,” I said to my familiar, “jealous?”
Gabby pouted, “I would be jealous,” she said, her voice cracking, “if there was anything to be jealous of!” she began laughing wildly.
“Hey shut it, don’t be so loud!” I yelled, realizing my own hypocrisy, “what do you mean anyway?”
“Oh my love, it seems the lady Karakahl was just too much for you to handle,” Gabby wiped a tear from her eye, her voice still shaky from holding back laughter, “the minute she tried giving you your ‘massage’ you fainted, you were out like a drunk!” she erupted into laughter once more.
“Oh hell, this is going in the book of things you never speak of again,” my whole face turned redder than the setting sun. I can’t believe it, I really did pass out.
“Oh darling, I see why you’re so hesitant to sleep with me, it would be embarrassing if you fell unconscious our first time, but I would love you all the same,” she teased.
“Shut up! It’s not like that, it was just a massage” I argued, though Gabby continued to chortle all the same.
“You mustn’t be so hard on her, this always happens with my lady,” a sweet voice spoke, shocking the both of us. We turned to see a sweet, young woman, her body covered in wool like a sheep. She sat daintily beside the slumbering Karakahl, “my precious Kara, for all the power she has she sometimes forgets to control herself.” The lamb-like girl stroked Karakahls head gently.
“So you must be Judigael,” I guessed, examining the tiny beauty that sat with us now.
“That I am, though in this form, Kara here has given me the name Gentle, which I do love,” she said, her deep brown eyes gazing sweetly at her witch.
“That’s cute, Shana, why don’t we have pet names?” Gabby said, wrapping her arms around my neck, “give me a pet name!”
“What do you mean, Gabby suits you just fine, you never shut up,”
“You’re so mean!” she pouted, “then maybe I should start calling you stinky then.”
“Don’t be a child,” I rustled Gabbys ‘hair’, scratching the feathers atop her head, “besides I don’t know your true name, so doesn’t Gabby count?”
“I guess you did technically give me that name,” she said, leaning towards me so she could get a deeper head rub.
“Gabby huh, that does suit you well, old friend,” the other familiar said, “it seems some things never change.”
I looked at her, head cocked, with a puzzled expression, “Old friend? There something you’re not telling me?”
“I am sorry truly, but I can’t remember you,” Gabby apologized to Gentle, “though to be true, I can’t remember anything from before Shana first called on me.”
“Oh? That is normal I suppose,” Gentle said, “actually, it’s more a feeling than a solid memory for me as well.” She smiled at my familiar, “A feeling of shared love, do you feel it too?”
Gabby pursed her lips, then nodded, “Yeah, I think I know what you mean.” She leaned closer to the other familiar, “and I do feel a warmth seeing you, perhaps we really were friends.”
“What about Michael, did you feel something then?” Shana asked.
Gabby nodded, “Yeah, I think so, though I was not in her presence long, but her voice did stir something in me.”
“Perhaps you too belonged to the Witch Queen,” Gentle said with a loving gaze, “how wonderful would that be, three friends reunited after so long.”
“I don’t know, seems like a stretch to me.” I leaned back against some pillows laid about the bed, trying not to move too much. “There are thousands of carta out there in the world, and only seven contain the Arch-Familiars right? The odds are pretty low for even two to meet.”
“Unless of course, their meeting was not by chance,” Karakahl stretched and yawned as she spoke.
“Good morning my lady,” Gentle took her witch's hand and kissed it.
“Ah shit, sorry to wake you.”
“No, not at all love, I do not sleep for long anyways,” she said, her face wearing a groggy expression. Sitting up, she stroked her familiar’s curly white hair, “good morning my gentle little love.”
“So you were saying fate brought us together?” I asked, not hiding the skepticism in my tone.
“Don’t be silly, there’s no such thing as fate,” Karakahl straddled herself atop me, “I have been seeking out powerful witches, I put word in with those I could trust to send any witch looking for work my way,” she lightly poked my nose, “I set the bait and you took the bite.”
“But you asked for me personally?”
“Oh did I?” Kara brought her face closer, “like I said, you are special, and now you are mine,” she kissed my lips, holding the back of my head in her hand, her other hand caressing my face. I moaned softly as she touched my skin, her magic flowing in me once more. Karakahl pulled back slowly and smiled, “you didn’t pass out this time, good.”
Gabby huffed and wrapped her arms around me, “you could ask first you know!”
“I’m sorry, you must feel left out,” she reached her hand out, and tilted the jealous familiar’s chin, “may I?”
Gabby gulped, “uh yeah, sure,” she said with a quiver.
Kara kissed her, the same as she had me, then sat back down at the foot of the bed. “My magic doesn’t affect familiars the same as Ael, but I hope you still enjoyed it,” she said.
“I’m surprised actually,” Gabby cleared her throat, “I expected you to rely on your magic entirely, but you have real technique.”
Gentle giggled, “My lady has to practice on me often, or else she might be no good.”
The Mistress blushed, her ears lowering, “I’m not helpless without my magic.” She almost sounded like a child, it was surprisingly cute.
“Oh my lady, don’t be ashamed, we are a team after all,”
“Are you saying you wish to join next time, Gentle?” she said, her eyes fierce.
Gentle blushed, “I am afraid that poor Shana couldn’t handle it,” she deflected, “Also my lady, isn’t there something important you need to see to?”
Karakahl tilted her head, another oddly cute look for such a mature woman, “is there?”
Gentle sighed,”what would you do without me my lady? The contact from the church.”
The witch blinked a couple of times, “oh, oh!” She shot up, “forgive me,” she cleared her throat, “I must go, but I shall send for you later. Enjoy yourself in the meantime.”
Gentle waved, and the two excused themselves, though before leaving Karkahl turned back to me and said, “Oh and Shana love, call me Kara from now on.”
“Sure thing, Lady Kara,” I waved her off, and the two left.
I rose from bed and began to get dressed, humming as I did.
“So my love, what shall we do with our free time?” Gabby asked, hovering over me.
“I don’t know, we could see what’s around here, or maybe head into town,” I shrugged, “I think we should have some time before Kara sends for us again.”
“I see you have abandoned formality with the lady?” Gabby said, a teasing slant in her eyes.
“It is easier to say,” Shana argued, “besides, what’s the point of being formal with someone who’s kissed you right?”
