‘Intimidation, huh.’ Vlad murmured to himself.

He must have gotten this skill after using his killing intent to intimidate Adora.

However, although he learned a new skill according to the system, he did not feel that much of a change on him. He only felt that he could now unleash his killing intent easier than before.

Perhaps it was a bit stronger than before? He was not sure, he needed to experiment with the skill first.

But after learning this skill, he confirmed one of his guesses about the system.

‘I can use my actions to generate new skills. I should experiment with this too.’

All in all, this was an unexpected windfall for Vlad.

Every skill he learned meant an increase in his strength. Vlad could already imagine many ways to use the new skill.

And if he could learn more skills, his strength would grow exponentially.

While Vlad was lost in his thoughts, he finished eating breakfast. Adora and Laura finished eating almost at the same time.

Snapping out of his thoughts, he looked at Laura with a gentle smile.

“It was delicious. Thank you.”

“I-I’m glad it was to your liking. A-Anyway, I-m g-going to wash the dishes!” Laura stuttered and scurried away with a red face.

Vlad found that amusing. It seemed like the little girl had a crush on him.

But before he could feel happy about himself, he found Adora glaring at him coldly.

“Don’t try anything funny with Laura. If something happens to her, I will kill you.”

Vlad chuckled and nodded.

“Okay, okay. I know. Don’t worry, I know my limits.”

“I hope so.” Adora harrumphed. “Tell me what is my first mission. What do I need to investigate?”

Vlad’s expression immediately became serious.

“A man. He is tall, with blonde hair and black eyes. He has a tattoo with the name ‘Marie’ is his right forearm, and he is at the Core Formation Realm. Is that information enough?”

Adora frowned. “Do you know his name?”

“No. You need to investigate that.”

Adora thought for a moment before nodding.

“Okay, I will see what I can do.”

“How long will you need to get that information?”

“A couple of days I guess.”

“Good. I will come after tomorrow then. If you bring me valuable enough information, I will give you a generous reward as I promised.”

“I understand.”

The pair then talked about a couple of details more until both parties were satisfied. Finally, when Laura returned to the living room, Vlad stood up to leave.

“Are you leaving already, Mr. Vlad?” Laura asked surprised.

Vlad nodded. “Yeah, but I will visit you again soon. Thank you for the food again, Laura.”

“It’s my pleasure. Be careful.”

Smiling at the youngest of the two sisters, Vlad left.

After leaving, he decided to take care of the next thing on his list.

First, it was to find a place to live. It needed to be a secluded place, but at the same time, a place with good security. That way, he will have fewer troubles and he won’t need to worry about his true identity being discovered.

After walking through the city for the entire morning, he finally found an appropriate place.

It was a small house in a secluded corner of the capital’s downtown that was being sold.

Vlad quickly talked to the owner of the house and came to a deal. The price was a bit expensive for a house in this part of the city, but money was the least important thing for Vlad now, thus, he signed the contract without bargaining that much.

The house was in a good state, so it did not need to be repaired, and the owner was selling the house together with the furniture, so Vlad did not need to go through the trouble to buy new ones. He decided only to change the bed and leave the rest the way it was.

All in all, Vlad thought it was a good deal.

When he was done, it was already night. Now, there was only one last thing that Vlad needed to take care of.

The pendant his father gave him.

With a sigh, Vlad thought about how he had swallowed the pendant and looked at his stomach.

“… Fuck, I hope it comes out easily.”

Vlad sighed again and left for the market to buy a couple of creamy fruits to help with digestion.

Later that day, Vlad used his new toilet for the first time.
