Adora’s eyes became as cold as ice. Gusts of wind started to circle around her, and a knife appeared on her hand.

The two-meter-tall man smirked. His muscles tensed up as his body readied for battle.

But when it seemed that the two of them were about to come to blows, Adora suddenly sighed.

She then took three gold coins from her pouch and throw them to Kevin.

“Take it and leave. I don’t owe anything else to your boss.”

The man was startled, but he soon frowned. “It’s not enough. It’s four gold coins now.”

“You…!”

“You know how business with us is, Adora. You did not pay your debt in time, so the interest increased.”

Adora was so angry that she wanted to use her knife to slit the throat of the man in front of her. She gritted her teeth and took a deep breath before throwing him another gold coin.

“Get lost.”

The tall man smirked.

“It’s a pleasure to do business with you. If you need money again, you know where to find us.”

Adora just slammed the door shut in his face and returned to the table.

“… Sister, are you alright?” Laura asked worriedly.

“Don’t worry. We don’t owe them anything anymore. They don’t have a reason to bother us again.”

“That is good.” Laura sighed in relief before looking at Vlad with an apologetic and embarrassed expression. “Sorry for showing you something like that.”

“Don’t worry. Every family has its circumstances.” He said indifferently and continued eating his breakfast. “But I must say, they did not seem like good guys.”

“Good guys?” Adora sneered. “They are trash that kills, robs, and tortures anyone that rubs them the wrong way. There are no good guys in this part of the city, including you.” She said while glaring at Vlad.

Vlad did not mind her comment and continued eating calmly.

In his mind, however, he was rejoicing.

Because when he looked at the two-meter-tall man, his information appeared in his mind.

[Kevin – Human – Level 26]

And now that Vlad confirmed that he was not a good person, he did not have any more scruples.

‘It looks like I found my first blood seed.’

A thoughtful smile appeared in the corner of Vlad’s mouth.

Tonight was going to be an exciting night.

Meanwhile, Kevin was walking with a heavy expression.

“Are you sure you don’t know how Adora got the money?” he asked the man walking behind him, whose name was Isai.

“I-I don’t know. S-She did not have enough money two days ago. M-Maybe she stole something precious somewhere?”

Kevin scowled.

“That little bitch. I thought this was a good opportunity to put her under our control. Fuck, the boss will be angry.”

“W-Why don’t we just deal with her directly? I can order the brothers to gather if you want.”

“Idiot. A pig has more brains than you.” Kevin stared at him as though he was a fool. “That little bitch is close to breaking through to Core Formation. Even I am not his match. Only the boss has a chance to fight her, but with how slippery she is, he won’t be able to make her stay if she wants to escape.

“In fact, I’m afraid that the boss won’t be able to deal with her once she breaks through to Core Formation. That is the reason why the boss wants to find a way to subjugate or deal with her so urgently.”

Isai gulped a mouthful of saliva. He knew that Adora was dangerous, but he did not expect she was this dangerous.

However, everything has a weakness, and Adora’s weakness was obvious.

“How about sending someone to kidnap the little sister then?” He said with a vicious expression.

Kevin looked at him and smiled.

“It looks like you are not that dumb, huh? A good idea, unfortunately, someone already tried it before.”

“Huh?”

“The little sister bit her tongue to commit suicide, making that bitch go insane and kill all the people involved. Fortunately, the little sister’s attempt was crude and she did not die immediately, so Adora managed to save her in the end, but from then, nobody dares to touch either of the sisters.”

Isai stiffened. What a ruthless pair of sisters!

The elder sister is overprotective, and the little sister won’t hesitate to commit suicide if she becomes a burden.

What a crazy pair.

“Do you understand now?” Kevin sighed. “These two sisters are a tough bone to chew. We managed to get them into debt and planned to use it to coerce Adora to work for us. But it looks like the plan failed.”

“Are we going to leave them alone then?”

“Of course not.” Kevin’s eyes flashed with a ruthless glint. “Adora is dangerous. If she succeeds in advancing to Core Formation, she will jeopardize our rule over this territory. We wanted to control her before that, but she didn’t cooperate.

“Now that it’s clear she won’t work for us, she doesn’t need to live. Heh, no matter how strong she is now, she is just a Core Accumulation practitioner. If we want her dead, she won’t survive.”
