After packing up their belongings Jane and Skyleane walked their way back to the academy. On showing their acceptance letter at the gate they were allowed entry and they walked towards the dormitory.

After following the signs they soon reached a three story mediaeval building. It's height was not surprising as they had already seen many such buildings but the thing different about their dormitory was the area it covered. Even from a distance they couldn't help but wonder just how many female mages lived in this building.

They soon arrived at the front of the building and entered through its large doorway. At the reception an old spectacled lady was reading something and noticing our presence she looked at us before inserting a bookmarker on the page she was at as she closed her book.

"Ladies, your acceptance letters please." The old lady asked.

Hearing her both Jane and Skyleane took out their letters and handed it to her. She paused a bit when she saw the class Jane was assigned to and said "Class A? You must have good potential if you've been assigned to that class so don't waste it on useless stuff and utilise your time properly in the academy." The lady said as she stamped on Jane's acceptance letter and kept it in her drawer before giving her the keys to her room.

Jane nodded to the lady and took the keys which had a spherical keychain. Looking at it purple sphere carefully she realised that inside it was a blue arrow pointing towards a particular direction.

The lady said in a customary tone "That's a guiding sphere, follow the arrow and it will take you to your room. Jane felt puzzled seeing this. Can't they just name the rooms and write the room number on the keychains...why be so excessive?... that's what she was currently thinking.

The lady showed no interest in solving Jane's puzzled look and after scanning Skyleane's acceptance letter did the same thing and passed Skyleane her room key which was the same the only difference was that the arrow was pointing at different direction.

Seeing this both of them for worried about how they were gonna find the other person's room like this and couldn't help but turn to the old lady and ask her.

"You won't be able to unless you learn to use magic properly. The guiding sphere doesn't just guide you to your rooms. Alright, I won't say much more ask your respective roomates. They would be of the same class but a year senior to you two." The old lady said as she again busied herself with her book.

Jane and Skyleane felt a bit nervous in this strange new environment and Jane finally said "Let's arrange our rooms first and discuss with our seniors.

"Alright. Let's do that." Skyleane said and with that both of them separated.

Jane walked through a series of never-ending doors and finally realised how useful this guiding sphere was. This place was even bigger than how big it seems from the outside with and impossible amount of turns. You will feel that it's common sense that after turning right four times you'll reach the same place but it was not so in this dormitory.

Finally after walking for around twenty-twenty five minutes when she was almost at the brink of giving up Jane reached her room.

Opening the door with her key she saw a well organised room with two beds on both the extreme ends of the walls was seen. One of the bed was occupied by a purple haired woman who was reading a book leisurely before she noticed Jane's presence?

"Yes?" The woman gave a questioning look and asked her.

"Umm I'm Jane and I've been assigned to this room..." Jane said looking at her soon to be roomate.

"Oh a first year, I see. Don't mind me go and arrange your area then we'll talk about things leisurely." The woman said in a relaxed tone and went back to reading her book.

Jane nodded and started organising her side of the room. After around an hour and a half she was finally done and seeing that her roomate closed her book and streched her body while yawning as she turning her attention towards Jane.

"Jane right? I'm Agartha, your second year senior mage that is. Seeing your face you must be having many questions in mind. It was the same for me so feel free to ask." The woman said.

"Nice to meet you Miss Agartha. I hope you treat me well...." Jane said as she paused thinking of what to ask her senior.

"Ofcourse, I will that goes without saying. Ask what you have in mind I won't judge." Agartha said while chuckling as she saw Jane thinking hard about what she should ask her.

"Well, I was admitted with a friend of mine here but our rooms are different. Her guiding sphere was guiding towards a different direction so we both separated...I wanted to know how I would find her in the dorm now?"

Agartha chuckled and said "I feel bad for you, the thing is this guiding stone has more than one function. The moment you opened this door with the key the sphere got linked to you. The sphere can guide you anywhere you want, to anyone you know. This should be a good thing but for you first years its a curse cause you don't know how to use it. So in short you won't be able to go to your friend's room unless you or her gain basic mana manipulation ability."

Agartha slowly explained things to Jane. "Why would they do that though? Jane asked a little bit frustrated.

"Inorder to stop you first years from wasting your time and focus more on the way of magic. There's also a lot of hidden areas in this dormitory which is beneficial for your growth as a mage but you all can only reach it once your proficiency in handling mana reaches a certain level." Agartha said.

"Anyway you should take a bath first. You're all sweaty." Agartha said to which Jane nodded as she also felt quite uncomfortable being so sticky from all the sweat.

After exiting the bathroom she saw meals arranged on her table. She looked at Agartha who was already eating the food placed on her table. Noticing her she said "Oh, the meals are automatically spawned on our table and later cleaned by magic. This is exclusive to Class A student like us because as future high level mages how can we waste our time by going to the mess to eat with the rest rather than focusing on our growth."

Listening to her Jane agreed and ate her dinner while also feeling bad for Skyleane who was not as fortunate as her to come to Class A. After filling her stomach Jane soon went to sleep because tomorrow morning would be her first class at the academy. She looked at her senior who was sitting on her table now and reading a book under the light of the table lap.

'How diligent' she thought to herself as her tired body slowly made her eyes drop and she fell asleep.
