Everleigh placed the bottle on the counter and headed to the living room with a glass of wine in hand. Although she technically didn't know much about the world before, she now had six decades of memories to sift through if needed.

"Really? His name is Marcus? All that's missing is him being a vampire and it would really be a cliché." Everleigh lay on the couch, looking at the nearly ninety inch screen on the wall with satisfaction.

"He didn't have much and was little more than a beggar thirty years ago. Now he's considered an extremely wealthy man and is respected by many. Too bad my wealth is still beyond his." Everleigh knew she didn't work a day in her life for the money she now owned, but was still satisfied she had enough money to live several lifetimes without a care.

"I didn't even meet him yet, I sent him a text to take care of the bodies but that was all." Everleigh decided to go out and meet him. Although it was a different world, civilization had developed the same way Earth's did.

"Well, it's a good thing the sun is harmless." Everleigh realized when she experienced Everleigh's six decades that most weaknesses vampires had on Earth weren't applicable here.

Sure, a stake to the heart would kill her, but aside from that, she was basically immortal. She was also stronger and faster than any human, not to the point of being invincible, but enough to overwhelm any single foe.

"Should I go?" Everleigh got up and after ruffling through her closet filled with clothes, so much that it almost annoyed her, she picked out a beige dress and white heels, finding a similar colored bag and dropping her phone inside.

Because she was a vampire, she didn't employ humans where she lived. She had several expensive cars in this house alone, and she could drive them all.

Because she rarely stayed in one place for long, she had several residences across the world, from regular houses to million dollar mansions. When she left them to travel, she left them as is and before she returned, would have people update the houses before she did.

Stepping into the garage, luckily it wasn't extremely hot since the air conditioning units also extended to the garage. There were three cars, all comparable to million dollar cars from Earth with sleek designs and beautiful shiny paint.

"A Millenium Series X. Worth eighteen million and one of seven in the world." Everleigh got into the sleek white car with darkened windows, turning the engine on with the press of a button, enjoying the feel of the car rumbling gently.

When the garage door opened up, she drove out and stopped, looking back at her residence, a beautifully made mansion with several different elements that somehow merged well together.

"An upgrade." Everleigh pressed on the gas pedal lightly and let the car move forward until she left her property and drove for half a minute until she reached the main road.

Marcus has several residences across the city, but he had texted her his location back when she returned to the city in case she needed him for something, so using the GPS, she followed the directions, enjoying the envious and respectful gazes she got from both passerbys and drivers as her car drove on.

...

When a gate to a rather expensive villa complex stopped her from proceeding, a security guard dressed in black walked over with a smile and waited for her to lower her window.

"Good afternoon ma'am. Do you have business here?" When he saw the beauty with black hair and blue eyes looking at him, he asked after a brief daze.

"Yes. I have the code here." Everleigh held her phone out and showed the security guard the code she received from Marcus a few days ago and smiled slightly when he straightened and gestured to another to open the gate.

"Have a nice day ma'am." He didn't know who exactly Everleigh was, but from her car and appearance, how could she be normal? Everleigh drove into the complex and followed the path to a large villa.

When her car pulled into the villa's parking lot, a man probably somewhere in his mid forties came out with two body guards and frowned when he saw an unfamiliar car stopping outside his villa.

Since the windows were dark, he couldn't see who it was even if the car was expensive. The door opened and a woman got out, making the body guards relax a bit, but Marcus stared with trembling hands.

"Long time no see, huh kid?" Everleigh spoke flatly without much  change of tone, even if she could see how dumbfounded Marcus was. Who could blame him? That night over thirty years ago, she had appeared before him like an angel and turned his life around completely.

And now, here she was again, looking the same without any differences aside from the clothes. Anyone would be dumbfounded because it was simply too preposterous.

"I don't know who you are, but this is Mr. Marcus Rathsford!" A twenty something year old body guard said but was cut off when Marcus raised a hand to silence him.

"Miss Everleigh!" Marcus cried out like he had seen some long lost family member. To the original Everleigh, though she did give him money and a home back then, but that was only because she had an ulterior motive.

Even if Marcus died, at most she'd feel it was a pity about the lost money, but to say she had any attachment to him would be grossly overstating it by a huge margin.

"You've grown up." Because the original Everleigh was usually indifferent, Everleigh didn't intend to change it because if another vampire dropped in, any change no matter how small would immediately be seen through.

"And you look the same." Marcus said emotionally. Back then, he didn't have anything and his mother was dying of sickness, so he could only work and beg to help provide for her.

Everleigh reached out a hand and saved both him and his mother back then. Even though his mother didn't die and got better, he never did forget the kindness Everleigh showed him then.

"Can I come in late?" Everleigh asked with a smile, although it wasn't very real, it was polite enough to pass for one, and knowing her from back then, Marcus nodded and led them inside.

Inside the house was various works of art and pots and vases, something Marcus seemed to like very much as he briefly explained how and when he got them in passing.
