Chapter 15: Chapter 14

Romeo came downstairs dressed in all white and walked into the kitchen. He raised a brow as he saw Halo was already dressed and asked, “When in the hell did you get dressed?” He had slept over since Halo’s mother disappeared again.

Halo looked over as he was placing the meringue kisses dipped in chocolate and hazelnuts on the cake, saying, “This house has not only one bathroom.”

Romeo groaned as he walked over to Halo, who turned to face him. He snaked his arms around Halo’s waist and slipped his hands into Halo’s shorts and squeezed his cheeks and slammed his lips against Halo’s, taking him by surprise.

Halo pulled away feeling light-headed and looked at Romeo while he tried to clear his vision and asked, “What’s gotten into you?”

Romeo sighed as he leaned his head into the crook of Halo’s neck and said, “You look like a walking human snack. Forgive me for wanting to bend you over the table and make you scream my name.”

Halo’s eyes widened as he looked over Romeo’s shoulder. He could feel that Romeo was turned on and the organ was pushing against his stomach. He took a quick breath and pushed Romeo away gently with the heels of his hands and said as he looked at him, who was frowning, “I need to finish the cake.”

Romeo’s eyes trailed over to the cake that looked finished but was missing two meringue kisses and said, “You have been working on this cake for over three hours. How did you get so much done?”

“Romeo, your hands,” Halo mumbled with red cheeks.

Romeo smirked but let his valentine go and slipped his hands out from Halo’s pants reluctantly. He went over to the fridge while Halo returned to doing his work creating that beautiful cake.

Romeo pulled out the leftover food from last night and warmed it up in the microwave. He made coffee for himself. 

He couldn’t wrap his mind over his own behaviour. What was Halo doing to him that had so much self-control, or was it because Halo was the one to ruin the image he built up over the years?

The microwave dinged. He took out his food and had his cup in his other hand. Turning around, he faced Halo’s back and his eyes landed on Halo’s untainted neck. Romeo’s eyes darkened. He stepped forward and kissed Halo on the back of his neck, making him catch a fright, but luckily Halo was far enough away from the cake and did not damage it.

Romeo parted his lips and let go of Halo, who immediately hunched over leaning against the table.

Romeo made his way around the counter and sat in the chair. He placed his quiche down and coffee down and looked at Halo who was peeking at him. He raised a brow and asked, “What?”

“Don’t what me as if you did nothing! What is your problem? I’m busy making a cake for YOUR friend and you won’t even let me finish. Do you want me to kick you out of the house?” Halo growled at him.

Romeo took a sip of the coffee and said, “I want to fuck you, Halo.”

Halo immediately felt a lump in his throat. He bit down on his bottom lip and ignored Romeo. All he was doing was distracting him with his boldness that he started after their intimate moment alone during the week. 

Romeo raised a brow when he saw Halo looked over at him and was going to ask what was on his mind since he had a frown but Halo asked, “Why are you doing all of this? Do you know how wrong your actions are and you randomly buying me so much shit then asking me to be your valentine? You are always so damn horny and it’s really starting to piss me off. Instead of doing all of this, why don’t you just get to the point and tell me you just want to fuck me, I ha…”

“Wait Halo!” Romeo said firmly. He climbed off of the chair and went over to Halo and cupped his face. Using the pads of his thumb, he wiped away Halo’s tears and hugged him until he calmed down.

Romeo did not let go of Halo, even though Halo tried to wiggle his way out of his arms. Romeo kissed him on his left ear and said, “Listen Halo, I admit I am acting weird, but that is only because I am with you. Never would I have done this with anyone and I do not know why I am like this.”

He let go of Halo and said as he took Halo’s hands in his, “I don’t know why it took me so long to find you and I am so glad I did. First, you started calling me daddy, and it’s not that I dislike it, but it’s because I only want my children to call me daddy. Second, when I received the kiss on my cheek from you my heart beat so fast and I did not know what to do and after I looked at your Stagram page I just lost it and got so turned on and I think I have a leg fetish now because of you. I felt so horrible after you fell sick and I just wanted to be with you, the weirdest part of it all is that when I sleep next to you, I feel so safe, calm and it’s like I was meant to sleep in the same bed as you and now, looking into your eyes, Halo, I can honestly tell you I want to be your husband and not just your boyfriend. We just met and I don’t know why, but it feels as though we have met before, experienced life together and we could do it again. Me wanting to be intimate with you is not because I’m a horny human, I just want to do everything with you and make you feel good as well as myself and I know it is too soon because we are not dating and I am trying my best to restrain myself even though it is not working but I want to take things at a pace both of us will be comfortable with so from now on I will try to calm down on my advances.”

Halo looked into his eyes and said, “I would have said yes to being your boyfriend if you asked.”

“You would?” He asked, surprised.

Halo nodded his head, “Yes.”

“Then would you be my husband? I don’t like the idea of you leaving me because we are just boyfriends, husbands make commitments and I can see you in my future holding our children in your arms,” he asked with an eager look in his eyes that blew Halo away.

Halo processed it all and after a moment of imagining their future together Halo said, “I won’t let anyone come between us Romeo.”

Romeo smirked, he looked down at Halo amused and said, “I take it that we are getting married in two years time.”

Halo blushed and hugged him at the waist and said, “Just give us a few months then I want you eating me up.”

“When you are ready Halo, there is no rush,” he said and slapped Halo gently on the butt.

Halo rolled his eyes, he could still feel the lump poking his stomach. He looked up at Romeo and said, “Let me finish then we can head out.”

Romeo nodded his head and kissed him on the lips, he sighed and let go of Halo reluctantly. Heading back to the other side, he looked at Halo from behind his cup of coffee and asked, “So we are together right?”

Halo looked over at him and nodded his head with an embarrassed smile, “Yes.”

Romeo couldn’t help but smile, he mentally made a note to get matching rings for the two of them soon.

Halo moved on to decorating the cupcakes then made truffles out of the cake scraps. It was three in the afternoon when he finally finished and when they headed out. 

Halo had on black shorts with a red and white striped shirt tied around his waist and a tank top on. Black slip-on sneakers and a chain around his neck that went all the way down to his waist.

They arrived outside Justin’s house and saw that all his friends were still there even though it was so late. Romeo parked the car and looked at Halo and he could see that Halo looked worried.

Romeo leaned over and made Halo look at him and leaned his forehead against Halo’s and said, “Calm down.”
