Chapter 85: Arc 5: Black Blasphemy (25)

At the White Plains, the Pure Army of Montgomery — minus Micheal — had no idea about their leader's insane plan.

With the quick arrival of two Archangels and the Tear of Immortal, the force of Montgomery planned to finish the Lord of Mechanical Magic as fast as possible. They aimed to assemble at the White Plains in the morning and threw everything they had at the flying city of Hecate. With their enemy still trapped in the Valley of White Plains, the morale was high despite the recent raid.

Two men, Archangel Deluge and Archangel Micheal were in the tent with their commanders. They stood out like a beacon of hope to rally the army in these dark times.

In contrast, the Unity Lord’s household was significantly less organized in their preparation.

To translate bluntly, Ciel was still in bed with his girls. Hikari was snuggling by his left in the half asleep state after the night of furious activity. Xia laid beside the Unity Lord in a furious make-out session. Meanwhile, riding on Ciel was the new girl. Carolina bounced up and down on her lover, moaning repeatedly with the face gazing at the star. Her brain floated over the cloud and her body shuddered in pleasure every time the tip of the meat punched into her womb. 

Betty watched Carolina’s recent progress with arousing interest. Like everyone else, she was stark naked, waiting to join in on the fun. Her frenemy was a fast learner. It took only a few days for Carolina to go from being a complete sardine in bed to something more serviceable. Granted, Hikari spent an entire day playing with her, and that did wonders for her learning speed.

Still, Betty felt a certain hint of pride as Carolina fell on to Ciel’s chest from her epic orgasm.

“Can’t believe your Authority had this function,” Betty stopped watching, and walked over to the bed.

“Yep, the truth we stumbled upon is unknown to me too,” Ciel said, finishing the kissing session as Xia rubbed him back to readiness. “To be honest, I wasn’t surprised. The hint was all there.”

The full-body check after Carolina’s full induction revealed that her transformation process had proceeded smoothly. It also revealed a heightened concentration of Ether — signature of the Lord — in her bloodstream. Subsequent comparison checks also yielded similar results in the girls with the highest count being Xia. With that evidence, several suspicions by Ciel were confirmed.

Ciel’s Authority created a connection for his spouses to absorb the power of a Lord in exchange for Ciel obtaining a portion of their potential. Those were the very basics of his abilities, but the devil laid in the details. The Harem’s overall power was increased by injection of Ether with a trace of Ciel’s power to form a connection between them. This connection functioned as a power line linking them with the central server that is the Residence of Lord — the center of Ciel’s power. The prolonged absorption of this Ether expanded their potential and evolved them beyond humanity's limit, while sending more of their essence to the Residence and Ciel in a positive feedback loop.

The level they had represented the progress of this process. The higher the girl’s level the more completed their evolution and thus synchronization with Ciel becomes. Caislean’s level represented the capabilities of the Residence, while Ciel level represented how much potential had been processed in his progress as a Lord. After recording how his level increased with the new addition into the Harem, Ciel theorized his power — and thus the entire group — grew in correlation to the amount of essence (aka harem’s membership.)

Then there was confirmation of the theory that sexual intercourse helped catalyzed this process. After that fact became common knowledge, Ciel’s schedule suddenly turned very full.

Before Betty could join the orgy, Caislean arrived into the room with an update.

“Montgomery is about to clash with Etaceh for the second time,” Caislean informed the group.

Betty groaned at the interruption, “Now?” She cursed. “Oh, come on.”

Ciel lifted from the bed, “Sorry girls, I think we need to prepare.”

Carolina, the new girl, made a face, “This is tragic. I barely set my domain a day ago.”

“That is already too fast,” Xia said. “I never expected you to have a secret spare lab outside of Curtis.”

“I needed a place to make zombies and study before I enlisted,” Carolina grumbled at her new ‘older sister’. “Not everyone was born in a castle.”

“Someone wants to be spanked again,” Xia cracked her fingers.

“We don’t have time for this,” Carolina scooted behind Ciel. “Tell them we don’t have time for this.”

“She is right,” Ciel acted as the referee. “We don’t have time for this. Carolina’s gear is only half-finished and Hikari’s was only completed yesterday.”

Hikari chose that moment to get-up.

“Finally,” Hikari nursed her shoulder, trying to keep her internal kid from jumping at her long await upgrade.

The recruitment of Carolina and the subsequent increase in the overall synchronization allowed for several upgrades. First, Ciel had obtained a new skill.

Like [White Allegiance], [Black Allegiance] increased Ciel’s ability over a Mana — in this case Black. The Skill granted him control and resistance over Black Mana on top of providing him with the resistance toward the color. Sadly, like [White Allegiance] it didn’t grant him automatic mastery over a color, instead Ciel had been taking an extra lesson from Carolina much to Xia’s chagrin.

However, those increases in power were nothing compared to Betty, Xia and Hikari who broke the threshold and unlocked their new skill.

Upon surpassing the LV:40 mark, both Xia and Betty had obtained their fourth skill. Impressive as it sounded, not everything was sunshine and rainbows. Xia’s newest skill had incredibly high mastery requirements. [Auric Manifesto] was a power whose learning curve was a match to its impressive power, and Xia won’t trust an unreliable tool in combat.

Betty’s newest arsenal—[???]—fell under a similar circumstance for a different reason.

[???] was like [Deific Wing] in nature. Like how the first iteration of Xia’s almighty sword was mere golden dust which needed to be processed into a weapon, Betty’s fourth skill produced a spherical jewel, which according to every expert in the Residence was the most advanced golem’s core they had ever seen. In terms of raw potential, Betty's newest skill wouldn’t lose out to [Deific Wing], but like the prior case, it must be processed. The core must be put into an adequate automaton to display its full power.

Ciel might be a master artificer. He boasted many feats to prove that status. Sadly, building the proper shell to house such a powerful core was a ridiculous request even by his standard. Even with Betty and Carolina — their newest expert in Magic — backing him, such a monumental task couldn’t be done in three days.

It was Amy who got the most mileage out of her new arsenal. [Minion Creation]’s abilities were pretty self-explanatory. It allowed her to create extra hands to help with her job. These hands arrived as cute little mice with more strength than any rodent should have access to. They also arrived in time to solve the Residence’s mounting problem and kept climbing with the growing population. Home maintenance wasn’t fun. Even if someone like Amy enjoyed hospitality and service, even she had limits. 

It was quite a while for everyone to get used to having their room-service, laundry, and food-delivery by rodents, but all of them had seen weirder things in life, so the transition went off with complaint.

Still, they batted an eye when several mice dragged out the mannequin wearing Hikari’s newest gear. It was a streamline armor with opaque windshield headset and bodysuit with custom-made gauntlet and greaves.

Caislean and Ciel followed them in with a checklist.

“Thanks guys,” Caislean waved at the team of rodents. “You have been very helpful.”

One rodent paused, spun back and saluted before scurrying away again.

Caislean went back to introducing the suit, “Okay, this is the Flash Blade Battle-suit. The head-set contained the sensory-control input. The rest of the armor is made with friction resistant material woven with polymer. We lined the Battle-suit with a strength amplifier and neuron modifier. This augmentation system was linked to the control on the belt. As you might already guess, this suit is built specifically for high-speed combat.”

Ciel took over the explanation.

“The footwear is designed to boost speed. Unlike Xia’s original gear, Flash Step functions as a high-speed instant movement.” He said, advertising each piece of equipment. “The helm functioned as a thought accelerator, enabling the Battle-suit’s aims of high-velocity combat. These functions are controlled by the Vector Belt.” Ciel introduced them to the metallic belt with a circular buckle. “This belt controls the suit nervous regulator and can store kinetic energy for redistribution with the awakening mode that will double all your parameters on top of normal Limit Breaker function. But the best piece of gear, in my opinion, is the Gauntlet.”

Hikari picked up the weapon, noticing it had three hollow out sections for beads.

“I use the same technology I used to create Betty’s blasting wand, but instead of a Self-Explosion this Rune Slot acts as stat adjustment. You can change the specialization of your gear mid-battle.” Ciel showed her the marbles loaded with runes. “This ranges from Speed, Power, Defense and Aura. It also has a reloadable drug injector that increases the efficacy of each steroid.”

Xia whistled, but no one had any complaints aside from Carolina.

“What about my equipment?”

Caislean answered, “Normally, you would get none because we don’t have the material, but…”

Ciel finished that sentence, “But thanks to your new Domain and Amy’s new minions we whipped an incomplete set for you.”

“Incomplete?” Carolina asked.

“Yes, we have the general design down,” Ciel answered. “But Hikari’s gear is so complicated we only fulfill half of the gear needed, but I think it will be enough.”

With that, all sides were set.

In the White Plains the flying fortress of Hecate floated, surrounded by the army of Montgomery.

Upon Archangel's Micheal the horn blew, and the final battle of White Plains begun.
