I was standing in a field of dandelions. I felt so good here. The place was filled with serenity and peace. It was as if all the pain in my heart had disappeared. The light of the sun was so nice and warm. I saw my mother and Sasha. They were picking flowers. Tears immediately appeared in my eyes.

“Mom, Sasha, I missed you so much.” I immediately ran towards them.

"Honey, what are you doing here?" Mom hugged me.

"You stupid thing, you didn't remember anything." Sasha smiled.

"Forgive me. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't suffer from illness and die." I leaned over and hugged my sister tightly.

"You're such a fool." She kissed me on the cheek. "Don't blame yourself for this."

"I'm so happy to see you." I took my mother by the hand.

"You shouldn't be here." Mom smiled sadly.

"It's still too early." My sister stroked my head.

"Why? I want to stay with you. Now we are together again."

"You must return." Mom smiled again.

"Where? Why should I come back? You two are next to me."

"Nika, you don't belong here. Remember what you promised me?"

"I do not want to leave. Why are you driving me away?"

"If you don't come back, many people will be distraught. Especially him." The sister pointed to the side. I saw an image of a guy with red hair. His eyes were very familiar to me.

"I don't know who he is."

"You know. He is waiting for you." Mom patted my head. "Tell dad that I'm not mad at him and I don't blame him for anything. I loved him very much."

"Mom, please don't leave me again." I didn't understand why they were driving me away. Tears were running down my cheeks.

"Go. If you don't leave, I won't be able to meet you again." Sasha smiled.

"We will meet again?"

Yes, but you'll have to be patient."

"Go, honey. We love you very much."

"Wait for me, Nika."

In my dream, my mother and Sasha smiled at me. I tried to touch them, but nothing worked for me. Everything began to blur. I felt that someone was holding my hand tightly. The body was so stone. I tried to open my eyes and saw dad next to me. He was whispering something and holding my hand.

"Dad." I quietly called him.

"My daughter. You woke up."

"In a dream, I saw my mother. She said that she loves you and does not blame you for anything." I squeezed his hand. He had lost so much weight, and there were bruises under his eyes. It seemed even his hair had turned grey.

"I begged her not to take you away from me."

Tears flowed from my father's eyes. He burst into tears and hugged me tightly. I also burst into tears, as if the walls between us had collapsed. When my dad and I calmed down, I asked. "Daddy, where's Aiden?"

"I'm here." Hearing his voice, I smiled.

Aiden looked no better than my father with his tousled hair, crumpled clothes, and exhausted face.

"How long did I sleep?"

"A month. Everyone thought you wouldn't wake up again." Aiden covered his eyes with his hand.

"Thanks for saving me."

"I was afraid that I had lost you forever.”

“We need to tell the others.” Dad left the room.

“I love you, that was my biggest regret that I didn’t say those words to you.” I looked at him, smiling.

“Fool.” Aiden sat on the bed and pulled me towards him, hugging me so tightly it hurt. “You are so stupid. I should have said it first, not you.”

“Sorry.” I smiled.

"I won't leave you alone for another minute. We will be together all our lives.”

“Do you promise?”

"I promise." Aiden ran his hand over his cheek and kissed him gently. We hugged again. I snuggled up to his chest. Only next to him did I feel peace and security.

Soon Desmond, Nina, Alex and the Duchess came running to us. After many tears and hugs, we finally calmed down. From the story of my father, I learned that Mikael locked himself in his room and did not let anyone in since Bella returned his memories to him. Keane and Sarah often visited me. Bella's family was executed for using blood magic.

Aiden found Victor, and after the trial, they also executed him. Aiden wanted to kill him himself, but dad wouldn't let him, because Victor is a priest, though sick in the head. And Aiden might be in trouble. He made an antidote, and kept me alive with magic, but the poison was potent, and that was why I didn't wake up for so long. Late at night, Alex came to me again. He sat down next to me and smiled.

"I have decided to go on a trip."

"Why?"

"I used to think that no one would love you more than me, but I was wrong." He sighed. "Aiden sat next to you every day, whispering something to you. He believed that you would wake up."

"Alex, I remember everything."

"I, too."

"But how?" I didn't understand. He wasn't with us.

"I asked Aiden. You didn't choose me again. Apparently, it's really not our destiny to be together. But for me to see you with another is tantamount to death. I want to leave. I'll try to come to my senses." He chuckled.

"Thank you for everything you did for me. I am very glad that we became friends then." Taking his hand, I smiled.

"I am also glad that I went to the river that way and met you."

"Are your parents aware of your decision?"

"Yes. They approved it."

"Will you come back?"

"I do not know." He got up from the bed. "I hope you are happy, sis."

Alex left two days later. My condition gradually improved. Aiden forced me to drink medicine that looked and tasted disgusting, but it really helped me. When I felt much better, I decided that it was time for me to talk to Mikael and straighten his brain.

"My lady, you have just grown stronger. Why are you going to the palace?" Nina looked at me worriedly.

"I want to crack one idiot on his stupid head." I smiled.

"Are you serious?"

"Certainly."

"Are you ready?" Aiden entered the room.

"Yes."

"Good." He took my hand and carried us to the palace.

Aiden and I walked down the hallway holding hands. Keane stood next to the massive doors. His face was bleak. I could imagine how worried he was about Mikael.

"Riya, good afternoon." He smiled. "I'm glad you're awake."

"Good afternoon, thank you for visiting me." I walked over to him and hugged him lightly.

"You're my friend. How could I not visit you?"

"Aiden, please help." I smiled at the mage.

"I can't believe I'm helping you get into another man's room." He shook his head and snapped his fingers.

“Thanks.”

I quietly entered the dark room. He did not even open the curtains. Everything in the room was scattered. Fragments from broken dishes lay on the floor, and pictures were torn off. Mikael sat against the wall with his eyes closed. I saw empty bottles next to him.

“Why did you come here?”

“You behave childish. Why this performance? What will you achieve with this?”

“Did you come to read morality?” Mikael chuckled.

“You really are a child.” I sat down next to him.

“Do you hate me? Or are you afraid of me?”

“Not one or the other.” It was true. I felt nothing for him, only pity.

“Why? I executed you for a crime you didn't commit.”

“Would it be easier for you if I hated you?”

“I do not know.”

"That was a long time ago. After that, I lived a very happy life. I met a man whom I truly loved."

"Are you talking about this idiot?"

"Stop insulting people."

"Now you are a completely different person. You were more like a doll back then, almost without emotions."

I got up and headed towards the exit. "Stop feeling sorry for yourself and needlessly bothering other people."

I felt Mikael grab me from behind and pull me to him.

"Why can't we start over? You did love me."

"We don't have to start over."

"Why are you talking like that? If I get on my knees, will you stay with me?"

"Stop it." I tried to push him away.

"Stay with me. I'll fix everything I've done." Mikael kissed the back of my head.

"If you really want to fix everything, then become a worthy ruler. Do not wage senseless wars and do not force children to fight, help ordinary people."

"But you still won't stay with me."

He released me, and I left the room. Mikael followed.

"Don't look at me like that, Your Highness, you had your chance." Aiden took my hand.

I hope you will consider my words." I smiled weakly at the prince.

"It's time for us. You must take your medicine." The mage smiled.

"I'll be green with it soon."

"I'll like you green too." Aiden laughed softly and intertwined our fingers.

He immediately transferred us to the estate. Aiden sat me down on the bed, then opened a vial that was on the table and handed it to me. I drank the contents of the vial and grimaced.

"I heard your conversation." He sat next to me.

"With the help of magic?"

He did not answer me and was silent for a long time, and then he sighed deeply and looked at me. Aiden looked at me with tenderness, but also with sadness.

"I was afraid you wouldn't come out of there."

"It's all in the past." I laid my head on Aiden's shoulder.

"And your feelings for him, too?"

"Now I only love you."

Aiden got up from the bed, got down on one knee, and took my hand.

"We promised each other that we would always be together. Do you still want it?"

"Certainly. Why are you asking?"

"Then marry me." He snapped his fingers, and in his hands was a beautiful vine-shaped ring. "I want to live my whole life with only you. Do you agree?"

"Yes." I was thrilled to hear these words and immediately hugged him.

Aiden held me tight. I didn't know what awaited us, but I didn't need anyone else apart from him.
