At last, after spending quite a while, Rey was able to master the control over her Keepers. The time it took for her to do so was enough to fulfill her tasks, given by the eldest of the Travelers, Ren. Although she had done what she was supposed to within the allotted time, she still felt disappointed to herself, thinking she to work harder. It was the day before the present, when she heard a sudden call.

Ren: Come to me

A voice that she didn’t expect surprised her. Knowing well of who it was, she stopped and left a certain Rift, leaving her Keepers to do the dirty work. After doing so, she lifted her hand and strikes through the air, forcibly cutting reality. She then shakes her hand, showing that she was still uncomfortable with using a certain someone’s power as she enters the portal leading to the Vision Realm. Surprisingly, a little while after she reached the platform, she sees a young girl sitting in front of the Wanderer’s pedestal. Having felt of her presence, the girl almost chokes on her drink and turns around. Still shocked by Rey’s sudden presence, she tries to regain her composure as she greets the goddess.

Sophie: A-ahh… Greetings Lady Solace

Rey: Y-You… (what are you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be with the wanderer?)

Sophie: I’ve decided to stay here for the night

Rey: [!] I see… (Did she read my mind?)

Sophie: to meditate I mean

Rey: (So she’s here to strengthen her bond with the Wanderer… To think that a mere human knows how to—)

Sophie was it? Where is the Wanderer?

Sophie: He said that he was summoned by the Eldest (Wanderer? Are you not..)

Rey: Yes… Although I live with them, I’ve yet to gain the right to call them by their name

Surprised, Sophie looks back at her which made the Lady Solace think. Only then did she realize that she had exposed herself of reading the human’s thoughts. But unexpectedly, Sophie didn’t have much of a reaction. She said she understood and apologized for being too bold. Little did Rey know that she wasn’t the only one who came to a realization. Rey then leaves as Sophie began her meditation, distracted as she thinks of her actions, her decisions towards the Travelers.

Upon entering the Void, she was surprised to feel the presence of a tall man beside him. She then looks and realizes that it was Gabriel, who was on his way to leave. She managed to catch his attention before he left through the portal, only to notice the same disappointed look in his eyes. Ren, who was watching, called out to her. She looks at him, thinking about how rough of a conversation they must’ve had. Gabriel grabbed her by the shoulder. She looks back in surprise, only to see that his eyes were flaming as the two brothers glared at each other.

Ren: (you dare look at me with those eyes?) Do you have something else left to say?

Gabriel: (Forget it… Ill do it myself…You’re a fool for underestimating ‘her’)

Rey: H-hey Gabriel…This isn’t-

Gabriel: Lady Solace—(Please… He has forgotten himself… Speak to him)

Rey: …I—

Gabriel: (the existence of the human race are now at stake… I do not wish for the annihilation of my brother’s creations…
So with that, I wish you luck)

Gabriel left, leaving only the two behind. Upon his way out, Ren sighs deeply as he sat back down in his throne, pinching the bridge of his nose as he forcibly closed his eyes. Rey, who saw this, couldn’t help but feel concerned. Knowing well of her true existence, she doubts her right to do what she was thinking. But while doing so, she remembers Gabriel’s words and realized that it was also her responsibility. So without a word she started to walk towards him. Hearing her boots echo through the void made Ren look. He calls out to her saying he wasn’t in the mood to talk. Surprisingly though, she said nothing and continued to walk. When she was climbing up the stairs to his throne, he watches as she slid her finger through her hair, tucking it behind her ear. When they were at arm’s length, she hesitated to speak.

Rey: I know you think it’s not the right time (But...)

Ren: Don’t… We’re not talking about-

Rey:  I— know nothing… (who that… “she” is, that you and the Wanderer keep talking about…about the youngest and the chosen ones)

I don’t even know why you chose me, out of everyone (to be your Chosen)

Ren: Rey...

Rey: I do believe in you… But I’m concerned Ren... (I’m worried…)

Ren came to a halt and stared at her, only to see that she couldn’t look at him. As she continued, he listened. She claims that, although she knew nothing, she believes him and Gabriel to be as worthy as they are just. She repeated Gabriel's words, asking what it meant. Hearing this annoyed him at first, so she reached out to him before he stopped listening. She claimed that she knew how exhausted he was and that Gabriel had already told her that of his goal. She confessed that she wanted to be with him, but knew that she would only slow him down.  Despite how much he hated where the conversation was going, Ren still let her continue. He had more than enough reason to believe her, even though she still hadn't said the Third's name. She insisted on helping them, which Ren already suspected was her true objective. But knowing well of the dangers he had faced, he turned around. He couldn't bring himself to even think of putting her in such a scenario.  But, Rey didn’t stop there; instead, she embraced him from behind.

Rey: I know you’re worried, but I’m ready

Ren: (that’s exactly why I’m worried)

Rey: I want to be of use to you… (Even if it ends with me meeting the God of Death)

Ren: (ha…)

Ren looked at her, and sees the fire in her eyes. He never thought he’d see such an expression in her face. He asked himself what it meant for others to have those eyes, but in the end he never got the answer. After a while of persuading, Ren finally gave in, embracing her as he spoke one word.

Ren: Fine

On the other side, before they left, Sophie asked him about what happened. Seeing that he went quiet, she already assumed what had occurred. To their surprise, the crack to the Void widened and with it came the goddess. Although he was aware of how different time flows in the Void, he couldn’t help but feel relieved when he saw a smile on the goddess’ face.

(Back in the present)

Underneath the blue moon was a beauty who came to admire the nightsky. Although the scene was beautiful, Athena still stood out the most. At the terrace of a mansion with the wind blowing through her dark hair, she sighs in disappointment as she takes a sip from her glass of wine. As she was peacefully enjoying her time alone, she heard the door behind her open and with it, a familiar deep voice.

King’s Knight: Arent you in the wrong place, your Grace?

Athena:  Ha...

I’m…Not a party person

King’s Knight:  I see…

The two went silent as the Knight suddenly began to strip himself from his armor while complaining, saying that it made his body so stiff and that it was annoying. Little did he know that while doing so, Athena was leaning her head, just enough for her to see a glimpse of who he was. After that, he calls out to her. But to his surprise, she ignored him. Thus, he made his move and came up from behind her, laying a bottle of wine on the railing. Without looking at him, she takes the bottle and fills both glasses with wine. Upon filling the other cup, he took what he saw as an opportunity and attempted to embrace her from behind, only to get scolded before doing so.

Lugh: Lanlan…

Athena: Here~

She turns, giving him his share to the wine. Although, to her surprise, he just sets it down beside her. Only then did she realize that he was planning on locking her in. But it was too late, with his arms in place, Athena had fallen into his trap. She then stared at his hand which seemed restless, holding the glass. Slowly, she moved her gaze until she reached the Prince’s eyes, thinking of his intentions. They talked for a while, which made Athena realize why he’s acting so unusual. He recalls the time where she and the girls went out shopping, and a certain man who always seemed to follow her. Upon hearing himself, he suddenly stopped talking, only to continue claiming that he missed her.

Seeing him act this way made Athena laugh inside. She thought it was cute and while he ranted, she began to consider taking a certain idea into play. Suddenly, she leaned forward giving him a peck on the cheek and apologized. That act of hers surprised the Prince, who could no longer keep his cold expression. He felt his cheek burn slightly and tried to control himself while his cheeks began to turn red. He looks back at her, only to see that she was grinning right back.

Athena: What? Is one not enough?

What a greedy kitty~

Lugh had finally reached his limit. Athena, who saw this as an opportunity, took advantage of it, escaping his so-called trap while giggling sweetly as he remained there, all flustered and perplexed. Lugh, who somehow managed to recover, pursued her, his eyes blazing with rage. He followed her, thinking that he needed to reclaim his honor, despite the fact that he had no idea how he would do so. They kept on running, and eventually, Lugh caught up to her and found himself at the entrance of the mansion. Despite not knowing why she stopped, he too did the same, having noticed the sudden change in her. The sudden voice then shouted, sending chills down his spine.

Voice: S-shut up!

Lugh: W-what was-

Voice: G-get away from me!

She looked up, realizing where the voice came from. She then spotted the shattered window and a certain person approaching it while walking backwards. Without a moment to waste, she asked for Lugh to help her, and he nodded while moving into position. She then rushed him and, with his assistance, got up a certain height. She then watched as the boy slipped and fell gracefully. With the voices no longer there and the wind blowing through him as he fell, the boy felt at ease. But just as he was about closed his eyes, he heard something and saw a hazy vision of a beautiful golden glow rushing towards him.

Luciel: W-who...
