While running through the camp, Leo arrived after receiving word of his Father’s arrival. Upon seeing her running, he stopped and invited her to hop in the carriage which he had brought with him. While she settled in, Leo notices a huge figure from the Royal Tent. With only a brief moment, he raised his hand to his chest while bowing his head. The General recognized this gesture and nodded back. Leo then turned, commanding the horses to run as fast as they could. They came to a halt upon reaching the Palace gates. Leo got off as quickly as he could and explained the situation briefly. He then heads back to the carriage to inform the Princess of their plan.

Leo: Princess! Ill finish things here

You should g-

To his surprise, Montana suddenly burst through the side door, sprinting past him. When she arrived at the Palace, Only three of the carriages were left. Fortunately, Athena was on one of them. Montana then shouted, calling out to the Palace guards. Upon approaching them, she asked the guards for the keys and  came to Athena. She noticed how much sweat fell and covered Montana’s face and laughed in surprise at how soon she came back. Athena tried to speak but was interrupted when she heard Montana’s voice, who was stuttering while tightly clutching the keys. Athena knew why, and chose to change her next words.

Athena: Its alright Your Highness

Montana: D-don’t tell them of the Ro-

Athena: hehe~ I understand...

Montana: If they knew of your connection they’d-

Upon locking eyes with her, Montana froze. Athena then spoke, assuring her that everything would be alright. With that said, she turned away and began to move along with the guards who came from behind her.

A few hours have passed, and Athena was already almost finished with her investigation.  The siblings were concerned, even though they were aware that Athena and her men were not involved in the incident. Concerned that the relationship they have with Lichtenstein may be harmed by the investigation at hand. Given their knowledge of the Senate's cruelty, the two felt ashamed. However, they were unaware that the Senate, who was in the room with her, had already started to give in after sensing Athena’s unique aura. The aggressiveness of the Senate was well-known. But each of his inquiries were met with an answer, Athena also had presented solid evidence to support her statements which were confirmed by other people. Seeing that the investigation was going nowhere, he decided to leave, saying that he would still be watching.

The next day, Athena and her group were released, with only a few restrictions to control their actions. After that, Athena ran into Montana, who was practicing her daily sparring with Leo. She watched from the shadows at first before revealing herself, which briefly distracted Montana. However she was able to regain herself within those seconds, successfully deflecting Leo’s hits. After widening their distance Montana spoke. Leo was initially perplexed when she spoke, but later understood upon seeing Athena who sat on one of the wooden boxes.

Montana: How hrggh, bad was it?

Athena: (sigh) A temporary suspension with our supplies, and some restrictions for moving around

Leo: Ahh- greetings, my Lady

Athena greeted him with a short laugh and waited for them to finish. While resting, the three of them continued to chat before going back inside. They then went straight to the dining room where they shared a meal. Montana realized how perfect that moment was and took the opportunity to mend their relationship. They continued to chat and laughed over certain topics. But while they conversed, Montana was taken aback upon feeling the silence. Athena suddenly went silent, while wiping her mouth with the cloth she had in her lap. She then spoke, using a tone which surprised Montana.

Athena: That girl... Yve? Right?

Can you tell me a bit more about her?

Montana: O-oh, uhm… I’d-

Athena: Don’t worry Your Highness… Im already aware of her origins

Montana: I-is that so?

Dain: Lichtenstein, located in –XX-XX-XX-… It is where the first Rift appeared, killing more than half of its population due to the lack of military power… Seeing that you know of her origin, I take it there are more like her?

Athena: Greetings Your Highness… I see you’ve done more research

Dain: I must admit, your works are quite astonishing

Athena: Haha~ you flatter me

Montana: -XX-XX-XX-… Isn’t that close to Yolhria

Athena: It is indeed but tell me… What does Yolhria have to do with her?

With Dain’s workload piling up like a mountain, Montana was surprised, because she didn’t expect Dain to be there. Dain also hid the fact that he volunteered to assist in searching for the perpetrators of the incident. Knowing that whoever took her wouldn’t have had enough time to leave the Kingdom, they felt assured. Since Athena was also aware of this, she decided to share some of her information in their conversation. She also attempted to bow down, having forgotten their custom but Dain stopped her and said it wasn't necessary.

Athena: If I may ask… How’s the search going?

Dain: Ahh… It’s only a matter of time before they show themselves

Athena: Your Highnesses… Forgive me for only speaking of this now, but… Are you sure they haven’t escaped?

Dain: Pardon?

Athena: The kingdom is indeed closed, but the gates aren’t the only way to escape

Leonhardt: If you’re speaking of the merchant routes, Sara and the team have already taken care of them

Athena: I am aware of that

Leonhardt: The walls? We would’ve seen them if they did so

Athena: *Sigh* and what of the underground?

It was at that moment where they realized what she meant. But Dain also knew of this and confirmed that he had some guards take patrol. But to his surprise, Athena’s facial expression was still the same, showing that he was still missing something. This caused him to think for a bit, and with enough time he finally realized what Athena meant. There was a place where all the canals would intersect, and in that center was a passageway which would lead from and past the Palace Garden, heading to the cities. But Dain felt something wrong, knowing the fact that only the Nobles and the Higher ranked had that info. Athena shouldn’t have known of such things, this was confirmed by Athena herself who spoke while he was thinking.

Athena: There is another way, Your Highness

Dain: How do you know of that route?

Athena: …Actually our initial plan was to have the Nobles support us first

You understand right? As a foundation for our trading with the Kingdom

Leonhardt: Yes… With a high enough status, we provide more efficient ways for the products to move in and out of the city

Dain: Hmmm… I see

Maid: Excuse me for interrupting, but someone has been calling for you Your Highness…

Dain: Ahh yes, thank you

There then came a brief moment of silence as they watch him go further away before speaking to the tablet. After calling out to Montana, Athena raised her voice and sarcastically asked who that person might be. The two then chuckled which irritated Dain, who heard them. He then answered the call and introduced himself before adding on the fact that they were  eating

Sophie: Ahh… Sorry-

Dain: Don’t be… What is it? It must’ve urgent if you called in these time

Sophie: A-are you really o…

Eherm… I saw a vision of Chisaiki’s future… She should be with you right?

Dain then hesitated, looking at Athena before confirming it to Sophie.

Sophie: That group… Their leader is the Lead Researcher in Tyrene

Dain: That man? The one you spoke of before?

Athena: Ahh~ I knew it was you… Greetings Your Highness

Sophie: Lady Wintere! G-greetings….you’re eating with the Prince?

Athena: Hehehe~ fret not Your Highness, I am not the type to steal another woman’s man

She then laughed upon seeing Sophie’s flustered reaction, which she claimed to be priceless. Dain blushed a little and thought how cute she was. After a while they calmed down, and Sophie took her time to go over Viktor’s background, as Tyrene’s previous Lead Researcher. Just like Dain, they were known to have looked in the Rift for a countermeasure against the demons. But three years ago, they were given the vision which could prolong one’s life. Thinking that itself was enough reason, they presented it to the Royal Family.

Sophie claimed to have strongly opposed the idea, seeing that they required a living human for the experiment. But similar to the Rogues’ tale, Viktor with his men managed to escape with the equipment. Sophie then continued and began to tell them about the experiment. Before considering the method to use a demon's core to prolong life, Viktor and his men initially planned on fusing a subject's body with the blood of the demon, which would strengthen the body for the following procedures. Sophie claimed that Viktor knew of the costs and consequences of doing so, with proof being that he included it during the presentation. After knowing a little more about who they were up against, Montana worried about Yve as they started to prepare.

With Sophie’s instructions, the group felt assured. Knowing that compared to before, her visions were much more refined now thus makes it more accurate. The following day, Leo’s group was stopped when they saw Athena and her team entering their tent while wearing their gear. Upon entering the tent, Leo was stopped by Veronica, who claimed that she was authorized to not let anyone enter, with only the Princess as an exception. Leo was left with no choice but to watch as Montana went on. While the beauty fixed herself, Montana entered the room with Veronica who left after announcing Montana’s presence. She was greeted by Athena first, which later on caused a conversation.

Athena: Seeing that you’re not that surprised, you must’ve expected this…

So… what is it?

Montana:  I— just wanted to talk you out of this…

This… happened and it isn’t your responsibility to-

Athena: I know… But Princess… They’re affiliated with the Rogues, are they not?

Montana: I-I… Still-

Athena: My men and I were taken into custody because of them, I may not look like it but…

Im actually one of those who’d keep a grudge, if its someone who leaves a bad impression on me

Montana was shaken at first. But upon seeing the fire in Athena’s eyes, Montana felt moved, which ignited a spark inside of her, a spark she was unaware she needed. Montana then apologized saying how foolish it was for her to have done so. In the bed laid Athena’s personal gun. Anyone would be drawn in by its distinctive appearance. The moment Athena noticed her gaze was focused on it made her grin. She claimed that the beauty it possessed was insignificant in light of the actual combat.  After listening to some of its features, Montana picks it up by the barrel, and hands it to Athena.

Montana: Here, Sure you’ll be okay?

Athena: hahahaha~ Thank you

Montana: Well then… Shall we?

Athena: Indeed…
