"I dont need any of it!" My shout caused the island to shake. 

Before I knew it, an explosion occurred, far louder than any of the others I had heard this past week.

The birds flew in panic catching my attention to its source.

"That's..." a surging line raised, the one that divided our territories. It was red and yellow, and it created black clouds of smoke. The trees were burning, slowly propagating in all directions.

But at that, I only had a grin filled with satisfaction. One way or another, in some manner that I wasn't sure of, the goddess seemed upset. And that brought me a sense of achievement. 

If revenge felt this good, then that would be a path I'd love to keep walking.

"Yes! Burn it all! Turn this entire island to ashes!" I opened my arms to the sides as rain kept falling, harder even thanks to the great wall of smoke in the distance.

☆The goddess has passed her seed to an outsider due to your refusal.☆

"Good," I grinned in a twisted manner watching over the flames that didn't stop.

There was no way out for me, so I walked to grannie's camp and sat close to it.

"I'll be joining you soon," I passed my fingers through the dirt, scratching it slightly upset.

I still wanted to live and do something with the rest of my life. Like this, it felt that it had been an empty journey without purpose. Everything was just a horrendous show of unfairness to my family.

We hadn't decided to be born and live here, and there was no other place for us to go other than the trolls' bellies. No way in hell, would anyone volunteer themselves to get into one.

'Is this the end of me?' I scorned my fate so much that it ached my heart. The intensity only grew fiercer by the second, causing me to sense the pulsation. Like a festival drum, the anxiety within me increased in a quick manner. 

'Death by the flame,' the complete opposite of what the goddess had shown us with her divine spring.

When I thought all to be lost, a different sound reached out from behind. It was just like something hitting the ground in a dull manner.

I turned around to its encounter, without hope inside. A part of me had accepted this outcome, yet the other side was looking for a solution. 

A black object stood vertically stuck in the ground. It looked like a long thin stick to say the least. But I had never seen the material it was made of. Its appearance intrigued me enough for me to go to its encounter.

As the tips of my fingers reached out for it, as it was almost touching its texture. I felt this eerie vibration that made me doubt my actions for a moment.

'Is it dangerous?' Despite my pondering, there was only hell behind me, consuming everything in its way.

I didn't know how strong that Jenny girl was, or how much water she could produce, but my instinct told me she couldn't beat all that.

'I have nothing to lose, right?' 

My old habit of asking myself things took the best of me. The uncertainty in me clouded further, similarly to the sad looking sky. Its heavy drops were not enough to attenuate the sudden hazard.

My hand clenched and then relaxed, approaching the shadowy-looking thing.

Its aura surrounded my skin, tingling every pore. And then, the moment I got hold of it, the energy spiked and darkened.

Despite opening my mouth slightly in shock due to hearing a voice in my mind, I decided to go along with it.

"My name? I'm Rain." 

It chuckled from my response causing me to raise my left eyebrow.

"Uh, yes?"

Its question overwhelmed what I could think of in this moment. It made me recall the earliest memories of my life, the things I went through, and all the pain that my heart had accumulated over these years.

'To take revenge against the useless goddess?' sure, that could be one. But that hadn't been the reason for the entirety of my life in this island. 

'A mate?' My promise to grannie, was to find someone to take care of me, a lover. Yet that hadn't been the most important thing either. Given my introvert personality, that was far from my priorities.

No. 

Something simpler was amiss.

A more crude goal that my entire self had learned through all these years.

"To live! To survive!"

Static sound caused my brain to ache.

The voice kept suffering some static, however, it persisted. It was trying to do something, to reach out for me.

"I accept," without giving it a second thought for whatever it could even mean. My course of action was to do what the almighty one didn't want me to do. Even if I died today, at the very end, I wished to go against her till my last breath.

The intricate shape of the flowing energy, started spiking randomly in different directions as if it was struggling with something.

At the same time, the wrath of the divine one reached my ears.

☆You have been marked as an enemy by the goddess' seed.☆

"You evil scum!" I yelled as loud as possibe hoping for it to reach wherever she was. My tribe blessing had been given away to a stranger, and now as if that wasn't bad enough, she dared set such person against me. Whoever it was, there was a chance that it belonged to Van's group. 

If I managed to get out of here alive, there would be a good chance that they would try to hunt me.

My eyes focused on the black object in front of me, waiting for the aura to stabilise. 

"We don't have much time," I gritted my teeth, fearful of the upcoming radiance and the unknown seed.
