Chapter 29: Chap 5 rewrite: Capsule

A pair quietly traverse the woods to their presumed destination.

Brother Song kicked a stone 

"According to this map, we will be there soon"

He said to his companion while holding a map with both his hand

"My feet are tired, why would they build a city so far away and in such a poor land?"

She complained, her sweat is dripping from his forehead and her legs are shaking.

"Let's camp here for a while"

He said before then taking off the baggage on her back and also his own.

"I never thought you have a heart"

She glared at him, he made her walk for so long.

"Consider it as a way to train your body"

He just pats her before finding and putting their stuff on a clean grassy ground.

"A way of training? You're more like torturing me"

She glared at him

"Fine, fine, here, take this and eat"

He just smiled and tossed a piece of bread to her

They then eat and rest for a while before continuing their journey. They passed the forest and soon arrived at a city. The surrounding trees have been cut off to make space for the city. The walls are made of wood and covered with thin thorny vines.

There are not a lot of people entering the place just from the appearance of the people going in and out they are just some mortal villagers.

'This place looks undeveloped, but why am I feeling that something is not right?'

Song Nuan thought to himself as he observe the place

"This place is strange.."

Little Xu murmured to herself

Song Nuan looked at her before saying

"Stay close to me, don't wander around"

She nodded and followed him

They didn't need much to enter the city and the guards can feel their strength and they just let them in.

They are still in unease at everything, something doesn't feel right. The houses, the stores, something is forcing them out

"Greetings fellow brothers and sister, you're new here. Might I ask if you want a guide?"

Behind them, a man walked from the crowd and greeted them

"Please, fellow brother. We heard that a new sect has been built here and are wondering if you can guide us there"

They both returned the greeting.

"Follow me"

He replied with a respectful gesture

On their way, the young man explained some things to them

"You might notice a force trying to make you go away, but it is a normal occurrence here. Please don't be alarmed

They remained silent, but are in deep thoughts

They soon arrived at the sect entrance. It is made from the same wood, but with more intricate sculptures and designs.

The young man whispered something to the guards and soon the entrance was opened.

"Say, fellow brother and sister, why are you looking for our sect?"

Asked the young man

"We wished to join, but we never expected it to be this remote"

Little Xu pondered for a while before replying

Hearing this, the young man smiled

"Seclusion is better than being pressured by the big fishes, isn't it?

Follow me, I will guide you to the registration area"

He walked away

"Your words hold some wisdom, fellow brother"

Song Nuan said

"I'm honored to hear such kind words"

Replied the young man

They then arrived at a small building near the river and guarded by both humans and some birds with weird and strange qualities.

"Please come in, we don't have a lot of people visiting so, please pardon"

Looking at the creatures, they reluctantly entered and expecting the interior to be dark, but instead, it is quite bright and full of beautiful flowers

"Grand elder, these young people want to join the sect"

The young man bowed to the person sitting on the side enjoying himself

The old man looked at the two and examined them before tossing two tokens made from dark wood.

"Accepted, you can take your break, I'm going to guide them"

"Yes, grand elder"

The young man bowed before leaving

"I know you have your reasons for joining us instead of a large sect with that talent. But I won't dig for your secrets

There is only one thing, we don't want traitors and spies"

His gaze turned cold

"Senior, we meant no harm"

Little xu bowed respectfully with sweats dripping from her forehead

He felt like he stepped on some shit, he never thought this sect have an expert.

He entered and pointed at a room on the side full of ruins on the wall.

The two noticed the rich earthy energy coming from the room and looked shocked, they didn't know that a small sect like this possesses something that in most sects only inner sect disciples can access

Lui Qing Shan has a proud expression when he saw their reactions.

"Just because our location is poor and our sect is small doesn't mean we don't have good things"

He said

"You two can stay here for a while and accustom yourselves. Tomorrow check me on the same building"

He added before leaving

"Yes, grand elder"

They bowed in the direction he left

"This sect is not simple"

Song Nuan said as he put their stuff on the side

"But it's too secluded and I barely see any disciples"

Little Xu replied

"It is normal for new sects, but this place reminds me of the countryside with how relaxed everyone is"

He feels some nostalgia remembering those memories of his as a child

"Yeah

Anyways, check out this room, my cultivation is faster than when we are in that sect"

Little Xu exclaimed with joy as she absorb the earthy energy from the cultivation room

"Hmm it is also much purer and richer"

Song Nuan is calmer than his partner, but even he is quite surprised.

They then cultivated there. 

This place feels more relaxed than the bigger sects where they are under constant pressure.

In the upcoming days, they spend the time cultivating and learning from the grand elder and great elders personally teaching everyone. They can manage this since they only have a few disciples to teach.

The cultivation in this world is composed of 3 realms and each with 9 stages. 

Body refining realm, Qi gathering realm, and Lake forming realm. Legends have it that there are higher realms, but few achieved them.

The grand elder is at 1st stage of lake forming and Lui Fen is at 2nd stage of lake forming

The great elders are at peak of Qi gathering.

Lily lay down on the soft grass with a very tired expression, same with Yen.

They are not physically exhausted, they are mentally fatigued.

Lily said on the side

Her face darkened and nearly smack him.

She then went away

Lily can only laugh at the situation.

He redirects his attention to the scenery around him.

He is on a grassland on the smallest floating island which is also the highest one.

Everything on each island has shades of red on them and thus creating a weird but beautiful sight.

They already finished the game system and everything, now it is time to do some testing. There is a town of course, but there is a lack of sentient beings. They managed to get some creatures sentient enough from the forest, but there is just so much they can do. Hopefully, they will develop full sentience in the future.

He sigh and left the island.

A day later

In the middle of the two is a capsule for a human to stay in, a virtual capsule. It is given to them by the system after they finished the virtual space

"This sure is chunky"

Lily said while checking it

"But it is full of function so it's worth it"

Yen Replied

"I guess you're right"

Lily said

Lily added before patting Marlyn

They are back at the cave and set out to go and meet the others.

Lily explained and then after that, he showed how to use it.

This headgear on top will let you enter the space inside and will also check your vitals and scan if you are in a dangerous situation

Don't worry, you can die inside the space but your real body and consciousness will not be affected and you can try again "

Lily finished.

Lui Fen explained

"A slime, we didn't expect to see one here"

Lily whispered to Yen

She asked

"Is it worth it?"

And Lily replied

"It should be, it has so many potentials"

Yen looked at them before taking out a paper

Good for destroying armors"

Lui Fen then passed the box and said

"Deal"

Yen passed the paper to her and keep the box in her inventory.

She looked at them

"Test if you like our new product, we will be waiting for a reply"

After that, they left
