Chapter 42: Rewrite chap 18: Nothing much

For the showcase of their products, they were given a spare nest and a boar. They were told that the boar would be freed after this for it served as a test subject and proper payment is given if it survives. They respect their source of meat since it can be a luxury for them sometimes. One of the reasons is that cultivators do not care about how many beasts they kill as long as they hold something valuable and thus the number of prey for the birds always decreases even with their efforts to increase the population. That is one of the reasons they hate outsiders, but they don't have a choice since they already made a contract with those sect leaders and they won't be able to face all of them at the same time.

The big bird complained about on the side.

It now obviously has venom.

"As you can see the changes are more drastic and more pronounced because of different races and blood quality. But if the blood remained from the same family the changes will not be so pronounced and the embryo will strengthen over time. Remember to only do it once a month, an egg won't be able to resist so much energy.

Also, another warning, don't do it if you are not confident with writing the symbols. Most of the time it will not work, but it's better to play safe.

You might still get mutations even if you use the same family blood, but those will mostly be positive ones and you should expect it when the bloodline of the embryo has a more developed bloodline by the nourishment it gets"

Lily said seriously, he's not joking around this time.

The moment they entered they saw Marlyn caring for the egg and the boar having fun with blacky and berry, they are chasing each other.

Seeing the two, Marlyn excitedly runs at them.

"My little sweetie, did something happen?"

Yen gently carries her.

"The egg is hatching"

Marlyn replied with a proud expression as if she took care of the egg for years.

"Oh really? Let's check it out"

Lily laughed a bit while patting her.

Yen stopped him for a moment and Lily as usual just laughed and stopped.

After some time with his daughter, Lily approached the black ball and picked it up. It squirms in his hands, but it can't escape. Finally, it gave up.

The magic circles stick themselves to the materials and the materials start getting smaller. The wood in the middle started changing form and got smaller, soon it became a hexagonal shape. The sap turned into a transparent glossy liquid that coats the hexagonal piece of wood as if a layer of protection. One of the strings-like materials they got from the sea also got the same process and after that, it went through the hole on the hexagon, and after another layering of sap, it is now done.

A faint white light emits from it and formed 3 lines on the side of the hexagon, a normal quality one.

"There you go, you can keep it"

She then put the necklace on the neck of Marlyn.
