Chapter 6: (6) Finally ready

While the outside is in turmoil, the family is just having fun. A but was constructed on the flat mountain.

They're also starting to create the basic rules of the world. And using rules they can create something similar to screens in games. 

Marlyn is also having fun with her new plants, it will take a while before she grows bored.

Now that they are in a treasure mountain, they are in no rush to take as many as they can. It's not like they can run or so they thought.

Since they get a hold of higher quality plants, they're upgrading their plants.

Yen walks around the flat Mountain when suddenly she noticed that the fish feels different. They seem aggressive to each other. 

The plants also turned white. This is very strange to her.

The plants feel very bony as if they are made out of bone and the fish developed thicker scales.

She quickly found the connection, it's because of the water. Upon discovering that, she just let it go because she also want to know how they will develop

 Shrugging her shoulders, she went back to shat she was doing. Upgrading the plants and trees using the data they got from the flowers. 

Then at that moment, she made a discovery. She can edit that data from the bird and change it so it won't absorb bones and instead absorb something else. But she doesn't know how it will affect the plants.

She found it by accident and probably the best accident.

She got the data of the flower they got and started changing it so it will absorb water and then put it in the lake. 

The plant immediately absorbs the water in its surrounding, but the rocks can produce more than enough.

Strangely the plant produce mists around it which then dispersed. 

Upon sensing it, the mist is condensed spiritual aura. The plant is absorbing the water and condensing the energy in the water and then dispersing them in the air.

It doesn't increase the amount of spiritual energy, rather it condenses them.

This is useful.

She then created more of them.

The flowers also start changing forms. They like looks like water lilies. While the problem with bones is still not solved, it's a nice addition too.

"Ohhh what's that?"

Lily who's holding a screen came from behind her.

" Something I found out"

She then proceeded to tell him everything about it.

He also finds it useful and thinks of using the same mechanism on his fishes.

They continued to research it and found a lot of interesting ideas. They went on like that for a few days and even Marlyn did her own versions. 

It's already a week when they realized they still haven't made the rules yet.

They start working on it and formed some basic rules. The rules are respawning and others. About the respawning, they had a heated debate about it. One side wants the respawn to not delete one item and one side wants to delete some items once they respawn.

In the end, they agreed on the respawn rule that the player must find back his items once he respawns. 

They continued to add more rules after that. Before that know it, a month already passed. They already finished the majority of the works needed for the rules and they only need someone to try it. They already tried it, but they want the reaction of someone who doesn't know what this is.

They also decided that it's time to get more data since they needed more and this time they need more data from land animals. They can make do with giant insects, but their virtual space is not an insect theme game. And, their current insects are too weak. Also, Marlyn will be upset if someone kills her giant garden beetles.

They are outside once again and they're feeling something strange.

"Ohh never did I think I will be able to use my past knowledge her" 

Lily murmur as he looks at the ground. On the ground are symbols and inscriptions.

"Detection array, a low level at that" 

Yen said quietly

When they saw the array, they know they have to be careful.

They transformed back into their original form so they are much harder to see and then they move weirdly until they are out of the array. They didn't crack the array as they will be detected. Instead, they used the weak spots on the array and walked on those to stay undetected.

They stayed quiet, only occasionally looking at each other.

They then proceed up the mountain and took every new things they found. Nine cloud grass, fire clovers, night orchids, etc, and all of them are middle grade in quality. Of course, they stayed on their principles and didn't take a lot.

It didn't take them long before encountering something that is not a plant.

It's a group of red chickens. They are good-looking and plump.

"Now that we saw a chicken, we haven't eaten in ages. Not that we need to, but wanna try some roast chicken? I missed the sensation of eating for a long time now"

Yen whispered to Lily. As for Lily, his eyes shone brightly. In an instant, two chickens got cursed and entangled before turning into data.

The remaining chickens run away clucking. 

As for the two, they proceed and left that place.

"One colored Phoenix, they sure do pick fancy names for chickens now." 

Yen murmur before following Lily. 

They then arrived in a dark area, a cave to be more precise. They continue deeper since they sensed no danger and they easily evaded the arrays set in place.

In the deepest part, they saw a young lady surrounded by glowing white stones.

There seems to be energy in the stones and it caught their attention. 

The lady seems to be in deep cultivation and doesn't notice what's happening in her surrounding.

There is also a big collection of things on the side.

This sight made their eyes shine, well, only yen because lily doesn't have eyes in this form.

They swiftly took some, but not too much, and also of course those stones.

Before disappearing they said.

"Thank you for your sacrifices young lady" (Lily)

" Your donations will not go to waste" (Yen)

They returned happily, and their victim was depressed.

"This magic stone might be what we need"

Lily said as a white stone appeared on his palm. If that lady saw it she might vomit blood in anger.

Yen also know it will be the solution to her problem on the pond

They feel like they're in paradise. Marlyn welcome them and she is also happy because her energy increased significantly because of what her parents brought.

But she's more excited about the plants.

"Want some spirit stone roasted chicken?" 

Yen asked as she took out the chicken. Of course, Lily will not decline such an offer. They also got Marlyn to accompany them.

Their daughter should experience one of the greatest pleasures of life which is eating.

Back on the flat Mountain, they got the chicken done.

"Snake chili, jade rose, fire oak bark, etc toss them in" 

She muse as she filled the empty cavity of the chicken with a lot of stuff.

Lily also finished the campfire with spirit stones acting as fuel because they realized it have such a good aroma when roasted.

With everything done, they start roasting the chicken.

If other people saw them, they will surely vomit blood at such a wasteful use of treasures. 

Marlyn is pretty excited because of how much her parents praise the chicken. She was even about to eat the chicken alive a while ago if they didn't stop her.

Aromatic smell wafted off from the chicken as Yen rub some sauce made from herbs to it.

It made the three of them salivate

"Mama, when will it be cooked?" 

Marlyn can't wait to taste it

"Don't worry sweetie, it will be done soon"

She comforts her as she's feeling the same

On the side, Lily is roasting chicken blood and chicken liver and clean chicken intestine.

A conflict of aroma floats in the air.

Soon everything is done cooking.

Yen took some plates made from wood with wide leaves placed on the top. 

She took portions for herself, Lily and Marlyn. They of course gave the most delicious part of the meat to their daughter. 

As for the barbecues, everyone gets equal.

"Delicious" 

Marlyn devoured her food fast.

The couple was stunned even tho they themselves finished their meat in record time. 

Marlyn loves everything she just ate, but the most she loves is barbecue liver. 

"I miss this sensation of eating"

Yen burp a bit as she lay down.

"Yeah, how long has it been since we last ate?"

Lily sat beside her.

"80 years ago?"

She tried to remember, but it's already on the river of time.

"Hahaha dunno, ohhh looks like our little girl want more" 

On the side, Marlyn is looking a the campfire as if wanting something.

She noticed their gazes and said.

"Mom, Dad, I want more"

The couple can't help but laugh and so their night continues as they keep eating until they are satisfied.

The next day they continue their plan, Yen finally fixed the bone problem of the pond, and she got a bonus that she no longer need bones. The water lilies also do their jobs properly and even grew larger. 

The fishes continue to change meanwhile while all of this is happening.

Lily continues to upgrade his floating island and even inflated spirits stones of various sizes and qualities to very creatures in the space. Lily and Yen made a rule regarding these implanted spirit stones. They can be made into potions.

As for the soil, ln the deepest part of the virtual space was now a massive layer full of compressed spirit stones just above the foundation stones, and it will nourish the soil. The soil itself was also combined with the data of spirit stones tho it is much weaker.

Because they like chickens, they added the chickens everywhere and even gave them modifications and upgrades.

They also planted the plants they got from that place everywhere.

Of course, they can't get things from here to the outside world, at least not yet.

With this so much addition, Yen can now make good items, and Lily can finally make potions.

The place is pretty much semi-complete, what's left now are just players to test it

They're hoping that lady to try it.

They continue refining their virtual space and adding more creatures, but soon they heard something.

*ding*
