I received a new mission  from the headquarters, two days after the Samoa incident.

One of the objectives was to investigate the incident at the Fly High Institute.

When I arrived at the place, I was astonished to find the corpse of the renowned public enemy of the state, Zueho The Gunning Man. He's a B-class criminal who was one of the candidates to receive a promotion to A-Class rankings of the underworld.

'They dispatched me here because I could finish the job faster than the other shadow Captains. Unbelievable. But to think I will find this body like this. Who on earth will do this horrible thing?' I performed a basic autopsy of his deformed body.

He suffered a brutish death. His face was zero recognizable. Plus, his organs and other body tissue covered with his blood lay scattered in this small area. As I examined it carefully, his body possibly exploded inside a box-type barrier or a large cube made of mana.

'Good grief. This is helpless. We won't get any leads from these scattered pieces. There are no witnesses except the president of this company. However, he doesn't want to cooperate with us. More like, he's trying to keep it a secret,' I contemplated.

"Does he really think I will give up on this? He's wrong," I smirked.

We've completely secured the place, but regardless of our effort, we only found thirty-nine corpses inside.

"I wonder if he is involved in this case," I rubbed a hand on my jaw.

Suddenly, I received a notification from the HR department. My eyes opened wide upon reading the new update.

'The Invisible Dark Mage and the irregular did it? Yeah, maybe they are correct. The princess admitted it today. She even included his name. Good grief. Yeah, this is true, Rick. Bear in mind, Holmer killed the other elites with a ferocious tactics. That man, he must be the only one responsible who do this. But I need to confirm it to them first,' I rejoiced after I finally discovered the culprit.

'The irregular hunter. He's an interesting fellow who doesn't like to stand out too much, though,' I nodded.

Since there were A-Class hunters who were investigating the area, I decided to search for the two troublemakers.

'But I heard the princess always does a solo mission. What should I do? Never mind, I need to find first this high school student. The other person can wait for another day,' I heaved a tiring sigh.

I dialed the HR department on my phone.

"Hello, HQ. I need information on the whereabouts of Dark Invisible Mage. Can you provide me with her location?" I inquired. "Right away, Sir Killstreak," a male HR responded.

I hung up and waited for the message.

*Ping*

I opened the link and checked her position on the map.

'Nice one. She's near. It is only a mile away from this place,' I smirked.

"Hey, hey, guys. I have some business to do. You guys, you guys continue to investigate this room, okay? This is an important task, so continue without me. Have fun. Farewell," I excused myself and exited the room.

I rushed to the exit and looked for my rented car.

Two hours later, I arrived at the exact place where she was staying at.

I rang the bell of the gate.

*Ring*

I ran it again.

*Ring*

"C'mon!" Helena answered and opened the entrance door of the house.

I raised a hand and greet the young lady.

"Greetings, it's been a minute, milady," I stated with smiling teeth. Her eyes opened wide and stood firm instantly. "Good... Good morning, Instructor Killstreak!" Helena was petrified.

'Good grief, you don't have to be frightened like that. I'm not going to bite you,' I giggled.

"If you don't mind, may I?" I requested an audience inside her safe house. "Oh, sure. Sure, come in," Helena opened the gate and let me in.

She guided me inside the house, and for some reason, I could smell the fragrance of a happy family.

'Why do I feel like I miss something important here?' I titled my head to the side.

I looked around and found some pictures on the shelves. There's also a photo of a married couple.

"Who's the owner of this house, milady?" I inquired. "The male owner is Toby. The child on the picture is his daughter. Her name is Latisa. Isn't she cute? Anyway, I'm sorry to say this. About her mom, I still haven't met her. This Toby hasn't introduced her to us. To make it short, this house is owned by an ordinary family of the Rualdez, sir," Helena responded, smiling.

I shifted my attention to the picture frame where they were together in a park with their daughter.

"Oh, Rualdez, huh? I didn't think the princess has a history with this family," I stated. "I'm sorry, but I don't have any connection with this family. My savior is a friend of the husband of this household. They both studied at the same school, and the rest of the story should be addressed among those two men, Instructor Killstreak," Helena placed her hands behind her waist as she explained it promptly.

"Wait, your savior? Don't tell me you are referring to that irregular?" I fazed out. "Yes, he is the savior I've been referring to," Helena nodded.

I rubbed my face, from my forehead to my chin.

"My goodness, everything is connected, huh? No wonder he ended up in that state," I smiled. "Excuse me. What do you mean?" Helena was confused. "My apologies. I don't mean to make you out of place, but I'm referring to the corpse of the B-class criminal named Zuelo the Gunning Man," I responded briefly.

Her eyes opened wide in shock.

"That person is my last target. I heard from my dad that he died in the Fly High Institute this morning. He was brutally killed by my savior," Helena turned serious as she said it. "Fuck yeah, I knew it. I was right again. I knew it was him. I will definitely add it to his achievements right away," I cheered with a guts pose.

The princess stepped back in surprise.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I don't mean to startle you," I apologized. "No, it's fine. You're not the only one who reacted the same way too," Helena simpered with her eyes closed.

"So, where is Holmer by the way? I don't see him here," I inquired looking behind her. Hoping to see him in person again. "I'm sorry, but he hasn't come home yet," Helena shook her head horizontally with a lonely face.

"Man, that's too bad. I thought I could meet him right now," I scratched a hand on my head. "You don't have to worry. He will come back. The mission is already completed. I mean, our mission is already done. He will soon come back in this house when he is done with other important things, I believe," Helena assured.

"So you added him to your party list. I'm very surprised to hear that from you. The princess who loves to act solo formally eventually formed a party with an irregular. That's impressive. Well done," I clapped a hand to compliment her. "Uh, eh, thank you. Thank you very much, Instructor Killstreak," Helena scratched her cheeks with a blushing face.

'Holmer Aldnoa is an interesting guy. He is a hidden gem of this world. I'm glad to meet him!' I simpered.

"Do you want some tea? I will prepare it now," Helena offered. "Yes, please," I sat down on a single-seat chair as I accepted.

"Sis, sis, the princess has found a new puppy in the episode. Look, look, oh," a little girl halted her advance and ran back to the living room. "Oh, hey. Hey, wait up. I'm not a bad guy, little one," I tried to tell her, but she was scared to meet me again.

The princess arrived with a cup of tea in her hand.

"Oh, you finally meet Latisa. You don't have to worry, sir. She's just a bit shy to meet a new visitor," Helena offered the cup. "Oh, I understand. Thanks for the tea," I raised the cup to show my gratitude.

I was about to take a sip, but suddenly I snapped in surprise.

'The... The princess offered me a cup of tea. The young prodigy who is known for her narcissism made tea and offered it to me. Un... Unbelievable!' I faltered.

"Ms. Adrielled, you've changed," I mumbled. "Umm, what? I'm still myself, sir," Helena was astonished.

"No, what I meant is your personality. Your aura of self-importance has no longer there. You've changed in a blink of time, milady," I explained. "Eh? Eeeh? In what way? I don't understand. I don't really understand it, but thank you for your compliment," Helena flustered upon hearing it.

"I am ambivalent about whether to say this or not, but I should be. As your instructor, you should stay humble whoever they are. Remember that. You know what? You're more approachable when you are like this. Keep it this way, milady," I advised. "Y-y-yes, sir. I will," Helena shook her head vertically.

"By the way, when did you change?" I asked. "I, I, I don't know. Maybe it happened during the Samoa incident or when my dad taught me a valuable lesson in life. What I learn about this week is, I shouldn't think highly of myself too much. The world is vast and there are people stronger than me. That's why I've been enlightened," Helena explained as she clutched her hands between her chest.

"That's good to hear," I smiled. "Not only that, my savior is always there for me. He taught me a lot of things to value in this world," Helena closed her eyes as she reminisce something inside her head.

"What did you learn from him?" I inquired. "I learned to stop relying on my magic. I glimpsed a power that neither the Sages nor Alchemist could explain. His mysterious power is so elegant, you see. He demonstrated it to me, but I still couldn't comprehend the logic behind it," Helena exulted, pumping her hands in delight.

'Magnificent discovery. We need him in our city!' I gritted my teeth in delight.

I pulled out my phone and dialed the HR department.

"Hello, I want you to search for a name, Holmer Aldnoa," I commanded. "Excuse me? Holver Arnoa?" the male HR faltered. "No, no, it is Holmer Aldnoa. The two names pronounce differently, dumbass," I chided.

"I'm sorry, sir. I will give you his information. Give me a minute," the male HR apologized. "Good, I'll be waiting. Don't keep me hanging, okay? Good day," I hung up and took a sip of my tea.

'Hmm, delicious. This is why tea is the best drink in the world!' I simpered.

An hour later.

A vehicle arrived outside of the gate.

"Oh, they are here," Helena stood up on her chair and headed for the door. Latisa rushed out of her room and went down the stairs with smiling teeth. She tugged the hem of the princess and stood beside her.

Two men entered the gate and moved closer to the door. Then, one of them opened it.

"Welcome back, my savior!" Helena placed a hand on her chest in respect. "Welcome. Home. Daddy!" Latisa embraced her father.

"My dear, have you eaten yet?" the father asked. "No, but I'm not hungry, dad," Latisa smiled.

"That's good. By the way, your mommy won't come home. There is a storm hitting the state she was staying at. She won't come home today," the father apologized. "It's fine, daddy. It's fine," Latisa understood.

"Man, what a tiring day," Holmer rubbed a hand on his neck. "Oh, good job, my savior. Well done," Helena congratulated him.

The two of them blinked their eyes twice.

"What did I do?" Holmer inquired. "Didn't you just get the job done? What kind of job she is talking about, buddy?" the father was confused. "I don't know either," Holmer was also confused.

"Oh, there is someone who wanted to meet you again, my savior," Helena grabbed his hand and dragged him inside the living room. "Hey, hey, stop it. I can walk," Holmer tried to resist, but he couldn't.

She released him and introduced me. His eyes opened wide in surprise.

"You...," Holmer was about to say something. "Hey, what's up? Remember me, Holmer?" I smiled. "You... What is your name again?" Holmer asked. "Rick Bond, mate. It's Rick Bond," I extended a hand to be shaken.

He accepted my hand and shook it.

"Oh, good day. What brings you here?" Holmer inquired. "I come here for you," I responded.

"Eeh?" Holmer tilted his head to the side with a confused face. "I come here to escort both of you back to the Freedom City," I explained, smiling.

Helena was happy to hear it. I was very sure he would react the same.

"I don't understand. Elaborate, Sir Bond," Holmer spluttered. "According to your record, you were looking for a job, right? If you come with us, I will offer you a job," I proposed.

"How much is the salary you were offering?" Holmer inquired. "About five hundred," I raised five fingers.

His face raised a serious eyebrows and glared at me with doubt.

"Man, only five hundred bucks? I'm sorry, but find someone else," Holmer snorted. "What are you talking about? It's five hundred thousand US dollars," I corrected.

He flinched upon hearing it.

"Instructor, that's too cheap!" Helena complained. "My apologies," I hung my head down.

'I'm sorry. I know it is cheaper than the average. I know you are disappointed about it. But that's the only thing I can offer right now. You're a fellow hunter with zero records in the service panel. So it will take time to convince them to increase it. Therefore, I understand if you rejected it,' I heaved a tiring sigh.

Suddenly, he grabbed my hands instantly. Then, he shook it with smiling teeth.

"This Holmer Aldnoa accepted the offer. I'm in," Holmer turned into a cub upon hearing it.

'Eeh? You accepted it despite the offer was cheap? My goodness, you' re... you' re too kind. What... What... What a humble man!' I was amused.
