Chapter 10: [10] Tournament (5)

Finally it the final wave for the second round. We did our normal routine as usual. I cook beef stew for Lena. Trap are not necessary for boss monster as they tend to be a single one. 

While i bought some stuff from the system shop. Including the Traveler sword. The sword is pretty sharp with steel as it base.

And bunch of mana potion for the mana. So i can keep the magic weapon forever as i want to unless i have the necessary Mana.

The boss monster has appeared in the middle of plain forest. The boss monster is a massive dragon without the wing available. It has two long horn from the head. Scales that shine like fire. It height about 2x Earth dragon stack together. It certainly is a massive monster.

[System Extra Note: Everything about it is Dangerous. The only advantage you have is speed.]

It stat are insane! And the skill is way too overpowered. As system said the only i advantage i have is speed. Drake are slow generally as they tend to be lazy to even move around with their huge body. 

I began to think of a plan. I ask Lena to prepare a strong magic attack with all of her mana. 

"You can count on me Bro!"

I began to strength myself with all of the buff i have available.

*Strengthen, Hardened Scales, Warrior Fury, Haste, Enchanted Aura!*

I powered myself to charge myself into the drake core or heart in the middle of the body. The plan is centered about the Last Defence skill. I need it huge buff to kill it within 1m. 

[It weakness are the same as the earth dragon. It horn are the main source of power.]

I take a deep breath before i charge myself into the huge monster. It was a risky plan. I prepared my newly acquired traveler sword and charge at the body of the drake. 

The drake spotted me and focus it skill on me as i carefully dodge all of it. I jumped to the legs and climb up on the drake scales. The drake was getting irritated by this and shake his body to shook me off. I climbed even faster and the drake was so enraged to already do meteor shower on my location!

3 Big fiery ball went down from the sky. They are coming at my direction. I frantically jump over and over to dodge the meteor and it big splash attack. The used to be greenery on the ground become fiery hell in a instance as the tree burned immediately. As expected of bloodline of the dragon! It too overpowered.

The explosion didn't effect Lena in a single bits because she has her shield up all time with all the mana potion i gave her. I have 6 SC Left due to buying alot of mana potion. There was a function where you can sell your item to the System. I gain 1 SC just from 1 bowl of Stew and 10 SC from 1 pot of stew.

[It was all delicious! Definitely worth it]

I jump with all my might on top the body. It was easy due to my strong legs. The fire drake roar loudly and summon even more meteor shower on me! I rush to get rid of it horn filled with mana and concentrated my mana on a single enchanted sword slash on the horn. It only make it 10% way through the horn. The horn hardness is absurdly stronger than the earth dragon!

[The earth dragon you fight on the trial was a lower level than this fire drake]

The horn began forming a fire cannon on me and shot it at me. I barely dodged it due to how close i was. I still got injured and drank a healing potion to heal it. 

[You gained the passive skill of fire resistance D!]

Do i get this type of skill whenever i came in contact with the respective element like i got poison resistance from the cerberus back then?

"Bro! I has reached my limit!"

Lena shouted from below.

"Shoot it at the horn!"

"Yes bro!"

Lena scant the word in order to release it and finally shooted the super condensed mana spike at the horn. The drake feel a abnormally powerful mana power making it look like intensely.

*Crack*

In a second. The horn was flung off the body in a second. 

"It your turn now.."

Lena fall over in exhaustion. Thank you Lena i will not waste this opportunity. The fire drake was panicking when it horn was detached. I decided this was the best time to destroy it core once for all. I got down from it body and slide off the scale until i was at the stomach level. 

*Precise Aiming, Enchanted Aura, Warrior Fury, Magic weapon*

I formed a magic bow and arrow that is made with my mana. I aim it at the monster core while it still distracted.

The arrow penetrated the drake scales to the core making it scream in pain and running mindlessly everywhere. Until it finally died after wreaking havoc on the forest below. Wow it actually easier than the earth worm for some reason.

A gate appeared after we defeated it. I piggyback the exhausted Lena back to the gate. Bright light shine upon me again to see every of the tribe contestant came out. Everyone was looking at me weirdly. Until the announcer announce something.

"Green Scales managed to clear the boss wave. Congratulation Green scales for making it to the 1st Place!"

No way?? we are the first one to even complete it. Then what about the other?

[WOOO]

"Black Claw is in the 2nd place for defeating the 2nd wave. And was defeated by the boss"

"Blue Teeth is in the 3rd place for defeating the 2nd wave and surrender on the boss wave."

"Yellow Tail is in the 4th place for defeating the 1st wave. And they lost by the earthworm"

"Red Horn is in the last place for losing on the 1st wave!"

The other tribe glare at me fiercely. They was shock to see how the weakest tribe get the 1st ranking on both the round.

Anyway we are instructed to go back to the hut. I let's Lena rest for the time being and train myself outside the hut. 

* At ??? *

"Here is the winner ranking. This time is the Green scales again"

The black lizardman took the paper and take a look at it carefully.

"Interesting to see the use to be weakest tribe win both of these round. And that made it a threat to our reputation who was recognize to win every tournament."

The black lizardman stand up

"From now on. Killing Lacertus and his partner is our top priority. We must cut their growth before it too late!"

"Yes sir!" 

The 3 black lizardman disappear to thin air once again.

"You will pay for this humiliation! I will make sure to kill you in the Team battle."

"Just you wait"

A massive grin appeared on the black lizardman face

* Back at the boi *

Lena wake up from her sleep after i gave her some mana potion. And i gave her some meat stew which she accept it gratefully.

"You did a great job there Lena!"

"Thank you!"

"The next round is gonna be team battle. We need to work harder or else the other tribe will gang up to defeat us"

"Yes big bro!"

The rest of the day was training, eating, And resting to prepare for the next day.
