Chapter 6: [6] Tournament (1)

Before the tournament. I trained harder than usual. And as a reward for my hard work. I gain 5 level making me to level 40. And as a bonus. I got a new skill and passive skill on top of it. 

[Haste D: Increase user speed for a period amount of time. Duration: 1m]

Feeling satisfied. I finally end the day with me sleeping. 

And finally the day of the tournament started. Every of the contestant are transported in a wooden carriage to the area where the tournament take place. A pretty big land of plain. Before i left. I met up with Lena and i wave goodbye to my parent and the member of my tribe. With my father tearing up a bit. A wooden carriage was sent to pick us up. We get in with Lena and after 4 Hour of traveling to the place where the tournament take place. During the hour i was speaking with the still shy Lena. 

"Uhh. Lena what is your skill ?"

Lena stare at me. 

"Umm. I can Buff, Heal, and do magic attack at the same time."

She seem pretty strong but why is she so shy? Is she really that shy with talking to people. 

"Okay Lena. Don't be scared okay? i got your side. Don't be shy talking to me"

Lena look down again and stare at me again. Clenching her hand.

"Okay Lacertus. Thank you" 

Lena look at the window again with blush forming on her lizard cheek.

[*Love Whistle SFX* Look like someone is flirting right now]

I took a look at Lena information while she is not paying attention

[Name : Lena ]

[ Class: Mage / Healer]

[Age: 6]

[Level : 19]

[Status: Nervous ] 

[ Skill : Fireball D, Lightning storm C, Mana aura D, Icicle D, Heal D, Attack buff D, Shield C]

[Passive Skill: Rapid mana regeneration]

[ Physical Strength: E ]

[ Magic Strength : B]

She has quite some good skill. Especially she have the passive of Rapid mana regeneration. She has the potential on becoming the best mage. One thing that bother me is that she is lower level than me.

[It because you train way more and gain more level by that way.]

Lena saw me looking at her intensely. She was scared and frightened like im some kind of pervert.

Hmm this is getting awkward. I better the clear misunderstanding before it get even more awkward.

"I uh was just looking at the window behind you"

"Okay"

[That was a terrible lie yo]

The whole hour was super awkward and we didn't talk for the rest of the trip after that.

Back at the present. We finally arrive at the tournament where 8 more contestant from their respective tribe.

[God damn. This place is huge]

We walk through the gate made with wood and large bone with rag on top them. While we are walking minding our business. A lizardman from the Black Claw began approaching us.

"So this is the loser tribe member that will lose the tournament every year?"

[Man. I already hate him already. Beat him up on the tournament]

Apparently his name is Blade. He keep mocking us trying to get our attention. I whispered to Lena ear.

"Ignore him. He is not worth paying attention too."

"Okay"

We walk to the entrance not paying a single eye contact with Blade. He was getting pretty irritated by this. 

"How dare you lowly tribe people ignore me!"

He throw his fist against my face just for me to block it with my hands.

"What are you doing?"

I stare him intensely in the eye as i said it. His face started to go pale just looking at my eye. Until the planner arrive breaking the fight.

"Now now. Lets not fight right now here?"

The planner was a bulky lizardman from the black claw tribe. He look at me with his golden eye. His pressure was far more stronger than my father by twofold. Lena was hiding behind me scared.

His mood suddenly change.

The lizardman turn around and took the foaming Blade with him. I took this chance to analyse him.

I agree with you. I still need to be careful around him. Who know maybe his partner has some trump card. But after that. Nothing happened and we arrive at the main hall. Where a bunch of lizardman from every tribe gather. A lizardman from the green claw clan approach use. 

"Hello i am Connar. I will be your representative. Nice to meet you Lacertus. I heard about your great achievement in the trial"

Could that be the reason why i got so many stare from the other lizardman?

"Nice to meet you Connar. As you have said my name. I will be in your care!"

"Ahh and who is that mage next to you?"

"Her name is Lena. Lena introduce yourself to Connar"

"My name is Lena! I will be partner with Lacertus. Nice to meet you! "

"Nice to meet you Lena. From now on, you both will be under my care. Now follow me"

Lena and Me follow him to the a big area where 2 house are visible with a training ground.

"The first match will start tomorrow. So train hard and rest. Well then i will be leaving now."

Connar left the area shortly after. Lena ask me

"Will we win the tournament? I don't know if i can do it."

"Believe in yourself. You never know until we try!"

Hearing those motivation word. Lena spirit was full of motivation.

"Yeah i shouldn't give up before we try it first!"

[Im sure you both will be a great couple]

Stop ruining the mood system like seriously.

[Okay :(]

"Lets train together Lena!"

"To-Together??"

Lena face become red in a instant upon hearing the word Together. Is there something wrong about the word of Together?

"Okay."

[Bro got a girl in a matter of second]

Her face is still reddish. I took her to the training ground. I teach her some of the efficient way to use magic correctly.

"There. Like that"

I show her my way of using magic. Lena was fascinated by it and ask me how do i know this fact.

"Hmm uhh. I was taught by this from my teacher."

And the non existence teacher was the system. Lena was able to get 3 level by doing the whole ordeal.

[I did great job right?]

Lena was able to learn all of it quickly. She has a good memory to able learn all of it in a matter of hour. Lena was tired of using too many mana. So i took her to the house and lets her take rest while i still train because i have a bunch of stamina left. After i exhausted my stamina. I ended the day with getting 2 level today. 

Im sure the next day will be peaceful right?
