Chapter 7: [7] Tournament (2)

Today the day for the matches to begin. All the contestant all require to go the main hall and gather with a trial infront of them. The trial consist of monster and boss. The fastest that clear the trial winner will be placed on ranking. With the 1st place the highest point of 25. While the 5th place will be given point of 5. The tournament consist of 3 Round. 1st round will be about killing monster. 2nd round  will be about survival against wave of monster. 3rd round will be about team battle where we fight each other in team. 

We are asked to stay in front of the trial. The tournament was held outside. Every of the tribe has line up including Blade who is glaring at me fiercely for embarrassing him in public last time. I didn't pay much attention to Blade glare since i prioritize how to win first of all.

The announcer stand up.

"Welcome to all the tribe contestant! This round will be about killing monster. The most kill will gain the highest ranking while the lowest will gain the lowest ranking. Good luck to all of you!"

The bystander watches in cheer. All the other contestant has gone in before us. Lena was pretty nervous with this. Lena wasn't sure if she will be any help to me. I sigh and got on my knee.

"Don't be nervous. I promised you that we will win together. Get your hope up! Let's do this together Lena."

Lena got her spirit light up again and is filled with determination. Lena smiled 

"Yes big bro! Let's win this!"

Oh yeah. Lena now call me big bro now. I mean it not like i hate it. It rather feel very nice. I smiled back.

"Now let's go!"

[Power of friendship! Activated] 

We walked through the portal. The bright light that was from the lizardman trial shine upon my eye. When i opened my eye. We are in lush forest where a bunch of stronger monster appeared. Lena was still dizzy in my laps. I began to detect every monster near us.

[System Extra note: Easy to defeat but don't underestimate it skill. They are pretty annoying]

The monster is so much stronger than in the trial. They have pretty dangerous skill too. Lena is way too under level for these monster. 

Lena wake up to see my face while she is in my lap. She quickly get up from my laps and her face began getting red even more.

"Uhh let's forget that never happen okay. Lena do you have any Aoe Magic ?"

"I think i have one. It called lightning storm?"

My current place is to lure the monster to my trap and have Lena strike them with aoe magic. With her passive of faster mana regeneration those monster will burn to a crisp. Since i renew her magic technique. It 2x more powerful with the technique i teach her.

"I got a plan Lena. You need to go stay on that tree. I will rule the monster to me and make them fall on a hole and you strike them with aoe magic. You can do this right?"

Lena nod "Yes i can do this. But isn't that dangerous big bro? They look pretty scary just by looking at them."

"Don't worry im durable to withstand those attack. They barely scratch me."

"Okay big bro. I trust you"

We separated. I am digging a hole for my plan to work. With Lena preparing to launch aoe magic on top a tree near the hole. After i finished the hole. I got to work.

[Oh by the way. I got a new function! I think it called Minimap or something]

"Perfect timing system. Atleast you are less useless now."

[Hey! You are so damn rude. Hmph]

"Ha ha it just a joke system. You always been useful since day one. I wouldn't not be alive right now if you weren't here."

[Hmph. Of course! Im the best system you ever need] 

System was flexing himself brightly. While he is off flexing himself i look at the mini map. It have alot of red dot and a blue arrow over the map. The red dot appeared to be the enemy position and the blue arrow is my current position. I can see how many enemy there are in specific area. The mini map was kinda big in length. 

Afterward i got all the monster in my direction attention and all of them began chasing me. I was faster than them so i can outrun them instead. When i have good amount of monster following me. I went back to the place where the hole located. 

As expected the monster followed me without looking at their surrounding. I prepared to jump before i reached the hole and woosh. I was able to arrived at the other side safely. The monster all fell one by one. 

"Lena! It your time to shine"

Lena nod in a distance " Yes big bro!"

Lena began chanting the necessary word in order to use Lightning storm

"Lightning god. Please strike the sinner with your mighty lightning strike until there nothing was left. Lightning Storm!"

The cloud began to turn darker with lightning start forming in the sky above the hole. The monster try to escape but failed miserably. The monster was later burn to a crisp and to ashes.

I gained 7 level totaling me to 48 Level. I leveled up way too fast ! I think i will pass my father in a month or so. And Mana Weapon is amazing incase the worst scenario where my weapon broke in the middle of the fight. Paying Mana is no problem since i less likely to use it regardless. 

"Big bro! I level up quite a bit. "

It seem Lena also level up too. Lena was happily dancing before she forget that she is standing on a branch before she fall off. Anyway Detect!

Hmm this is exactly what a system shop should look like. A bunch of useful goodies on the shop. So why is there food recipe on the shop? I will do something later about it. I need to focus on winning the round. I wake up Lena and do the same plan all over and over again. With me getting 2 More level making me to level 50 and Lena getting 3 More level making her to level 37 at the result. Until the Trial ended and all contestant wall pulled out. The announcer step up to reveal the highest kill.

"Lets announce who has the highest kill. The 1st place is..."

The announcer was lost for word looking at the paper.

"Green scales.. with 800+ Kill"

The whole audience was silence immediately. Even i was lose for word to think we won. I lost count after the 3rd try. Even the used to be proud Blade make him dropped his jaw when he heard it. Some even try to say it the elder mistake or we cheated.

"It has to be a mistake right? There is no way the weakest tribe can reaches the first ranking."

"Yeah it too impossible! Unless they cheated!"

The announcer sigh.

"The elder never make a mistake ever. And we have magic orb that act as a surveillance of each team. It impossible for them to cheat while under surveillance"

The whole audience was shocked for word and finally stop asking question. The rest of the ranking was revealed

2nd: Black claw with 678 Kill

3rd: Yellow Tail with 541 Kill

4th: Red Horn with 498 Kill

5th: Blue Teeth with 477 Kill

After that all of the audience left. And we are sent back to our respective ground. 

* From a different room perspective*

"Boss. This is the recent 1st Place."

The mysterious lizardman send a letter. The big blackish lizardman took the level and opened it.

"Hmm Lacertus? Someone from a measly weakest tribe was able to pass the Black Claw? This is getting interesting. This is a incredible individual"

"Should we kill him right away?"

The big lizardman shake his head.

"Not yet. Let's wait for him if he managed to win the 2nd Round and we will kill him secretly with his partner. So my son can make the Tribe proud once again"

"By your order!"

The mysterious lizardman disappear into thin air. The only one in the room is the big lizardman.

"Lacertus.. I wonder if you can handle assassin that after your head?"
