Chapter 8: [8] Tournament (3)

New day new round for the tournament. This time the round is about surviving against wave of monster. You need to prepare your own food and construct a defence to protect against the wave. There are 3 wave total which each wave getting stronger. Until the 5th wave of a boss monster. The ranking are determined by how fast they killed the monster.

We are called to the trial as usual. The announcer does his job. Although im getting more glare lately from the other tribe. It making me freak out seriously.

[They are jealous about you]

"Time for a new round! This round where you need to survive against 5 wave of monster which each wave get stronger until you reached the 5th wave that have a strong boss monster. In this round you need to prepare your own food and defence."

The lizardman cheered. 

"Now. Lets start the round! All respective constentant go to their own trial. I wish you all good luck!"

We touch the trial gate and i was still not used to the bright light after i entered the dungeon. I open my eye to see a forest infront of me. Lena was able to wake up faster. 

"Let's go Lena. Time is important"

"Okay"

We travel through the deep forest and set out our base on the outskirt of the forest. I prepare a wall with thorn all over it. While Lena is preparing the trap outside of the base. We were able to finish it before the first wave started. A bunch of red dot appeared close and far away from us. I act as the close attacker and Lena act as the ranged attacker. 

A bunch of different monster appear. Be it undead,jackal, crystal boar, blue sapphire snake, werewolf, hound, ogre and goblin approaching us. 

Lena hurriedly climb up an tall tree in the middle of the barrier and began casting magic on the surrounding enemy. I use detect on the 2 enemy that i haven't seen.

[Goblin]

[Skill: Archery D, Stealthy E, Haste F]

[Physical Strength: F]

[Magic Strength: F]

[System extra note: Very weak on it own but can support other by shooting far away]

[Ogre]

[Level: 20]

[Skill: Club Smash D, Club Throw D, Strengthen E]

[Magic Strength: F]

[System extra note: Can knockback even the heaviest monster. It Club smash can destroy a patch of grass in second]

[Jackal]

[Level: 25]

[Skill: Fire arrow D, Feral E, Sword slashes D]

[Physical Strength: D]

[Magic Strength: E]

I began enchanting myself with a bunch of buff.

*Strengthen! Hardened Scales! Warrior Fury! Enchanted Aura! Haste!*

[Super Saiyan Mode!]

I can feel my power rose up to the highest i can with my current skill and ability. I used the skill warrior cry to lower their defence.

*ROARRR*

[Show them the power! ]

The warrior cry skill depicted as loud roar from my own mouth. I dashed forward killing the biggest threat which included the goblin and the jackal. It better to kill the rear first before the front line. The monster tried to catch up on me but i was faster than their movement altogether. 

After determined that i have eliminated the goblin and the jackal. I now focus on defeating the ogre and the werewolf. They were killed very much easily. 5 strike can kill them. I shouldn't underestimated these monster defence now. I was still using my rusty dagger. When i have to face a enemy one by one. I use my spear to do the job.

Lena POV

Lena was fine for a while. She constantly lose mana everytime she use magic the whole time so her mana drain faster than she regenerate them back. I prepared alot of mana potion on her bag so she wouldn't exhausted herself. While she is casting on her direction. The monster who were not facing fall into the lightning trap set by Lena. Additionally the wall act as a barrier and push them to the trap.

Around 75% of the monster has died so far. We were able to clear wave 1 pretty easily although a bit exhausted. I bought some healing potion and drank some clearing my exhaustion.

[Good job Sebastian]

"Big bro! you did so great back there!"

Lena eye was filled with glittery on her eye. She was amazed at my attack really much.

"You did a good job too holding back with your magic."

I patted Lena face without her knowing shocking Lena in the process. Lena face start to become red. 

"Ehe" 

[Caught in 4k]

"I will prepare the food while you prepare the fire. Lets rest here for tonight since the wave will begin in the next morning"

I also got another function which is space inventory. It essentially a portable backpack where you can bring anything with you. I could stuff like anything here! 

I come out of the hiding spot and gather the edible monster remain that consist of normal boar and horned rabbit. I bringed them all back to the hiding spot. I almost forgot i can buy the item Food recipe in the system shop. I bought it and 5 paper appeared infront of me and i grabbed it.

"Lets me see?"

[Beef Stew]

[Pizza]

[Curry]

[Soup]

[Chocolate ]

Ah i missed beef stew back at home. The question is. How will i get the necessary ingredient for the recipe? I can easily carve utensil for myself.

[Ho oh this is where i shine once again. To be exact i can identified even plants too! Try it out with your detect skill]

After learning i can actually use my detect skill on plants or non living object. I goes out further to get all the necessary ingredient to make beef stew. I was able to find the world equivalent of vegetable oil. I plucked some sour fruit tree that i spotted. The sour fruit will act as a replacement of vinegar. I grabbed some edible greenery thank to the detect skill or else i would be poisoned already if i hasn't know there would be this many poisonous plants here.

I make the utensil and tool in order for this to work. So I brought all of the necessary ingredient and tool back to the base. Lena was pretty confused seeing these many item. 

"Big bro! What are those for?"

"Ah. This is for cooking"

"I can cook! Lets me try"

Lena grabbed my dagger and began putting random stuff in it without any care on this world. 3 Minutes later. The food was finished, but it smell like a corpse flower. The texture weren't good either. On top of the supposed food has bubble popping with purplish color. With death all written over the Soup!

"Have a taste big bro!"

Lena force down the poisonous  soup onto my mouth. I had to eat it or else i will broke her feeling. And i ended up eating the whole thing.

"Big bro did you like it?"

[The soup look like something from hell! Blegh]

I was disgusted by the texture and taste making me wanna vomit alot. 

"Ye- s, i Like it *Blegh* "

My face was starting to go purple just from the horrific taste. 

"Lena, i need to go back getting more ingredient okay. wait here"

"Okay big bro" Lena Nod

I quickly get as far from her direction and vomit all of them out. And that why you shouldn't let's a lizardman cook!!

[I would do so too if i were force to eat that]

I was able to get all of it out from my system. I better not to lets Lena cook ever again! I came back and did a fake cough.

"Let's me take over the cooking from now on okay?"

"Sure. I wanna know how brother cooking taste!"

I sigh and bring out the tool and utensil first. I put the Clay pot on top the fire fill with water inside. I set it to boil until i determine it was hot enough and add the boar meat inside to boil for few minutes. After the boar meat was brownish outside. I transfer them to a plate to chill down. While i left it to chill down. I prepared to make the vegetable. I added oil with some bay leaves, Garlic replacement and Tomato on to the pot. I stir it up for 1 minutes total until it was fragrant and nice. Even Lena start to drool uncontrollably from the fragrant smell. 

*The taste of home!*

I let's the beef simmer for a hour. But Lena make it way more faster than the estimated time of 1 hour. I added some carrot and potato chunk to the pot and i was able to find them surprisingly. After they have broken down by the heat. I added the stew and it was ready.

I faced Lena with her mouth drooling everywhere and ask

"Hey Lena wanna try it ou-

I was interrupted by Lena grabbing it before i can even finished and ate the whole thing in minutes!

"This is so delicious! How did you learn how to cook!"

Lena eye was fill with sparkle. 

[Congratulation! You have made the first Magic Food]

Magic food? What is that?

[To simplify it. It where a person cook a food containing magic inside them. It could happen within the ingredient or the process. It will grant the consumer magic or strength]

Interesting. I think i can level me up even faster and make Lena more stronger if i keep making this. 

[Now please let's me taste it :(]

*You can't taste anything? So how will you even eat?*

[Simple. Put the food on your space inventory.]

*Okay?*

I put some of the stew inside the space pocket and wait for the system response.

[...]

[This is so god damn delicious!! It so savory! I can't get enough. Bring me more of this!] 

Chill down. I haven't even ate and all of you already trying to eat everything. As i looked back to see my beef stew to find it all gone. And the obvious culprit was the chubby Lena lying on the ground.

"So delicious. Ahh sorry Bro. It was simply too delicious for me to eat everything to in the pot."

[NOOO MY STEW! YOU GOD DAMN LIZARD]

*Don't forget about me here. First of all i was the one that made this. Second of all stop being a god damn Pig! I haven't even tasted my hard work. *

I began walking to the chubby lena on the ground. And prepared my fist with scary eye.

"Big bro im sorry! Please don't hit me"

"You asked for it"

I clenched my fist even harder and

*AHHHH* 

A loud scream was heard from everywhere.
