Title skills:

True Prodigy Lvl

It's been five years since the skirmish at the village. It was hard at first but I learned how to survive. Everything was probably a lot easier thanks to earth and fire magic. My stats are getting high as I suspected they would with that title skill. It is my birthday and I seemed to have unlocked classes? This world is getting weirder by the day. I click yes when it prompts me to select a class.

Class selection options:

Archery Apprentice

Blacksmith Apprentice

Weapons Trainee

Mage Apprentice

Hmm... Guess I'll go through each class and see their benefits.

Archery Apprentice

Description:

You have learned the basics of archery. The Archery skill is easier to level up. Speed and accuracy of arrows is slightly increased.

The description is the same with the other apprentice type classes. However there is one that interest me.

Weapons Trainee

Description:

This is a hidden class. You have basic knowledge of all types of weaponry known to currently exist. Proficiency with all weapons recognized by the system is increased.

This sounds promising. Let me ask the system something first.

"Does the system recognize guns as a weapon?", I ask. This would be an obvious question in my previous life. But, considering that this world hasn't seen a gun before it might not be recognized.

Scanned memories of the host reveals extensive damage cause by a "gun". The system now recognizes guns as weapons.

I don't like the idea of it scanning my memories but, after hearing it say yes I immediately confirm Weapons Trainee for my class.

I feel a surge of power in my body after confirming my choice. I check my appearance in a mirror I created using earth magic. I notice my shoulders are a bit more broad. Besides that nothing seemed to change.

I loved living in my forest home. I travelled into the forest for about two months before building this home of mine. I had built a one story house out of concrete and layered it with a layer of black paint like substance to reflect heat. The kitchen floor looked tiled. It has a living room and bedroom with the floors lined with rabbit fur.  It was also complete with a basement that I used to store materials.

I stretch my arms and legs out. I'm going to need to test out what this did to my archery skills and I'm also going to start getting ready to leave this place. Although I'd like to stay here, I don't know how far or close I am it human or beastman habitation.

When I left the smoldering village behind I contemplated my options. I came to conclusion that becoming an adventurer was the only option. It had several benefits I could conduct research into the countries of this world and perhaps figure out what or who brought me here. I don't like this world sure, but I got along with the people of my old world just fine. Even though my appearance has changed quite a bit I can play it off as cosplay if I get back. I have no doubt that discrimination against my race will continue as I continue to stay here. I still enjoy human interaction and social celebrations. The majority of people in my previous world has stopped judging, or at least kept thier thoughts to themselves.  This world is nowhere near the same or tolerable for me to live in such a place where those opinions are accepted. I'd rather live in a society where I'm not judged like that the majority of the time.

I'll use my adventurer status to travel this world in search of an answer for my reincarnation. If I can find the reason I was reincarnated perhaps I can also find a way back to my original world. However, if I can't go back I will isolate myself somewhere and mess around with ridiculous magical weaponry.

Grinning from excitement I head out of my bedroom to grab some dry rabbit meat I stored in an ice box. I was able to focus on the particles in the air in it and slow it down. It's not ice magic apparently. It's earth magic. Don't ask me how it works. It also doesn't dispell as long as I have MP it takes 10 MP an hour and my mana Regeneration allows me to regenerate 20,000 MP an hour. It's a welcome convenience to store food.

I grab two pieces of dried rabbit meat and heat them up with fire magic. I pop them into my mouth, grab my bow, and head out the door to the training area. I say training area but, it's just an open field with metal targets scattered about. This bow isn't the one my mother made me. It's one that I made and I'm proud of it. It's slick black and modern looking. It's made from a lightweight magnesium and titanium alloy. The string is made from a giant spider. The arrows are made from a similar yet slightly lighter version of the magnesium and titanium alloy. I approach the middle of the training ground.

My goal is to hit all targets and see if my speed an accuracy changed at all.

I close my eyes as I'm only going to activate my Sniping and Archery skills. Sniping greatly improved my accuracy. And more mysteriously I had it since birth. Was it my years of experience shooting all kinds of guns carrying over? I activate the skills and shoot the targets. My body moves on its own as I already marked the places I wanted to hit in my mind when I activated the skill. This system called this skill correction. It was such a mysterious phenomenon to me. It wasn't magic persay and it wasn't muscle memory.  When I use a skill and don't attempt to move body to do the actions to perform it, the skill does the movements for me. It felt wierd at first and cost me a few injuries but I eventually got the hang of it.

When I finally open my eyes all the targets are hit. Or more importantly, on fire? I use my earth magic to smother fire in soil to put it out.

So it added magic to my arrows without my knowledge? Interesting. Glad it considers magic a weapon. Its not melting the arrow but making it hot enough to pierce through the metal target with ease. I look at the aftermath of my skill usage. The arrow pierced the target almost straight through. I used flaming arrows before but they never managed to pierce the metal targets. I did use them to practice my martial arts because my punches would obliterate the wooden ones I managed to make.

"Guess I'll need more practical experience", I can't help but smile as I say this. I love using my bow to hunt the monsters in this forest. However, with this I can probably take down the one that's been giving me the most grief. A wyvern has been killing some of the orcs for sport. It wouldn't be a problem if it was just killing and eating them. But this one seems to be poisonous. More specifically it's claws excrete a purple sticky substance that goes into the bloodstream of the victim and prevents any animal besides itself from eating it. When an animal rots in this world they seem to have a chance to turn undead. When the orcs turn undead thier vitality is shot through the roof. Because they already have high vitality in the first place, it is extremely hard to kill them.

"You made the mistake of inconveniencing me Mr. Wyvern", I said. The den of the wyvern is nearby, so I head in it's direction while activating my stealth skill. The wyvern hunts at night so it should be asleep. I see the cave opening where it sleeps and slowly make my way inside. I see a few crystals I've never seen or heard of before and feel some kind of power emanating from them.

I turn my attention away from them though and focus on the threat in front of me. I see the lizard is sleeping like a baby. Its purple in color with green stripes along it's body.

I nock an arrow and aim for it's eye. Im going to fire from an angle where the arrow can penetrate into it's brain. I conjure a fire magic spell with the image of a grenade in my mind. The arrow I nocked sets on fire with a blue flame. I release the arrow with zero hesitation.

The arrow hits is mark and the arrow goes right through the skull of the wyvern. The arrow pieces through and blows the wyverns head wide open. The blood got everywhere including me.

"Pfft. Seriously?" I was annoyed and amused at the same time. These guys are supposed to be the strongest enemies of mankind. Yet, this guy died to one arrow. Granted, it was asleep, but wouldn't high level creatures like this sense danger or mana?

I spend the rest of the day harvesting the materials from the wyvern. It was a pain because I had to drag pieces of this thing back to my home. When I finally finished harvesting it was already a new day so I went to sleep as soon as I stored everything away.

When I woke up a full day after I finished harvesting, I wanted to see if I could use the scales of this thing for something. I cant use modern looking armor in this world or I'll draw too much attention. Instead, I'll try my hand at creating it from monster materials. I didn't know exactly what was normal in this world, but I didn't want to go unprotected. My current armor was created from orc hide. It had the toughest skin of all the monsters around here so I used it to make it.

I pull out one of its scales and inspect it. It's stretchy so if it's used in conjunction with the normal fibers of my regular clothing it could look normal and could pass as normal clothing. I begin by activating my leather working skill, blacksmithing skill, and earth magic. I use my earth magic to directly manipulate the atoms in the soil to create the cloth that I need. Because everything on earth was composed of them I was able change the make up of anything including living organisms. Why didn't I use this god power on the wyvern? Well I wanted to kill it normally with a weapon I created. Also, who doesn't want to be a dragon slayer?

I accidentally destroy several scales while manipulating them but in exchange I gain a few levels in leatherworking and blacksmithing. I also gained the apparel skill. The image I had in mind was a dark blue robe covering my tail and only allowing my head to show.

I look at the final product and I was satisfied. It was just as I envisioned.

Your Blacksmithing skill has leveled up to level 5. You have gained the ability to appraise your own works.

"Hmm. Always nice to hear your voice system", I say back. I never got anything back. I do this to shave off some of my loneliness. I have been stuck in this forest for too long. I'm happy I will be leaving soon. Perhaps there might be decent people I'll meet on my journey home? I shake those thoughts out of my head and appraise my work.

Poison Wyvern Cloak (Epic)

Created by a master of earth magic, leatherworking, and apparel skills, this robe grants full protection from poison damage. This robe also grants the wearer high physical resistance.

"As expected I'm a genius hehe" I laugh to myself as a put it on. It fits perfectly and it's comfortable. It's like a soft onesie. I snuggle myself in the robe for a second before regaining my senses. There's one more thing I need to complete my disguise.

In the cave that I killed that wyvern there were crystals that seemed to have power coming from them. I would like to see if I could make a staff out of one of them. I'm thinking sense those crystals are part of the earth so I could shape it with ease. I head to the cave again and head inside.

I didn't notice this before but the cave was absolutely stunning on the inside. I tend to get too caught up in my objective to notice my surroundings. They're are crystals everywhere around here and they're are different colors as well. I pick out a large red crystal and pluck it from the wall with earth magic. I manipulate the crystal to float by my side to my house.

"Hmm. I'm gonna need a stick to balance you on", I said while looking at the crystal as I floated it on to my workbench. Monster materials seem to better to make weapons with. I've killed plenty of them and harvested their materials. I burned what I didn't use with lava though. I did kill these tree like monsters. There's one that I managed to kill soon after my seventh birthday. It was as large as a two story building. I had snapped off one it's large branches and burned the rest of the corpse.

I go to the basement and retrieve the branch. I look at my two materials and begin to work once again.

This time when I finished the final product it glowed marvelously. But before I could appraise it, enormous pain erupted from the area in my heart and I collapsed onto the floor.
