Several minutes of walking through the facility later I arrived at the front entrance with my robots trailing right behind me and once I was there I checked over my gear one last time before I then headed out of the front door that I had now replaced with a heavily armored blast door.

As soon as I was outside I pulled up my Pip-Boy map to check what route I wanted to take even though I can recall it visually in my head but the map could be updated at some point with new locations so I should check it whenever I can to make sure I don’t miss anything new.

A bit of time went by before I finished going over the map and deciding what route I wanted to take as well as checking the map for any new locations which there were none in the capital wasteland from what I could see, though there were a few new locations popping up across the planet as well as beyond it in space.

But the locations beyond the planet are not really something I need to be worried about since they’re not even in the solar system and they don’t appear to be military in nature from what I can tell.

As for the route I decided to go with taking a route that will have me go north back to the crossroads I came from originally and when I get there I will head east on the main road towards the Fairfax Ruins which should be raider controlled so I’ll be expecting quite a bit of raider resistance once I arrive in the vicinity of the ruins.

From there I’ll get on a smaller road that branches off from the Fairfax Ruins towards the south that then passes through another main road before branching off again towards the east passing in between the Red Racer Factory to the north and the location I want to get to VSS Facility to the south though it may be blocked with a ton ruble like it was in the game so I may need to find the Bailey’s Crossroads Metro entrance to get to it.

I might also encounter super mutants so I’ll be keeping Mulcher out for this whole trip unless I encounter a super mutant behemoth which in that case I pull back and see if I can't take it out with my Anti-Material Rifle loaded with APE rounds short for Armor Piercing Explosive rounds and if that doesn’t work I’ll retreat and see if wanders off if not I’ll have to come back with some heavier firepower.

Once I was done going over what route I was going to take as well as a bunch of hypotheticals, I made my way through the parking lot towards the road heading north. Ten minutes later I arrived at the intersection that I came from originally with my bots following right behind me and scanned the area for any potential danger. A couple of moments later I didn’t spot anything other than some feral dogs in the distance so I continued on towards the east following the main road.

10 Minutes later as I was moving towards the east down the road while also scanning my surroundings for any potential dangers I spotted a roaming group of super mutants so I issued a signal for my bots to hold up for a second so I could see what kind of super mutants we were dealing with as well what kind of weapons they had.

I then whipped out my Anti-Material Rifle and looked down its scope. A few seconds of observation later I saw I was dealing with a group of twelve sickly yellow-green super mutants 1,000 meters out, nine of which were normal super mutants from what I could tell, the other three were two larger brutes and an even larger super mutant master.

As for their gear, I could see the regular super mutants had six R91 Assault Rifles and three Type 93 Chinese Assault Rifles, the two brutes were using 5mm Miniguns and the super mutant master was using a Browning M2 50 caliber Machine Gun so he will be the one I’ll have to deal with first unless I want to risk taking a round that could easily rip through a good portion of my armor though the armor around my chest could probably prevent the round from penetrating but I’d rather not take the risk.

When I was done with that thought I took aim at the super mutant master's head and fired one shot off with my Anti-Material Rifle releasing a deafening gunshot. About a second later as I was chambering a new round I saw my shot was off by a smidge so I only managed to take a small chunk off the side of his head. As soon as I had the next round chambered I lined up another shot a split second later and pulled the trigger as the super mutants were starting to react to what just happened to the super mutant master who was most likely the group leader.

A brief second later I see my shot was on point this time around since the super mutant master’s head just popped like a watermelon being shot by a high caliber rifle and its body was starting to fall toward the asphalt. I then racked a new round into my Anti-Material Rifle as the group of super mutants were turning towards me since I didn’t have my suppressor on.

Once a new was chambered I put away my Anti-Material Rifle and swapped back over to my Mulcher gatling gun that was slung on me still and took aim at the group of super mutants. The group of super mutants then released a cacophony of battle cries before they then started charging over towards my position.

As soon as they started charging over I issued a command to my bots to get prone on the ground so they could reduce their size and make themselves as hard as possible to hit. When they were all prone I had them all start firing off their laser rifles at the charging mutants that were still quite a ways out.

30 Seconds later my robots had managed to take out five of the regular super mutants which was pretty good given the range they were at but the group of super mutants were beginning to get within the range that their weapons could start to do some damage and since I had a few round whizzing by me I should deal with the rest of them to prevent any issues from occurring such as damage to my robots or to myself.

I then pointed Mulcher in their general direction with my laser sight on the leading super mutant and spooled it before I then held the trigger for a few seconds releasing a storm of lead at a fire rate of 2,000 rpm.

*Brrrrrrt*

As I was firing I watched the bullets I was sending down range shredding the group bit by bit while also ripping chunks of flesh from their frames and from those holes I was putting in them I saw blood gushing from their bodies before they then finally fell over one by one.

When I assumed they were all dead I let go of the trigger and stopped spooling the gun and once the barrels of the gun stopped spinning a bit of smoke started being released out the end of the barrels after I had just finished firing off around 100 .308 rounds.

A moment later I said aloud with quite a bit of excitement in my voice “Damn this gun is a beast, I’ll definitely have to take my time going through the Fairfax Ruins so I have some more fun with it but let me go see if the guns they had are worth taking.”

I then sent a signal with mechu-deru to bots to get up from their prone positions and to follow me before I then made my way over to the super mutant corpses to see if they had anything of value worth taking with me.
