Time skip one year later
Well, I was happily sleeping to be woken up and blinded once again. “ Don’t look straight into the light, pal. You’ll hurt your eyes. It’s just something you get used to down here.” “Come on over here, son. Come on! Walk to daddy!” “Come to daddy”
Guess it’s time to do my acting job. *baby noises dada* “You can make it!” “There you go! My goodness! Just a year old, and already walking like a pro. Your mother would have been so proud. Listen kiddo I know you don’t like it when daddy leaves you alone, but I need you to take care of yourself for a minute. You just stay here while daddy runs to his office. You’ll be okay, pal I’ll be back in a bit.”
“About time he left me alone for a bit, haa”
A few seconds go by before an idea pops into my head.
“Hmm, I suppose I have enough time to get my hands on that special book since dad should be gone for a little while.”
I then open the lock on the playpen door and walk over to my toybox and start rummaging through it looking for the special book.
“Ahah I found it. Okay, let’s see what I’m working with here.” I open the book in my hands when a holographic screen suddenly appears in my vision showing my stats.
S.P.E.C.I.A.L:
Strength: 5
Perception: 5
Endurance: 5
Charisma: 5
Intelligence: 5
Agility: 5
Luck: 5
11 Points Left
Nice I got quite a few points I can spend now since I took the gifted trait. Okay I know I need to put extra points into intelligence to make up for the decrease in xp gain from skilled so I increased intelligence to 12.
Now that I have that squared away I’ll go from top to bottom, strength can be reduced since that will be one of my primary focuses while I’m living here in the vault. I will reduce it down to 1 since I should be able to increase my Strength through many different means such as weights/strength training, proper cultivation of mass/large amounts of protein and carbs, and possibly might be able to produce hormones/peds since the vault dwellers have to be able to produce their own meds here in the vault.
Another idea I’ve come up with is utilizing stimpaks for their accelerated healing to reduce recovery time for working out the same muscle groups. It could also have a benefit on increasing bone density since micro fractures when repaired increase bone density and it might also strengthen ligaments as well but it will take a while to see if that’s the case and I have to wait till I’m at an age where I can start weight training.

Perception is next on the list, after reducing strength to 1 I now have 8 points to spend, and since perception isn’t an easy thing to train so I’ll dump 5 points into that.
Moving on to Endurance, this is an easy one. I'll be making that a 10 since I will need the stamina to endure the shit I’m gonna be putting my body through in the future and it helps to be able to take a hit as well.
Now onto Charisma, pretty useful later on but not initially since I’m gonna need to worry more about surviving and being able to kill others than talking to them. I can improve this in the future with the intense training perk and the charisma bobblehead but I can worry about that later.
Gonna skip over intelligence since I got that out of the way initially. Moving onto Agility, I’ll be taking 4 points from this since I can improve this one through different methods such as running/cardio, different gymnastic/agility-based exercises, and working on my stretching to make myself more flexible, etc.
Finally, luck is all that’s left, I add the last 2 points to luck to bring it to 7, I then review my SPECIALs and select complete.

The changes are immediately noticeable such as my body seems significantly more sluggish. “As if it wasn’t already bad being a 1-year-old baby.”
“Haaa sigh, the training I’ll have to go through is going to be grueling.” I also notice I now have a sort of zoom to my vision and can feel other presences nearby which can only be other vault dwellers so the extra perception is gonna be a huge advantage in the wasteland when I decide to venture out.
The only other things I notice are my ability to recall information and memories has improved drastically such as being able to recall all those documentaries/articles I’ve watched/read back in my old world word for word as well as all the research I did on different companies and their products when I was trading stocks. I can also recall quite a few different gun schematics that will be very useful along with how to produce microelectronics though that one will be a long time goal since it won’t be easy making a lithography machine.
Nothing else stands out to me immediately so I roam around the room until my father returns when the vault door starts opening. *kshhhk* “Ha ha ha! You’re quite the little explorer, aren’t you? Serves me right for trying to pen you in! Come on over here. I want to show you something!”
I walk over and look at a picture frame with text on it “ See that? It was your mother’s favorite passage. It’s from the bible. Revelation 21:6.” I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.”
“she always loved that. All right, come on. Let’s go see if your little friend Amata wants to play…” Sigh, I can't wait till I'm older, it's so boring having to act like a baby.
