Time Skip 9 Years Later

While I was relaxing on my bed with my hands behind my head I started to think to myself.

Hmm, it’s been quite a while since I’ve gone over what I’ve accomplished, well let me check my special book to see how I’ve been doing as of late. I then reached under my pillow and pulled out my special book that I’ve been keeping for all these years to check my recent progress.

S.P.E.C.I.A.L:

Strength: 5

Perception: 10

Endurance: 11

Charisma: 5

Intelligence: 13

Agility: 4

Luck: 7

0 Points Left

Yeah not bad, I’ve made a gain of 9 special points over a period of 9 years but most of the gains came from the last few years but still not bad.

Let’s start off with my height, body weight, and strength. I stand at 5,5 currently and weigh about 150 pounds give or take, as for strength I’m now able to curl 132 pounds, I can easily dip my body weight for reps, my bench is up to 224, and I’m back up to doing 50-pound dumbbell shrugs like I was in my previous life and there are other strength gains across different weighted exercises but that’s enough since I don’t want to go over every little thing.

I’m actually quite the spectacle in the vault dweller gym now, it also took forever to get my old man to let me start lifting but he could only stand my teary-eyed look for so long before he caved. I also haven’t started anything hormonal or any peds since that could be problematic starting too young but I have had access to stimpaks thanks to my dad being the doctor and all. So that has been a large contributing factor to my gains along with my larger intake of food to fuel my training.

As for perception, I feel like the range I can detect others has increased somewhat but it’s very tedious to train and requires a lot of patience. I only really train it when I’m relaxing or before I fall asleep, which isn’t really all that much time since I’m trying to improve most of the time.

Onto endurance, now this one I’m not really surprised about going up since I’ve been grinding my balls off but the only benefit I’ve noticed since it’s gone up to 11 is my body is tougher overall plus the ever-increasing stamina and my skin seems to be more durable as well. For example, when I used to scratch myself with my nails it would leave a white trail along my skin, it now leaves nothing even when I dig into my skin with my nails so that’s a pretty huge benefit that could possibly get pretty ridiculous later on.

Well, there’s not really anything to say about charisma, maybe it’ll go up 1 by the time I leave the vault or not. So I’m just going to continue onto Intelligence, which has improved somewhat since I’ve been sucking up as much knowledge as possible by helping dad with his research, providing medical treatment to our fellow vault dwellers, and making visits to the vault library every day.

I’ve learned quite a bit from the library since it covers so many topics from robotics to running and building nuclear power plants to stuff as basic as cleaning radioactive water, but there is much to learn still since I only covered about a third of the library so far.

Though it has given me new inspirations such as leaving the vault early to take control of the RobCo facility to the east so I can build up some forces to move on to the VSS Facility that has a large armory with a set of T-51 Power Armor and a suit of Chinese Stealth Armor which would do wonders for upgrading my combat capabilities.

I could also try reverse engineering the technology to be used on power armor, which would probably be a necessary requirement if I want to take over raven rock safely if it’s occupied. It also has a majority of the manufacturing facilities I want, but this can be planned out further at a later date.

Moving onto agility now. Man, I hate cardio so that’s probably the main reason why it’s lagging slightly behind by 1 but still pretty good nonetheless, other than that not really much else to say here other than your usual stuff agility would affect such as the max speed at which one can move, how high one can jump and how flexible one is, though that’s about it for agility.

Okay next on the list is luck. Not much I can do to train this but I’ve had some better luck than I did in my previous life such as somehow tripping over nothing and falling face into a well-endowed women’s chest and then getting off scot-free. But that may be a combination of luck, the sex appeal trait, and being 10, though I don’t know how much sex appeal a 10-year-old boy could have if any though I shall see if it remains the same at a later date.

Okay lastly on the list of progress is I’ve managed to get my hands on quite a few microfusion cells about 200 so far of which I can turn into makeshift grenades if need be at a moment's notice locked away in my toy box along with scrap metal, electronics, duct tape, wonderglue and some other misc. components. I do need to get some parts for laser weapons, that way I can build my own and I want to see if they have any recharger laser weapons so I can take out their microfusion breeder cells, that could possibly solve any ammo/power problems I would have in the future if I can replicate it.

I’ve also made some lockpicks that I can use to practice with/break into certain areas of the vault to get my hands on more materials/gear. Something else I noticed is the vaults are much bigger than how they were depicted in the games and they have many times the number of resources. Though I will probably have to hold off on raiding the armory till I can increase my hacking skills so I can go in and out undetected.

Pretty decent progress in a short amount of time overall. “Other than that I better get a move on since it’s my 10th birthday today and I need to make my appearance as the surprised birthday boy.”

After getting up from my bed I changed into a black t-shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans, I then made my way over to the dining area of the vault. As the door for the dining area is opening I get ready to act surprised that there's a party for my birthday, who would’ve thought?

“Surprise!” Everyone hiding in the room said while I’m somehow blinded again even though my eyes were already adjusted to the lights in the hallway and it’s not any brighter in here.

“Stanley, you turned the lights on too fast. You blinded the poor kid!” Said a light-skinned man in his vault security armor who I know as officer Gomez, a chill guy. “Happy birthday!” Everyone says while clapping, I give a big smile and say “Thank you, everyone, you all really got me good.” Dad then walks up to me saying. “Happy birthday pal! I can’t believe you’re already 10. I’m so proud of you son. If only your mother was still here with us.” I say afterward. I‘m she’s watching over us.” Which makes his smile brighten.

Then Amata’s dad, also known as the overseer of our vault, walks over and says. “Congratulations, young man! I don’t have to tell you how special this day is, do I? Down here in Vault 101, when you turn 10, well, you’re ready to take on your first official Vault responsibilities but this would probably be your 3rd or 4th since you’ve been assisting your father James with his research and administering medical attention.”

Amata’s dad continues on. “So here you are. As the Overseer, I hereby present to you your very own Pip-Boy 3000! Get used to it. You’ll be getting your first work assignment tomorrow.” I give a mortified look after hearing that since my plate is already so full before he continues jokingly. “Just kidding, Ha ha ha ha ha!” Phew, I dodged a bullet, I would've had to cut my precious sleep back if he wasn’t joking.

He then hands me the Pip-Boy 3000, where I proceed to put it on my left forearm and turn it on when everything freezes. “Ah shit, here we go again.” A holographic screen then appears in front of me listing quite a bit of information which is a bit overwhelming at first.
