Later that night, a phone rang in the office room; it was Armin's manor; the music in the background was some Liszt composition that Armin had placed there as background music; he didn't bother reading the vinyl record about some Liszt composition was. He recalls his Dawid recording of a Liszt composition when they were in London, and he has a collection of similar recordings in a room with a piano and a library of music scores. His manor was an ancestral house, like Patrik's, but Armin's mansion was large, like a typical Victorian-era manor in Western Europe. And dates back to the 1840s, during the reign of Imperial Russia or the Kingdom of Poland. This was inherited from Armin's Polish mother's ancestors; she was the son of a wealthy nobleman at the time. It was damaged during the German invasion and was completely renovated only after the war when Armin and his entire family returned to Poland, and yet his father passed away in 1950, much to everyone's surprise after some incident involving the family, but they didn't mind, and his mother died a year later after tuberculosis took hold of her.
Armin picked up the telephone and said, "Hello who is this?"
"Armin!" said the man on the phone above the background commotion and continued, "I've been attempting to contact you in recent weeks."
Armin was surprised to hear the voice and kept his voice cool; this was someone he had kept silent about and stated, "My friend, You should try the other one meeting me physically like in Warsaw which I am not there right now."
"Yet, again and again, we been constantly calling you for other reasons, moreover we actually heard from other local contacts and that you were busy aiding this "Orphaned Boy" in Warsaw," the gentleman on the telephone murmured, a little dissatisfied.
Armin groaned, knowing what the man on the phone was saying, and thinking to himself, Just help at least this lost boy in this world to be recognized worldwide, may God help him. Then he added, "The other valid reasons why then you really decided to "deal" with his parents so long ago?"
"Yes, for that reason, but it was his mother's fault in the first place; we would have targeted her but ended up with collateral damage; it wasn't my fault; it was the field agents'."
"I know, I know... everyone assumed it was an accident, including the kid because I told him his parents perished in an accident afterward and someplace near the Czech border or whatever. But he still recalls what I told him when he was a kid."
"Yes, all of us in this department are aware, but looking back, it was a beginner position, and we have more experience dealing with that kind of people now."
Armin sighed and said, "You know, the pride of Poland would have taken on another such take of the Chopin competition years ago and eventually end up eliminated in the third stage in 1949 it might have been interesting to let him come out on top in 1955 but just accident left him dead together with his wife and traumatized for life kid in the backseat." David, Patrik's father, was indeed a fine pianist but died during that "accident," and Armin just deep regret as much his actions done in the past.
"As I said, it was a beginner's mistake, although we also live to regret it because it was a terrible risk, really the head honchos opted to "deal" with them regardless, and the rest is history, along with another traumatized for life kid."
"Well, discuss again in 7 days besides the psychologically traumatized kid isn't a threat to the current regime as of now, besides if he wins the future competition in 65 he is relatively harmless however he could be a threat in the future looking at his parent's cause of death," Armin grumbled.
"I agree, I'll eventually send you a highly confidential letter within a day or two, so I'll call back in seven days, so good luck with training him, my dear friend."

The man on the phone hung up, and Armin groaned, regretting all of his acts over the years, but did he do the "Deal" with Patrik's parents? He really regrets it because he was the person accountable for doing it but yet he still understands it isn't him all alone to blame the "Deal" and there would be others do detest his parents. Joana laments both herself and for her actions in college, and her other friends express concern to Anita; do so they really forget or forgive themselves? Perhaps. Then there was a tap on the door, and it was his wife, Elzbieta, or Elizabeth as her husband refers to her since they met in college. Armin checked the time, which was 10 p.m., and then peered out the window, which was totally black but completely surrounded by woody woods. He stepped up to the door, unlocked it, and Elizabeth walked in and sat near the couch, bringing him some food to eat as snacks. Armin sat across the couch, thinking about his family in general, knowing that his daughter would find out about the dark secret they are keeping sooner or later.
When Elizabeth noticed her husband, she open her mouth and immediately asked, "Armin? Are you okay? "
"I'm fine," Armin answered, but his expression shows that he was about to cry.
"Armin, I know you're not feeling well, but is it about the government again?" Elizabeth was worried about his husband.
"Yes, yes, I admit it's the same issue I had years ago."
"What exactly is it? Another one to "deal with"? Like you did with Patrik's parents, except you were forced into it in the first place? "
"I know, we all regret it, but it was my fault to bring them towards the government for what they've done simply because they forced me to do it merely..." Armin began to cry in his wife's arms and continued, "Damn it... Damn it all to hell, they would have been alive if I hadn't been forced to collaborate with them. After all these years, I simply feel horrible." After a few minutes of crying, the room fell silent just as the audio recording of Liszt's composition came to an end.
Elizabeth then stated, "I'm very extremely sorry and yet it's the current reality to live in where we are felt compelled to also collaborate with them even though the East Germans are forced to seal their tongues like we are doing right now. Besides, if our daughter learned about this, she would disown us."
Armin wiped his tears and said, "I know, and you know, but she still secretly likes Patrik, but again Sybil would've been furious if she knew. Abigail desires him, yet she aspires to be like him as a Pianist and, just as Sybil desire to become a wonderful violinist."
Elizabeth started eating some bread and then said, "Besides, how's her training in the piano for this upcoming recital?"
"Not much she is behind Patrik's interpretation, she would improve as usual and simply try to impress him again in the first place, but even so Patrik if you were to ask just need some rest for a day because he received a mild concussion to the head as I told you when I was still contacting you from Warsaw. " They drank the glass of water before continuing, "I must acknowledge that Patrik is just like Dawid or David while he was alive, but their playing is conveyed via him and creates the impression that he is still present years later."
"I agree, but Armin, do you have any plans? "
"None at all, Elizabeth; we'll talk about it tomorrow; I need to deal with some college papers because I'm a teacher." He embraced Elizabeth as well as kissed her on the forehead.
Elizabeth walked away, and Armin locked the door, unsure what to do next. He began working on the mountain of documentation on the college, including the management of the institution itself because he is one of the college's administrators. His colleagues, on the other hand, are all focused on teaching their students. Should he only do it to Patrik the kid again? No, he simply wants to be forced to do the damned thing because he has lost both his best friend and a buddy. Who knows.
