Patrik got up at 8 AM to the ringing of an alarm clock next to his bed, it was filled with sunshine and birds singing but leaves are dropping from the trees and bushes as well as the colour of it is orange and yellow than typically bright green in the summertime or even springtime. When he was a child, his mother would still barge in and wake him up, but today he has to set an alarm clock to get him up at a specified hour. I need to rehearse for the performance later, and I need to encourage myself so that I don't squander this chance. Patrik genuinely thought to himself. that he now fixed the bedroom and started cleaning again the bedroom, as usual, though when Joana previously told him back when he was a small child, "You must start learning that you'll be alone to know how to survive, I will simply teach you how to perform basic household chores whenever that time arrives." He always remembers that sentence even after years now he doesn't really feel bad about his good guardian and mother-like figure but uncertainties come occasionally when she is trying her best to be a teacher and a guardian to him. When Patrik finishes cleaning the room he always plays something from his father's recording of some classical pieces, but now he picked something out of randomness. He prepared to play the vinyl record he opened the player and inserted the record in the player and the stylus in the top then hit the button to play it. It was Beethoven's Piano Sonata "Pathétique" No.8 in C minor, Op.13, dedicated to Prince Lichnowsky, an Austrian acquaintance who knew Mozart when he was alive. His father's playing was excellent, but it was completely different from other interpretations. Even the players were amazed by the distinct approach, but no one can describe it better than David himself. On the back of the record album, it says this is for Anita and was recorded back in the 1950s a year before he died. He wrote this was a record he recorded in a studio somewhere as an award for winning a competition. Having heard when he was younger that his father was a famous pianist after winning countless piano contests in Poland during the 1949-1950s, but he failed to place at the 1950 Chopin Piano Competition after his mother passed away and was devastated by it, and he pulled out of the preliminary stage just so he could attend his mother's funeral on the same day as the competition starts. Then Patrik picked out the music sheet of the Sonata and started reading while listening carefully to the audio recording, but then the Chopin Concerto No. 1 Sheet has been on top of the piano just as well several books on Chopin's Mazurkas and his Waltzes. With his father's notes in good shape, he penned some recommendations for Patrik to adjust that whenever he plays it in the future. Patrik was hungry but he didn't care he waits for Joana to knock on his door to signal is time to eat, Joana typically gets up at 7 A.m. in the morning and plans for the day ahead but right now she is probably actually doing something else managing also the estate. Joana used to be constantly out looking at Patrik when anything awful happened to him, but now she is just free and teaches many children to play the piano. Not like the rumors and speculation that Sybil and Armin promote in Warsaw, but in Łódź, she is nice to everybody and helps her students to be better than the rumors in Warsaw. And she has some obligations, such as a commitment to Patrik's mother to be better and to train Patrik to be a renowned pianist in Poland like his father's desire of being known as such. Joana maintains her pledge to her heart after reading the letter written by Anita after she died. Explaining that she forgives Joana for what she had done but entrusted his beloved Patrik to her supervision. Following the death of David and Anita, Influence in the piano community influenced Poland's interpretation of Chopin as well as certain international players from Moscow to other areas of the world. Both were recognized to be wonderful interpreters of art but David was the known one, Everyone keeps on the watch for Patrik that will live up to his family name.

There was a knock on Patrik's door, then he paused the vinyl record player and also opened the door this was Joana summoning him in time for breakfast and there is also a personal letter for him. He walked down the stairs and sat in a chair at the dining table the meal was eggs and bacon made by one of the maids, he smelt it was great and started eating the breakfast at home while Joana was busy chatting someone in the phone presumably mostly about the estate management. Joana sat at the table gazing at the documents on the property after Patrik was done eating breakfast. Patrik was wondering about what personal letter someone had written to him. Besides he needs to practice as soon the meal is completed and other things such as he always do taking a shower and cleaning himself up. But this time, he recalls that it is time to relax, as the doctors instructed, so that he may return to Warsaw for school. Joana has the doctor's note instructing him to take only a few days off, and the college was also notified and permitted him to relax a little bit. Patrik returned to his room and kept playing the album while reading the music sheet, and all of his schoolwork or correspondence were on a table that was utilized for reading and writing or studying hard. Besides he just has a spacious study room that had been remodeled into a bedroom for him, with a somewhat landline telephone present in the bedroom it feels like office space for Patrik although it is his bedroom nonetheless used for improving his talents for playing the piano or just using to study subjects for examinations. His notebook and pen are always on hand when he listens to these recordings carefully, so he can make notes of how to achieve this type of playing. Occasionally, Joana would teach him when she had some free time. Before, she would criticize and then show him how to play. While she has excellent ideas about playing and personal interpretation, she falls short of Anita's interpretation, but as Patrik's guardian and instructor, she is responsible for teaching him. While the first movement of the sonata was coming to an end, Patrik received a call from the landline telephone on the table. He assumed that nobody would call the telephone line in his room rather than the main one in the living room and that it was a prank played by some random people, but he didn't think twice about picking it up and asking who was calling. It was a familiar voice, it was Abigail, one of Patrik's college classmates, Even though others and her family usually called her Klara, Patrik refers to her using her second first name, she was the child of Armin, she had previously been taught by his father and Joana, but she was also below Patrik's level. Patrik was even more perplexed, wondering why Abigail would contact her in the first place, especially because he didn't care as much as his friends did since he wanted some rest for a few days. He recalled the letter from Joana, picked it up, and there it was, it came from Abigail. He was silent for a second and decided to open the letter while Abigail was questioning whether anyone was available or not, but Patrik hastily read the letter and it stated something like "How are you feeling right now?" There were also letters from his classmates and friends as well, and he knew it was simply giving him time to be better when he was resting comfortably. But he left all the letters on the table for a moment to answer a phone call somewhat from Abigail, and now he understands why Abigail called him in the first place.

"Hello? Anyone in there?" Abigail sounds like she had almost enough of it. But the background noise seems apparent students were chatting. Possibly his friends were in there too.
"Oh, Hi. Is this Abigail?" Patrik somewhat said it without hesitation.

"Yes... So, how... How are you doing? Are you all right?" Abigail said it with difficulty, but her own voice changed from a regular tone to a nervous tone of voice because she hadn't expected to call Patrik's personal phone.

"Alright, but why are you calling me in the first place?" Patrik questioned Abigail, even though it didn't make sense why she would have obtained his phone number in the first place. And Patrik felt it was Abigail's father who was providing all number data in that residence.

"Just checking up on you," Abigail replied nervously, but then again changed her tone of voice and said, "So the head injury was it nothing or minor?" She was questioning him this time.
"The Doctor said it was small but they encouraged me to take rest for a few days, but apart it was only a headache that feels like is still ringing in my ears and will most likely be gone tomorrow morning or so," Patrik stated that he was correct in that the headache persisted even after a few days, but the Doctor predicted that it will go away in a few days.

"So... You'll be back in Warsaw by tomorrow or Friday?" Abigail questioned, she noticed now that additional students were listening in on the conversation, including Patrik's buddies.
"Practically sure, but I'm going to practice that piano concerto alone in my room, Wait for a second, I need to fetch something" Patrik was thinking about something else when the messages from his classmates came to mind. And he walked to the table and got everything he needed and went back to the telephone line and said, "Oh, Abigail, thank you for sending the letters when reading all of these, especially yours, which is wonderful and sticks out from the others."

While her friends were laughing uncontrollably, Abigail blushed slightly, but Sybil was slightly disappointed in her expression. Besides, they were calling from an unoccupied room down the hall, not a classroom, to phone others in from outside the university.

"Well, thank you, Patrik. Can you play anything whatsoever for me once you come back tomorrow to Warsaw?" According to Abigail, other classmates were laughing hysterically at the moment, but after hearing those words, they became confused, as did Sybil.

Patrik wasn't expecting all those exact words from Abigail and was perplexed by what she was saying, so he responded, "I'll think about it, either a simple one or a Chopin piece."

"Thank you, so uh..." She looked Sybil in the eyes as she was handed a note requesting to speak with Patrik.

"And what exactly are you saying? " When Patrik heard some voices in the background of the call, he assumed it was just some nonsense from his classmates.

"Sybil wants to speak to you," she said as she passed the phone to Sybil and sat down. Abigail was listening carefully along the crowd, Patrik believed they should be in their school classroom by now, but school hasn't started yet.

"Hello, Patrik, How's the feeling since Jan and I left the hospital? " Sybil said it calmly, but other students misinterpreted her as upset towards him. Apart from that, Jan was not in the room while they were conversing because he was eating something in the classroom.

"Pretty fine, however, if you ask me how's the head back when you were still visiting me at the local hospital, truly horrible in all sense just pure pain excruciating since of course I passed out and fell to the hard ground," Patrik said but questioned himself did she remember what Armin was discussing back in the hospital did she share something from my history again just like back in high school or elementary? He continued, "Absolutely everything you've heard is true, but I'm going to relax for a day and then I'll be back, just don't spread any more rumors, Sybil, like you always do."

"Yeah, yeah, I know that," she said, "but just be okay because the professors are expecting you to rest and not push yourself too hard and get another incident like that backstage." She was also correct; the teachers were not pushing him to the point of passing out from weariness.
"I'll consider that, but why are you still here talking to me when you were supposed to be in the classroom right now? " Patrik seemed to be irritated because his classmates and friends were not in the classroom, as they would get berated by even their professors for messing around on the campus.

"Oh yeah thank you for reminding me, I'll be going now as well bye Patrik. And Abigail wants to speak to you again." Except for Abigail and Her, every one of the students inside the room departed and headed to the classroom as soon as she stated that.

Sybil got out of the classroom and headed to the classroom but the time for the class wasn't there yet. There were still students arriving on campus or leaving the dormitory, waking up, and heading to class, which generally began at 10 a.m. and conclude at 7 P.M.

When Abigail was handed back the phone, she said nothing, but Patrik examined one letter that was covertly included that was written to him, and it was something indicating that she liked him. Patrik had missed the letter earlier since he was reading all of the get well messages from his classmates. When he got to that letter, he assumed it was a draft, but it turned out to be a confession. Both had nothing to say for a minute straight, simply quiet in the room save for noises from above from some classrooms.

"Well Abigail, I didn't expect you to confess to me through a letter written, although you are widely popular in our class like me, I do appreciate you as having strong abilities and natural aptitude on the piano," Patrik stated, surprised.

"Thank you," Abigail responded, blushing brightly, "but I've liked you since we first saw you in high school a few ago, and I know Sybil has secretly liked you since elementary school."
"But why are you telling me this? That you just like me, I like you as your musicianship demonstrates, but personally, I somewhat like you too, throughout the years' people regard you as just some major rivals in the piano field in our own school where we learn." People perceived both as major rivals outranking one another's talent and talents; during the years during which they were in middle and high school, there have been competitions for musicianship, and Patrik always won, but she still came in second place as always.

"I just like you because this feeling hasn't gone away since middle school or high school if my memory serves me correctly." Abigail was expressing this and reminiscing all of her secondary school experiences with him. Her entire mind had been in turmoil, that he may really embrace her as much more than a girlfriend, her left half feared she also would be totally rejected just on spot, but her right side suggested it would go easily.

"So any explanation left or that's all? " At this time, Patrik had decided that he would accept her as his girlfriend, but all of the events of the previous few days had left him confused. From the reasons revealed by Joana, Sybil liked her to her overall passive-aggressive behavior and the incident of passing out.

"That's all, just reject me if you don't want m-" She was interrupted by Patrik

"Just shut up, I had actually decided now, I fully accept your confession, For past years I do like you actually secretly and now you'll be my girlfriend but one condition doesn't tell anybody about this even Sybil or your parents." Patrik started it without hesitation, but Abigail believed it was something an alcoholic would say, but she still succeeded in her intentions by doing so. But he went on, "Even so, we'd be in tremendous school drama from Sybil or even the school saying, "Ah the two turned from just being competitors to becoming love birds." Just please keep it a secret between both of us since I don't have to draw unnecessary attention from everyone as well as conflicting with my routine to practice the piano."

Abigail was confused about whatever Patrik was saying at the same she was happy it was successful but she said, "THANK YOU! But, as long we keep our mouths shut right?"

"Yes, we need to," Patrik said in a serious tone.

Both people said their goodbyes since Patrik has to recover and practice while Abigail needs to attend lessons because she is in Warsaw. Patrik, on the other hand, has to get things cleaned up before returning to Warsaw to study and graduate from college with his desired degree in music. Was it important? Patrik questioned himself. Is this the right moment to start dating her? Who knows what God has in store for me? He made a comment. There was a knock at the door, and it was Joana. She hadn't heard the entire talk, but she was now checking on Patrik and his session to instruct him on that Piano Concerto. Another day for Patrik, but a new obligation to fulfill for him. As Abigail's lover. He has to take it since he liked him before as a musician respecting other musicians and a Boyfriend.
