Julia

Finn clung to Josefine sobbing. She stroked his back, now that she was no longer a cat, and looked at Julia. Finn's left leg was in a strange position. Presumably, he had broken it while running or falling. Julia stroked his hair. "Leo brings Marko back, Finn", she murmured softly. "He's coming back."

Finn's sobs only grew louder.

"Oh, Finn!" She pressed a kiss to his hair and looked at Josefine.

"I'm so sorry, Finn", said the dragon girl. "I know how you feel."

"He's dead! And I'll never see him again!", whined Finn. "And I couldn't do anything. I couldn't say goodbye again."

"What's wrong?" Peter arrived breathless.

"Finn's father and Marko's parents passed away." Julia sighed. "And he broke his leg."

"The leg doesn't matter!", scolded Finn.

"Deceased?" Fiete frowned. "That's bad."

"I'll carry Finn in. So that his leg can heal properly!" Peter carefully took Finn out of Josefine's arms. Fiete followed him into the tent.

"How are you?" Josefine wanted to know.

"I'm dizzy."

"You shouldn't have gotten up... Come. I'll help you."

As they got up, they saw Leopold come back with Marko, who cries.

Fritz

"And your visit was successful?" Paula smiled. "I'm happy about that!" They sat in the garden and watched Paula's parents play with their children. Her mother carried little Nino and her father whirled Loelia through the air. The little one was a real grandpa child. When her grandfather was there, she wasn't interested in anyone else.

"Paul and Valentina will help us." Fritz put his arm around his wife. "And tomorrow I'm going to visit Ingried."

"What excuse are you using this time?"

"None. The hospital in the capital has made progress on the drug against the disease. Maybe we can produce it cheaper with this new composition. A cheaper option for the poor. I don't know yet how effective the new drug is, but it's good news."

"It really is."

"Soon, the disease will hopefully be a quickly curable trifle. For all citizens!"

Paula's mother came to them because Nino had started crying. Paula took the unhappy baby and showered him with kisses.

"What are you talking about?", asked Lilly.

"About the fact that there will soon be a cheaper drug. Against the disease", Fritz replied.

"How wonderful!" Lilly sat down next to him. "This is finally good news for my old ears! Georg and I thought about staying the whole week. How would you two find that?"

"That's a good thing!" Paula cradled Nino in her arms. The little boy fell asleep. "Fritz is leaving tomorrow. I could use some company. Especially since our nanny is sick and won't be back until next week."

"You're leaving?" Lilly looked at Fritz disapprovingly. "You leave your wife alone too much. You have two children to raise!"

Fritz sighed. Lilly often accused him of this. "As the Queen's son, I have many obligations. And these always come first. Whether I like it or not."

"Your children should come first!". the old lady snorted. "Not any obligations!"

"That's right." Paula gave him a quick glance. "That's the downside of marrying a prince. The crown always comes first." Now she winked mischievously at him. Fritz stopped himself from grinning. This crown doesn't come first!

"You'll be a bad father, Fritz! Feel warned!" Lilly stood up, stroked Paula's hair, and joined her husband.

"I'm sorry. She doesn't know that we belong to the uprising and that you are therefore on the road much more." Paula leaned against him. "And you're a great father! But all this is very difficult to reconcile... Also that we have to keep the children secret."

"Not forever."

"Yes. Not forever!"

Agathe

Agathe watched as servants loaded her suitcases into one of the cuddles. Ten soldiers and her personal servant Liesa would accompany her. The other bound servants were bound to the castle, not to Agathe or Friedrich. He did not have his own bound servant. He didn't want one. Several carriages were needed for the journey. They would travel with the fast horses of the elves so that they arrived faster in the swampland. Friedrich hummed restlessly to himself. Something was bothering him, but he said everything was fine.

"Friedrich! Please stop this! I have a headache!", she finally hissed. In fact, she had woken up in the morning with a headache. Probably it was the stress...

Or that she had spent half the night trying to find Julia with visions. Unsuccessful.

This uncertainty drove her crazy.

Why couldn't she see Julia?

How was this possible? Nothing like this had ever happened to her, and she had never heard anything like it from other witches and wizards.

So how was Julia hidden from her? Agathe did not believe that her daughter had died. And even if. Shouldn't she at least have seen her death?

Visions had their own will, but Agathe knew that she had a good chance of seeing what she wanted if she stayed persistent.

"Agathe? Honey?" Friedrich touched her shoulder. "The carriages are loaded. Everything is ready. We're ready to go."

"Very good." I need weapons against dragons. I hope the vampires have something... I could also write them a letter... No... With the birthday as an event, that would be very rude. I don't care about the child... It exists only to maintain our bond with the vampires. So that they give me what I need!

Smiling, the queen got into her carriage. Friedrich followed her and looked anxiously at the castle again before the carriage left.
